“The ramen here is incredible and the best I've ever tasted (and I've been to Crane Ramen)! My wife and I got the Chintan and the Miso ramen with pork. They were both so delicious! The golden noodles are fresh, the broth is rich, and the toppings are flavorful - especially the egg. The restaurant is very cute on the inside, with lots of pop culture and anime decor to look at. They have beer and wine. The service is efficient and polite. We'll definitely be back!“

“Love this little extension of Cry Babys! The vibe is awesome, but I have yet to make it to a show at night. The happy hour is a good deal however - they have gin specials and some snacks to munch on before dinner. My favorite part of the bar has been the bartenders, they seem to really know what they are doing when it comes to mixology. Looking forward to seeing some of the creative cocktails that they come up with in the future!“

“The Flying Biscuit never disappoints! This time I tried the Dirty Bird dish and loved it! The chicken sausage gravy compliments the entire dish. The chicken tenders were juicy, and the belgian waffle was yummy. Of course, the biscuit with the apple butter is to die for. My Nephew loved his plain French toast. My Sister enjoyed her Free Bird with poached eggs. I recommend this spot if you're in Gainesville. Make sure to come early or put yourself on the waitlist - this place is always busy on the weekends.“

“This was my first time visiting this sushi place. The first thing that stood out to me was how friendly and polite the staff were. Our waitress was awesome and did a great job making sure that our cups were never empty. The sushi at this place, while pricey, is actually some of the best that I have ever had. I ordered the tuna sushi and was surprised that they actually put whole chunks of fresh meat into the roll rather than the chopped up stuff I usually see at other restaurants. I highly recommend the spicy tuna roll as it was phenomenal. The miso soup was also very flavorful and had a deep smoky flavor with bits of tofu and the scallion garnish really brought it all together. My wife ordered some kind of tofu noodle dish but I didn't find it nearly as good as their sushi. My daughter ordered the pork cutlet dish over noodles and it was pretty tasty overall. Everything was fresh however, I much preferred the sushi here more than the other entrees. If you are wanting to try high-quality sushi, I strongly recommend Ichiban Sushi. They are a bit more than the average sushi place but then again, Ichiban isn't serving average sushi.“

Fat Tuesday at Celebration Pointe Bar •
4949 Celebration Pointe Ave, Gainesville

“This location doesn't have food, just drinks, you just walk in and pick your flavors, and you can get multiple ones per drink. I went with the hurricane, eye candy, and strawberry. You can also get different size cups and reusable ones. The smallest size is a good price for the drink. The reusable cups are more expensive, but then you get the refills cheaper. If you were to come here often, it would be a good deal to get one of the reusable ones.“

“The music is very good in this place but the environment is very badly designed. There is so much space in this building, and yet everyone gets cramped in one room. I think they need a serious renovation. The drinks are priced good and if you like latin music, the music is good. But go early as it gets VERY “

The Dime Bar • $

“Best lemon drop martini that I have ever had. The bartender is always really friendly and seems to know what he's doing. He's very consistent with his drinks. The space itself is quite small and doesn't hold a lot of people. There are some tables out at but overall, seating is limited. We will pop in for a couple of drinks before we head out for the night.“

“We were visiting Gainesville to see UF and my cursory Yelp search for a lunch spot brought up this place. Little did I realize it was located in the hotel I was staying at. Normally, hotel restaurants are meh, so the good rating stood out. Upon being seated, we received an iPad with the menu on it. The menu was easy to navigate and had something for everyone. Compared to the DC areas, prices were moderate. I ended up getting the tuna nachos and ceviche for an appetizer. We also split a cuban sandwich, a steak sandwich, and a French onion grilled cheese. All were excellent. Service was attentive and timely. Definitely a spot to visit when in Gainesville.“
