“I've been stopping at the Sandbar for a couple years now, My usual Go to items are whole belly clam rolls or dinner and a Scallop roll or dinner The seafood is always cooked to order, Battered and deep fried and is always delicious While the restaurant might not seem spectacular to some, its a nice place to pop into if you like battered seafood not overcooked but just perfectly cooked its easy to miss leaving elm st if you get on the Kimberly Ave Bridge into New Haven you went past, coming from New Haven cross the bridge and its right at the foot of the bridge on the right side“

“I come to this special place once a month since I enjoy the special air that is outline this restaurant. The staff is exceptionally helpful and well trained. The service is awfully quick. Not to mention, the food they cook is outstanding. I have been there more than once and I was never disappointed. The cost is modest. I suggest this restaurant to to all.“

“I came in and looked at the menu. The lady behind the counter was waiting on me, and then I ordered chicken wings with French fries. When I got my order, she was very polite and easygoing. The food was great because the food wasn't greasy. The service was excellent. They also serve seafood...seems like competitive priced with other seafood restaurants. Give this restaurant a try. Wasn't so bad with my experience, and it was my first time.“

“I’ve been a regular here since Day 1 and I can’t believe I didn’t post a review until NOW!! What can I say, it’s the best seafood in West Haven HANDS DOWN! The oysters are fresh, the lobster rolls are the best, and the mussels for 2 is so flavorful. The staff are like family and welcome you with open arms. For drinks, I recommend the manhattans, old fashioned, espresso martinis and dirty martini with the blue cheese stuffed olives (YUM!). Their Moby’s lager is delicious and there’s a great selection of tequila. The bartenders are the best around! My favorite dishes are the lobster Mac, Lobster Rolls, Tuna Sushimi Oysters, Oysters Rockefeller, and tuna tartare. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with your dining experience! Nick and the crew will take good care of you. I’m a customer for life ❤️“
