“My parents and I came to Bartow for a quick trip. We just wanted to pick up dinner and found Palace Pizza down the street from our airbnb. It was a great pizza! The pizza dough was excellent and had good flavor. The staff were very friendly. My husband didn’t make this trip and we have a lot of good pizza places at home, but I told him that he needs to come to Bartow to try this pizza!”

“What a gem!! We are hooked!! My toddler had a runny nose and cough, Jodi recommended some camu camu powder and POW!! Baby bypassed the fever and had energy!!

I look forward to trying all the nutritious and delicious foods they offer! So far we are hooked on the Peanut Butter Fix Smoothie with Vanilla Powder!! The Pumpkin Buckwheat Waffles with Walnuts, Craisins and maple syrup sent us to the moon & back!!

Prices are very generous and well worth it! You are not only investing in your HEALTH but your tastebuds!!

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.”

“We found out a high school friend works here so, so we had to stop in and see him after 40 something years. We ordered the white sauce chicken pizza for 2, my husband was first meeting my ole high school friend. The pizza was really good. The crust was fresh and the white sauce was just enough to give flavor and the chicken on it was delicious. What a great place to meet and reminisce and have good food. All employees that we came across was very polite and courteous. We will be coming through a few times a year through sport8ng events so we will definitely stop by.

“Food that makes you take a moment to appreciate high-quality cuisine. Not only is their food freshly made when you order, but it also tastes phenomenal. Nothing on their menu is terrible. The journey your tastebuds go on, from the first bite to the last, is one everyone strives to experience when dining out. Not only is their food outstanding, but their customer service is excellent. For example, during Hurricane Milton, they were there for this community. When all of us were at home readying our homes for the storm, the staff remained at work to ensure everyone had access to a hot meal. When all of us were sitting without power, worrying about storm damage and cleaning up, the staff served our community with hot meals. This is going over and beyond in so many ways. I will be a forever client of this establishment due to their high-quality food and how they care about the communities they serve. We recently bought a home less than two miles from one of their locations. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I eat here five days a week, sometimes more. We volunteer at Bartow Middle School 3-4 days a week. What do the teachers and staff ask us to get when there? The lake house. Please stop by and allow your senses to fall in love with this hidden gem. Let’s support small businesses like this that serve our community so well.”

“Perkins in Bartow always cooks the food perfectly. My server, Angela was very prompt, sweet and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised that Perkins has a large variety of nutritious, delicious meals under $10 to choose from now. Are we finally getting old school American prices back? Yay!”

“I have nothing but good things to say about this place. First off, I’d been craving GOOD tacos for quite some time. Especially when it comes to barbacoa and lengua. Most restaurants try to pass off a cheaper cut of meat as barbacoa but not here. It was so tender and flavorful! The menudo was perfect. Everything was tender and not chewy. She warned me about the red sauce being very hot but I feel it was the perfect amount of spice for my daughter and I. The piña frescas was nice and refreshing. It wasn’t overfilled with ice. I drove from north Lakeland just to try them and I’m so glad they were open. This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Bartow. The customer service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Can’t wait to try more! Unfortunately I didn’t get many photos because everything was sooooo good. People that know me know how much of a foody I am and this is authentic Mexican food. Full of flavor and love!”

“This location is good, but just want to say, one of your employees just tried to start a fight with me at the gas pump while in Firehouse uniform. I pumped gas, and then had to go inside and wait in line for my receipt, when i get back to my car, she is mad and questioning me on why my car was at the pump. Kicking up a fuss and threatening over nothing. Probably not the best public image, since she was in uniform and either going to or leaving work. She sucks, but your location is great!”

“We just had the nicest breakfast here. There are huge windows that allow you to watch planes taking off and landing. Our breakfast was completely reasonably priced (under $30 for two people) and the food was fantastic! Added bonus : there is a cool museum right outside the restaurant, in the airport terminal that you can check out as well!”

“The vibe in this place is really good, but the space feels cramped. I might suggest putting a couple of tables outside...after all Bartow is a beautiful town to enjoy. Because the small space, it feels there is a lot going on, and that takes away a little from the otherwise great experience. I had a cafe con leche, and it was good, but the milk in it was starting to go bad. Business owners has to be 100% aware of what they are using, however I don't want to blame the owner, it can happen to anyone, but just be aware. I also had a cookie and it felt fresh and was tasty. I really liked the place. Probably the cramped space is my only thing, but that is also not unusual for a small town. I'll be back, for sure. Oh, nice detail on the beautiful mugs they use to serve the coffee. Overall, a nice hometown feel on the coffee shop.”

Everything tasted delicious-- chicken was tender & juicy, lettuce, tomato & onion toppings were fresh and waffle fries were cooked just right, non-greasy. Also had a brownie. Servers friendly. Inside really clean. This Bartow location is one of the best fast food restaurants.”
