“A Genuine Surprise Stop on Our Way Back From NYC

We were on our way home from NYC, planning to wash the car before calling it a day, when we drove past Pennsville Custard Stand. Right before it, we passed what can only be described as a crack den (a rundown motel with a few guys doing the crack dance), and honestly, we didn’t expect much more down the road.

Then suddenly, we see this beautiful little hole-in-the-wall shack that completely caught us off guard. Not only were the prices super reasonable, but the service was lightning fast — in and out like that.

It was clearly a regular local spot too. We saw a dad just casually enjoying his custard outside his truck, like this was his go-to ritual, while my wife and I enjoyed ours. It had this wholesome, small-town vibe that made the whole stop feel unexpectedly special.

If you’re ever passing through, don’t sleep on this place. Absolute gem.“

“my friend and I had lunch here with our little ones today (2 and 5) i picked here because i knew they would be child friendly.because lets be honest you never know what's going to happen taking toddlers to a restaurant. they were well behaved but i want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing server Zuri. “This was our first time visiting. I was liked the variety of ice cream flavors they have to offer. They also have pints, cheeses, and some ground beef. We were lucky that the line was not that long when we arrived, but after exiting the order area, the line had become way longer. The place also has some picnic tables and benches, so we were able to find a seat and enjoy our delicious ice cream. The portions were nice. I ordered the banana ice cream and my husband ordered the turtle. We both enjoyed them. I can't wait to try other flavors. We will return soon.“

But their flavor board is Huge for this small neighborhood shop and changes from time to time. You can't pick wrong. “This is the central campus location for UDairy Creamery, and I LOVE that I can also get food here. My favorite is the breakfast toast with hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and olive oil. It's seriously AMAZING! I'm not sure what kind of bread they are using, but it's phenominal.
