“My parents and I came to Bartow for a quick trip. We just wanted to pick up dinner and found Palace Pizza down the street from our airbnb. It was a great pizza! The pizza dough was excellent and had good flavor. The staff were very friendly. My husband didn’t make this trip and we have a lot of good pizza places at home, but I told him that he needs to come to Bartow to try this pizza!”

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.”

“Tantrums food truck was at Front Page Brewery in Bartow and we weren’t going to get anything we brought pizza but I kept smelling the food so we got the shrimp and grits. Best decision of my life! I love shrimp and grits but this is a different take on it. It was absolutely delicious! Like how did this come off a food truck! The crispy grits cakes the bacon peppers and onions the shrimp cooked perfectly! Can’t wait for them to come back!”

“We usually always have good luck when ordering Marco's. Not tonight! I ordered a 12 inch sub and on the app chose only meat and cheese. They screwed it up and added veggies. That wasn't theb worst as I could pick them off. They put Italian dressing or whatever it was and I cang eat that. Sub went un the garbage and we are done with subs there”

“I have nothing but good things to say about this place. First off, I’d been craving GOOD tacos for quite some time. Especially when it comes to barbacoa and lengua. Most restaurants try to pass off a cheaper cut of meat as barbacoa but not here. It was so tender and flavorful! The menudo was perfect. Everything was tender and not chewy. She warned me about the red sauce being very hot but I feel it was the perfect amount of spice for my daughter and I. The piña frescas was nice and refreshing. It wasn’t overfilled with ice. I drove from north Lakeland just to try them and I’m so glad they were open. This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Bartow. The customer service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Can’t wait to try more! Unfortunately I didn’t get many photos because everything was sooooo good. People that know me know how much of a foody I am and this is authentic Mexican food. Full of flavor and love!”

“UnFiltered is a wonderful local gem — a cozy, whimsical coffee shop and bookstore with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is excellent, the food is delicious, and their coffee flights are awesome, with lots of fun flavors to choose from. The space is beautifully decorated, with plenty of unique seating options that make it easy to relax, read, or chat with friends. I especially loved how cozy and inviting everything felt, and be sure to check out the charming bookstore upstairs — it’s a must-see. A delightful spot to unwind and enjoy great vibes all around.”

The journey your tastebuds go on, from the first bite to the last, is one everyone strives to experience when dining out. Not only is their food outstanding, but their customer service is excellent. For example, during Hurricane Milton, they were there for this community. When all of us were at home readying our homes for the storm, the staff remained at work to ensure everyone had access to a hot meal. When all of us were sitting without power, worrying about storm damage and cleaning up, the staff served our community with hot meals. This is going over and beyond in so many ways. I will be a forever client of this establishment due to their high-quality food and how they care about the communities they serve. We recently bought a home less than two miles from one of their locations. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I eat here five days a week, sometimes more. We volunteer at Bartow Middle School 3-4 days a week. What do the teachers and staff ask us to get when there? The lake house. Please stop by and allow your senses to fall in love with this hidden gem. Let’s support small businesses like this that serve our community so well.”

“Very happy with the wedding cake they did for us. Stunning display, tasted fantastic and fresh, had multiple flavors by layer, and the entire thing was Gluten Free but didn't taste weird. “This location is good, but just want to say, one of your employees just tried to start a fight with me at the gas pump while in Firehouse uniform. I pumped gas, and then had to go inside and wait in line for my receipt, when i get back to my car, she is mad and questioning me on why my car was at the pump. Kicking up a fuss and threatening over nothing. Probably not the best public image, since she was in uniform and either going to or leaving work. She sucks, but your location is great!”
