“Today marked a memorable occasion, and my husband and I chose to celebrate at our beloved, favorite Masala Mantra Indian Bistro. It's our anniversary! The food and service there never fail to impress. I often find myself declaring Indian cuisine as my top pick among all the international flavors out there! The warmth of Indian hospitality is truly delightful. Our waiter, Akhil, is exceptional—his attentive and meticulous service stands out every time. The restaurant consistently maintains a pristine, fresh, and elegantly appointed atmosphere. Akhil and the manager went above and beyond to make our anniversary unforgettable. They surprised us with a scrumptious slice of mango cheesecake, adorned with a candle, and handed me a lighter to ignite it and mark the occasion! How thoughtful is that? “We stopped by over the weekend only because we were too early to be where we needed to be. My youngest daughter has cancer and wasn’t really feeling well. We were sat at a table, thought everything was fine, but she didn’t want the chairs (hip surgery, legs were hurting) So we asked for a high chair and still no, then a booth and she was finally comfortable! I was so overwhelmed but the young women working were being so sweet and without even a second look they were accommodating. We thought our girl wouldn’t eat, but she asked for bacon and she said it was the best bacon! All of our food was amazing, even though we had to speed eat to get to where we needed to be. I really couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative for how we were treated, I was at my breaking point and ended up leaving with a very happy family. Thank you!“

“The ambience in this restaurant is just fabulous. The vibe is pleasant and everyone seems happy to be there. My only complaint is how loud it is. They really don't need music playing from randomly placed speakers all over the place when the acoustics are already very poor. I had to ask them to turn off the speaker near me because between the table near me talking loudly and the music, it was uncomfortable.

The dish I got was just ok; tofu and vegetables. It really needing something to make it all not so mushy and bland. My husband had coconut shrimp which was ok too.

Our server, Ashley, was fabulous. And the robot is pretty awesome too. For the price of their items, though, they need to take it up a notch with the quality of the food.“

“These guys epitomize what it means to be a good neighbor. Tonight the power went out in my corner. I called it into JEA and trampled out to find some AC, a place to charge up my Phone and dinner. Between the electric and some work brouhaha I wanted no part of, I was flustered in ordering and blurted out my current predicament. The counter guy brought me a complimentary water, graciously let me use a power outlet, and let me get myself reset before returning to deal with JEA and what turned out to be a busted transformer. I was rushed or hurried out. There was no side eye of “how long is he going to be here” or even for the meager order I put in to justify my presence. In that moment they took care of my physically (food and water) and psychologically (safe place, charged up phone, etc). I was already a fan of this place before this hiccup in life. Now I’m a grateful patron who love this neighbor BIG time. To these guys it may not have seemed like they did much but in that moment you guys rocked it like all stars. So don’t go to these guys for their AMAZING food (I could have their samosas daily and be so happy). Go and celebrate what a WONDERFUL part of the community they are… forever in your debt for that hour of peace you guys gave.“

I can't remember what I had, but I ate it all and sampled her and my Son's entree as well. The food, the atmosphere and the hospitality of Evana will be my go to for my next experience. “Came here with a party of 7 plus a baby as I did not know how small it was. They accomdated us and didn't bat an eye and making sure we were all comfortable and they could access where they needed to serve tables behind us. (I had a reservation and they were expecting us however there was a mix up on how many people) I brought my parents here who don't ever eat this kind of food. They asked a lot of questions and were in my opinion annoying. The staff must be used to this as again no irritation and were helpful and able to accommodate requests.
Edamame was great. I cannot stand bland edamame with no seasoning. This is seasoned, not spicy but there is flavor.
Katsu chicken curry. Chicken cooked perfectly not soggy and a nice crispy texture. Curry could've been spicier.
Curry ramen. Comes with 3 pieces of the beef brisket. (I ordered extra and added 2 more slices to mine) Had to add in quite a bit of chili sauce to get the spice up to my level of preference but with some doctoring it was perfect. (Probably about 6 scoops) Amazing ramen and the beef was so tender you could pull apart with the spoon. Zero complaints everything was cooked perfectly.
Coffee fluffy pancake. I've never had fluffy pancakes before so I wasn't sure what I was expecting. But these are fluffy and thick. I was thinking they would be more batter-y or softer. Good but wouldn't order again. Little bland on the flavor.
For the amount of food everything is priced very reasonably. Total spent on 7 people was $200. Wait time was not bad either. I will mention they were out of several things and they only do the build your own bowl on weekdays which was a bummer. Definitely recommend and that you overlook the abandoned shopping plaza this place lives in and go check it out. Just understand that there are only about 10 or 12 tables.“

“We visited River & Post last night for the first time for a birthday dinner after hearing so many good things, and I can honestly say the praise was very well deserved. Everything from the quality and timeliness of our meals to the friendly, informative and attentive servers were exceptional, which sadly is not a common trait in upscale restaurants. I had the Broiled Ocean Platter which consisted of broiled mahi, three sea scallops and four large shrimp served in a citrus herb beurre blanc sauce, whipped potatoes and beautiful crisp tender veggies. All of my entre ingredients were cooked perfectly, the buttery lemon sauce was such a nice compliment to this dish and let all the distinct flavors of each seafood component shine. Too often sauces can be overpowering and used to moisten overcooked and flavorless seafood. I’m glad I opted out of a predinner salad or appetizer as this entre is very substantial and I wanted to save some room for dessert. My husband also very much enjoyed his choice of the Seared Filet Mignon served a mustard demi-glace, confit potatoes and sauteed broccolini. The steak was perfectly prepared to his medium rare request and he raved about how flavorful it was. Both of our meals arrived hot, beautifully plated, and we devoured them completely. Then the decision came for dessert. Since we were sharing, we opted for the wonderfully decadent Chocolate Mousse Torte. This torte could easily be called “Death by Chocolate” due to its intense deep chocolate flavor which had a more silken fudge like consistency than a typical fluffy mousse, but still seemed surprisingly light as the chocolate just melted in our mouths. The torte was served with a chocolate drizzle, freshly whipped cream and plump blackberries. What a wonderful finish to this birthday dinner! Thank you, R&P, for this great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back, and we won’t be waiting for the next birthday to do so.“

“One year ago we lost a very dear friend, co-worker, family member and loved one! We went to seasons 52 to celebrate his life and brought with us (his ashes). The staff at seasons 52 town center Jacksonville Florida was amazing and accepted the situation as if he was there! From the bar tender Michael who served him a drink to the receptionist who Renee who made us fell very welcome and treated our friend with respect and dignity to our waiter Blake who also went the extra mile to make our experience exceptional! We would like to recognize these people for helping us make our friends night out so very special we will be back every year because of them and the service, not to mention the food was amazing! We have frequented CULHANES at the Beach since 2010, the fabulous Ruby Beach used to play there on Saturday nights. It was then we discovered the amazing Irish recipes that are mouthwatering! There are so many great dishes, all of the Irish dishes you would expect and then some, all with the. Culhane twist! There are also many fabulous offerings of American dishes, always with that little extra. Extra special drinks and beers, not to mention 5 Sisters Vodka they produce. This is a very special restaurant as they have recipes you will not find anywhere else. The daily specials and happy hour are worth coming in for!
The CULHANES sisters are amazing to work with. CULHANES Southside is a classy richly decorated venue with an incredible staff! Our open mic patrons are having a ball !
