“What a great place! I got take out today: garlic naan and butter chicken. A treat, with delicious, flavorful chicken and a cream sauce that was not overpowering, but just right in the use of spices. As an aficionado of Indian food, this is truly delicious food. The restaurant is immaculate and decorated beautifully. Five stars, given without hesitation. Treat yourself and go there!“

“My husband and I had an incredible dining experience here. We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh, chicken Chettinad, and the meat sampler, and everything was absolutely amazing. The chicken kebabs were unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. Every dish was perfectly cooked and so satisfying. For dessert, we had the gulab jamun — so, so good and the perfect way to end the meal. On top of the amazing food and drinks, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We can’t wait to go back!“

“My girlfriend is Indian and so far this is her favorite Indian restaurant in the United States. I agree with her the quality of the food it top notch.
That said, I also respect their honesty because we asked if the biryani was made traditionally and they admitted they made it like fried rice. Real biryani is made with the meat and rice cooked together. Therefore- I’d recommend everything on the menu except biryani.
If you are making biryani then call it biryani. If you are making fried rice then don’t call it biryani🤷♀️ if the server was not honest about the biryani and we tried it this would be a much lower review.“

“My family and I were driving back home and decided to make a pit stop at Marshalls in Norwalk CT. Two doors to the right is Vedas a small cozy 8-seater restaurant that offered Indian lunch specials. My wife and daughter had always associated Indian food to be spicy, but they were willing to try it out. So my wife ordered the butter chicken and my daughter the chicken tikka masala and butter naan. The hot meals came and after eating for a while, they said wow this is delicious, it is not spicy and has this nice blend of spices. Perfect! I ordered palak paneer with a bit of spice and the dish was so tasty. Whether your taste buds are into non spicy or spicy Indian dishes, check out Vedas and you’ll find their specials and prices are friendly for travelers.“

“We had a delicious meal of some of the best Indian food we’ve had in a long time! We had takeout and we’ll do it again soon. The lamb was particularly good.“

“It is a very cozy place with a wonderful ambiance.
The food presentation was excellent, and the quality was impressive. We particularly enjoyed the Lasooni Gobi, which featured very fresh ingredients. The naan was exactly what I was looking for in terms of softness, and both the Mutter Paneer and Vegetable Tikka Masala were amazing. Additionally, the portion sizes were quite generous for the price.
I also appreciated the BYOB policy, as it was great to pair my own wine with the meal. While the restaurant is currently a perfect place for families and kids, I believe it could also be an ideal dating spot with a few small adjustments, such as playing soft instrumental music, placing candles on the tables, and dimming the lights further.
Regarding your promotions, I enjoyed the BOGO offer but would love to see more vegetarian options included. Adding Dosa to the menu would also be a great addition.
I love this restaurant and plan to return in the near future. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family.“

The chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Tandoori are to die for! Such great deep flavors and color.
The garlic naan…could not get enough. If you get some tikka masala sauce on the side..good for dipping!“

“Saravanaa Bhavan is the kind of place people go to when they’re craving real South Indian comfort food. The menu is packed with classics like dosas, idlis, vadas, and thalis that feel familiar and satisfying rather than fancy or modernized. The dosas come out crisp and generously sized, and the sambar and chutneys bring the kind of flavors that make the meal feel comforting and complete. The dining room is simple and often busy, which adds to the feeling that this is a place focused more on food than atmosphere. Service can sometimes feel a bit rushed and a few dishes lean slightly oily, but that’s also part of the traditional style. Overall, Saravanaa Bhavan is one of those reliable spots where the food consistently delivers exactly what you’re hoping for when you want classic South Indian comfort dishes.“

“Cool small neighborhood pizza place where you can get ...neighborhood pizza. I really like this place, but it's kind of hidden, in the intersection across from Mama's Kitchen. Bonus, there are a lot of great items here besides pizza....such as tandoori and biriyani_which you may not be interested in, but I am always looking for Indian food....“
