“When in for a meal after being at work all day. It was one of those looonnnggg days, staff was great. Manager greeted me as soon as I walked in. Sat at the bar had a few apps and my entire mood changed. Food was amazing. Never been to this spot before but I’ll certainly be returning.“

“There were four of us for early dinner on Saturday evening and it was superb! I can’t find one thing to complain about, from the wonderful waitress to the clean restroom! The food was delicious….we had crab soup which was so hot and tasty with lots of crab…. Steamed shrimp that were large and cooked perfectly…..Rockfish platter with fries was gone in minutes…,and crab cakes that were oversized and more lump meat than anything else! My husband had the swamp water…. Which he really looks forward to getting there. The parking lot was full and they were busy but the service was quick and reasonable !!! We can’t wait to eat there again!!!“

“Tomeka's is what a soul food restaurant should be and they do everything right. They have excellent food, excellent customer service, and an excellent atmosphere. The fish and chicken are cooked to order so be prepared to wait a couple of minutes for fresh food. Thank you for restoring my faith in restaurants. I wish all restaurants followed your model.“

“I was looking around for a good soul food restaurant last night. We normally go out of the state to eat. I looked online and found this place. I read the reviews. I just wanted to check it out for myself. The fried whiting was super delicious. It was season very well. The yams were also delicious. They ran out of the Mac n cheese. So, that tells me that it is good. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Hopefully they get the support and be around for years to come. There are no good food places to eat here in Dover and in Delaware.“

“Used to go to Hall's regularly until they lost it. Recently tried Mike and Mels and were pleasantly surprised. Split pea soup is the real deal, chunks of ham and delicious flavor. So is the chicken noodle soup. Chunks of chicken, a hearty broth and great flavor. Liver and onions is done just right and tender. Have tried several burgers and they do a nice job on them. Good breakfast, but I am not a fan of their home fries. Reasonable prices and good service.“

“Went for Mother’s Day for a seafood boil. Made my own bag with sausage, snow crab legs and shrimp. I wouldn’t come back for seafood simply because we paid $16 for one crab cluster and I love my crab legs. The seasoning and sauce was amazing though. It was our server’s 2nd day working and he did really well. There was one server in the room that had a really loud voice and was practically yelling at customers when she was standing right next to them. It really irritated me so I was ready to go.“
