LA native here. I just don’t understand the 4.4 rating. When I came in there was no one upstairs to greet me so I had to go downstairs to the cantina. Two other people came in and had to do the same thing. Why have a host station to greet people ? Then, service was slow because the kitchen is downstairs.Flavors were good but the chicken in the mole poblano was dry. The tortillas and guacamole were good but the beans were slurpy. Popped in for dinner on a whim and WOW. The best Mexican food we've had in DC. Great service, prices, and stellar food. Special shout out to the rice and beans, and cactus that came on my carne asada. We've already planned to make it a regular spot.
