We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!“

Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. “These have been the best fried hard wings I’ve had in a long time. They are always fried to my liking and the gentleman that I encountered today was great. I enjoyed our interaction. Mohin was his name and he was very kind and made sure to double check my order a few times to make sure I had the correct items. The restaurant is very clean if you ever want to sit and eat your food after you order and pick it up. They have a soda machine with the general flavors we all love. I’ve been here 4 times so far and I’ve yet to have a complaint. Thanks for being great!!!“

“Had a party of 3, myself and my daughter and her boyfriend. We are from Georgia, I am here occasionally but I wanted my daughter to get the full Jersey ambiance. The restaurant did not disappoint. The Prime Rib was amazing the crab cakes were out of this world. Food was amazing, service was top notch. Highly recommend the Sunday evening buffet special.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Kennett Square. The dishes are both flavorful and authentic. Their satay, dumplings, drunken noodles, pad see ew, pad thai, and panang curry did not disappoint.

They also serve an American style breakfast on the weekends that is better than any I have found in the area. This place is a gem.“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“
