“This is far by the best “Takeout”Chinese food that I have found in the area since moving from New York a few years ago. I don’t know about you all, but I can taste the quality ingredients can tell the difference in preparation versus other classic takeout joints. If you need a quick easy example, get some of their wonton soup and look at the broth. That alone is an example of the high-quality preparation and ingredients that goes into the food from this restaurant. Hey…, To each their own, but I just wanted to show some respect to these guys because in my world some Chinese takeout is a pretty nice and important thing every now and then.“

“My wife and I lost our Chinese takeout restaurant which recently closed so we were forced to find a new place. We recently ordered our food from New Dragon. I waited until I ordered food at least five or six times before leaving this review. I can say that New Dragon has very good food, it's consistent in appearance and taste, and each time we got it, the portions were very generous. We order the pepper steak, chicken & broccoli, spare ribs, Wonton soup, steamed dumplings, roast pork fried rice, and roast pork lo mein , and all the dishes were very good. Their spare ribs are excellent quality with more meat and little fat and they're covered in a delicious sauce. The people who serve you are very nice and you can see into the kitchen where the food is prepared and we found the kitchen to pretty neat and clean. I can recommend New Dragon.“

“Had a great meal at ugly dumpling, greeted with great service right away! Service was personable and accommodating to my stroller and a high chair for toddler. The establishment is extremely clean and beautifully designed. Waitress was helpful in assisting with menu, family style small plates, 3-4 plates for a couple suggested. There is a small wait after 6 pm, but the cooking staff are fast, and the woman at the front is a wizard. She cooks, answers phones, yells at the guys on occasion, and moves like LIGHTNING!

“I live in pike creek and I have a Chinese place near me. I recently purchased food from this place and ohhh man! I will continue to drive the extra miles for this place! The food compared to the place next to me has won my heart! The place is very friendly, I don’t know the man’s name at the front but he was extremely friendly. So friendly I had to tip him!“

“This Chinese food was bomb! The sauce on my chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce was amazing. I had the perfect amount of spice to give it the little kick without being overly spicy. The shrimp fried rice was very small, but very good. I had a decent amount of shrimp in it and had very good flavor. The rice was not greasy. I took off a star because I got the combination platter and it was supposed to come with an eggroll, but it was not in the bag. Even though the worker behind the counter told me he put duck sauce in the bag for it.

“Take out only but plenty of room to wait inside for food with view of kitchen where meals are prepared. I always go with the chicken and broccoli and eggrolls - something I grew up eating and still enjoy to this day. Other favorites include pork fried rice and lomein. I’ve been coming here since 1996 and it’s always been the best essential Chinese food in the area.“

I told him that I would give him and the restaurant a good review. He gave me the Q r Code paper and here I am using it. I only wish that they had brown rice. They had white rice. “Rice has long been our go-to place in DE for sashimi: thick cuts (as they should be), always fresh, expertly prepared. We love the wonton soup and fried rice as well, and everything we've tried from the non-sushi menu has always been a cut above. Everything tastes prepared fresh that day; the vegetables are crisp; it's never overloaded with salty, gooey sauce. So many places just cover up mushy vegetables and old rice with sugar-heavy sauce because it's what we Americans expect, but this restaurant seems to actually care about putting out quality. “Didn't go in person, we ordered online. Food was delivered 30 minutes EARLY, we were amazed! Everything was delicious; it all tasted freshly made (vs. stuff that's been on the stove for hours.) The chicken in the chicken-fried-rice tasted like REAL chicken. I could taste all the vegetables in my Shrimp with Chinese vegetables dish. (Very often those things are basically tasteless if they've been simmering too long). All in all a very nice surprise. Glad they've re-opened.“

“Best Chinese food on Main, they have a mix of Chinese-American dishes but also more traditional Chinese food, specifically tons of Sichuan cuisine. It's so good! the Portions are always so huge too. If you're new to traditional Chinese, start with the more Americanized dishes first, but experiment!
P.S, do not be alarmed by lack of American-style restaurant service, its just how it is here, the food is great. Half of the bad reviews are about that lol and they dont understand cultural differences“

“Small place, mostly for takeout or delivery - I've tried many other places, but Great Wall has been my go-to when I get a craving, for 16 years. My family has never had complaints like some other reviews. Would be nice if the place got fixed up a little more, but even with delivery the food is always super hot and freshly made!

I’m a Newark resident and commonly eat here, though usually the same thing I’m a huge fan of their Lo mein, General Tso, Egg Foo Yung, Wonton soup and their teriyaki chicken sticks. These have never been bad!! Though busy and seemingly short staff they all have a professional and welcoming attitude. Great place with a long standing in a loving community.“
