“My family and I ate here tonight. I drove by a few times and didn't get that it wasn't a fusion restaurant (because I'm bad at geography ?) So once I thought to check the menu out, we had to check it out. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My oldest really wanted sopa de pollo, so that's why we went tonight and it got 5 stars from her. It's a good portion for an adult, or for a kid to bring some home. My toddler was happy to be able to order a cheeseburger from the kids menu, it was a good sized burger even for an older child (she ate her fries and brought the burger home) My husband got "almuerzo del cubano" it was good and fun to see on a menu (rice and fried eggs was a go-to meal for me as a picky kid) it came with platanos, but neither of us noticed the meal didnt include beans and kinda wished it did (we could have ordered them ala carte) my steak sandwich was good. I know costs on everything are going up but I do feel like the prices/vs portion sizes on the entrees specifically is a little high. I don't want that to make my entire review sound like a complaint because we will be back (I don't like making soup ?), and everything was lovely, just a smidge pricier than anticipated“

“Hmm where should I start? The food was great no complaints from me. I had the mofongo with pork my husband had the mofongo with chicken and my niece and daughter had the churrasco with arroz gondules. The mofongo was the best I’ve ever had moist and flavorful. My daughter and niece said the churrasco was a little too salty. Atmosphere was great! We would definitely return.“

“The outside strip mall restaurant with a big Jamaican Flag on it, you can't miss it. Walked in to nice ambient Jamaican music playing. The first thing to catch my eye was the writing on the wall, literally... It was a Jamaican proverb, it made me smile and made me interested in knowing the kind of person running the place. I walked up to the window, and a smiling elder woman of color greeted my friend and I. She was very polite and welcoming.. We ordered the curry chicken and curry goat both with rice and peas, one with Jamaican coleslaw and the other with cooked cabbage. Reasonably priced, portion was good enough to get full from. The flavor was delicious, it made my face happy. My friend enjoyed hers as well. There were a few wooden table and chairs there so we decided to eat there. The lady brought our food out to the table. We Grabbed a couple of the Jamaican sodas and had a great lunch. We then ordered 2 patties, not because we were still hungry, just because we wanted to try them... WARNING, If you don't like real spicy food, don't get the pattie. It felt like it melted my taste buds. Glad I ate the curry first or I wouldn't have been able to taste it. As we were getting up to leave, the lady thanked us and wished a quick return. That's when I found out that the lady was Gloria. Ms Gloria is the G in the B&G. Her and her husband run the place. I was truly blessed to have come across this place just because I wanted something different to eat. I could tell that Ms Gloria loves what she is doing. We asked her if she catered in Lake Wales since this place was located in Bartow, she said yes but she prefers to see her customers faces.. I love that. That just tells me she enjoys feeding people. When you enjoy feeding people the love shines through. Thanks B&G. I will visit again.Parking: Located in a strip mall the is ample parking just a few feet from the door.“
