“My wife and I love barbecue and had Smokin Jim's a few times on occasion. This time we went in on a Saturday night and decided to once again have some delicious barbeque. The pulled pork is delicious and the best in town for sure and the steak that "Muscles" made was on par. The best part of going there this time though was not the food. The food was fantastic but meeting Jim the owner was a pleasure. He is friendly and kind. He offered me and my wife to sample some other items on the menu. The steak was done to perfection and had great flavors. The pulled pork egg roll was new for us but is now a delicious new favorite and the chicken was moist, hot and succulent. Jim is a kind man and took excellent care of me and my wife. Great barbeque, great service, great people. Thanks Jim!“
“Great experience once again. The pork dinner for 2 is the absolute best. Pulled pork, two ribs, two sides, two pieces of bread, and a banana pudding for each for $32. Drinks are an extra $2 each. Definitely worth the experience and the food. Staff are really friendly and patient. I love eating here!Parking: It's a dirt patch with some gravel. Some spots may be a bit difficult to get out of due to the mud.“
“We’ve been here about 6 times for lunch during our stay in Florida. The loaded pork BBQ tater tots are beyond delicious (get the cheese on the side)-and it’s enough for 2 servings! My husband said BBQ brisket quesadilla is his fav (the photo shows the sandwich). The sweet tea is super sweet! The owner is usually walking around checking on customers which is a nice touch. If you only go to Eagle Lake for this place it’s worth the drive. And buy a bottle (or 3 ?) of the sweet BBQ sauce to take home!“

“I’d say it’s a good thing I don’t live on this side of town, even worse I work about 30 seconds away. How I haven’t eaten here yet, I have no clue. When I say 10/10, WOW this quesadilla is DELICIOUS. The service was so amazing, and my food didn’t even take 10 minutes. “We went for lunch, four of us for the first time. Had the burnt ends as an appetizer, they were outstanding! I had the shrimp and grits, best I've had in Lakeland! The shrimp were perfect and even my bride liked the grits, and she doesn't eat grits!! I highly recommend! Everything on the table was amazing, friends had brisket and they said it was delicious!“
“I purchased 1/2 steer from Lazy L Beef and spoke to Hunter at Combee & Sons about the cut sheet and he gave me such great info on how to fill it out. They let me know once the beef was ready for pickup and were super friendly. They even gave us a special cut of beef to try that is normally not included with our purchase. Great service! Will use them again in the future!“

I got The General Van Fleet, which consist of 3 Spare Ribs, Pull Pork and Chicken, Sausage, Brisket, and 3 sides, Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad, and Greens.(I should've got w sides of Mac and Cheese instead of the Greens). And Texas Toast. This is definitely going to be my spot.“
