“I visit Sonny's in Haines city regularly and am very pleased with the variety, taste, and flavors of all the food items. Their specials are well worth it. One particular server, Ms. Mary Rose, is noticeably courteous, and goes the "extra mile" to make meal time a pleasure. Her attentive hospitality should be recognized and rewarded.“

“Love the staff and food. Tried the restaurant after the renovation and the new items added to the menu are awesome. Everything is hot and fresh. Home made pickles are a tasty garnish. The French fries are lightly seasoned and thick crinkle cut. Golden texture is great and you don’t even need ketchup. The pulled bbq is our fav along with the Mac n cheese. Best out there. The owner comes around to Check on the tables and the staff are so friendly, you feel like part of the family. Can’t wait to go back. Breanna was our server tonight and she is sweet as the bbq sauce and took great care of us, great service.“

“My son and I visited Cooter’s Smokehouse for the first time last week. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wasn’t going to order dessert because I was stuffed, however the banana bread was too tempting to pass up. I’m so happy I ordered it, it was delicious. I am so happy we finally stopped by and now we have found our forever bbq spot.“

“My family frequently this location and have never had a bad meal or service. What the manager did this evening topped every experience I have ever had since ever going to sonny's for several decades now. I was having to place an order online to be picked up as we were not able to dine in, had a couple of issues with the app so figured I would just walk in and order. Saw both gm's and wanted to let them know the issues I was seeing with the app, issue was also happening when trying to order the same thing from a pc as well on their website. He immediately called corporate but being after hours I think he was only able to leave a voicemail. After listening to me he takes me over to the takeout counter and tells the cashier my order is on him for having a bad experience. I couldn't believe it as it was so generous of him. The food was superb and we will definitely be back as you don't find customer service like that everywhere you go anymore. They have showed they are not only serious about their bbq but also their commitment to outstanding customer service. Thank you for the great experience.“

“The appetizers are all amazing. She recommended the fried jalepenos and they were sooooo good. Not spicy but full of flavor. The nachos with beef were great, the cheese curds were so good. The food was ok. Mashed potatoes were definitely instant. the steaks were lackluster and thin. probably more like a 5 ounce ribeye than 8. Just lacked flavor. My husband liked his chicken fried chicken. The brown gravy needs work. I don't think that was homemade. Tasted jarred. The collard greens were excellent with the special pepper vinegar they have. The boys didn't like their food. They ordered a wrap, a mushroom swiss burger and bbq. My daughter loved her chicken and my son's hot dog was huge. The prices were really high for what you get. The apps are worth it, though. We stopped here because as usual, Cherry Pocket was slammed. Gotta get there early. The lady who waited on us was a bit abrupt towards my son for not speaking loud enough. She fussed at him. He is 16 and had a brain injury when he was younger. He cannot speak louder. We actually almost walked out because of her attitude towards him. She even looked at him and was like um no you weren't. The place is loud, anyway. We probably will not be back. But again, the apps are good.“

“This was hands down the best barbecue/soul food I’ve had in a long time. The wings are perfectly crispy but slightly smoky and I’m not sure the sauce but it’s a good balance of heat and sweet. The bbq chicken was moist but still had a great smoke and the sauce paired was excellent. The sides though are a show stopper, we went back for extra greens because they reminded us of our grandmother. My husband that doesn’t like beans loved these. And the Mac and cheese…. So gooey and just delicious. My wallet might be in danger. 🤣“

“Me and my family went there. Our server, Taylor, was incredible! The food was decent, a bit dry. It came out quickly and hot, and Taylor made sure all of our allergies and whatnot were covered. My son, who struggles with social anxiety, had a great time because Taylor was very patient and kind with him.“
