“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.“

“We can’t say enough about the Fish City Grill staff! We have ordered takeout/delivery numerous times and they get it right every time. Our favorite dishes are the flounder with crab stuffing, Alabama catfish, and the herb crusted trout. We ask the staff to put side dishes in separate containers which they do. “Amazing Food & Unparalleled Service at KPot! We frequent KPot Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, and it never disappoints! The food is always delicious, fresh, and well worth the price—which we find to be extremely reasonable for the quality and variety offered. Every visit is a great experience, but our most recent one was truly exceptional, thanks to our server, Hailan. Hailan went above and beyond to take care of us—she was incredibly attentive, kind, and respectful, providing the best service we’ve ever had at KPot. My boyfriend, a USAF veteran who was stationed in Korea, was especially moved by her service, saying it reminded him of his time overseas. He couldn’t stop talking about how her attentiveness and warmth brought back great memories and made the experience feel even more authentic. It was so special to see how happy it made him, and I was thrilled to finally experience the “full effect” of Korean hospitality because of her. We will absolutely be back (as always!), but from now on, we’ll definitely be asking for Hailan. If you visit, we highly recommend doing the same—she truly made our night unforgettable!“

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“Love this Thai place - the best one in Lakeland, in my opinion. I adore the curries, especially the green and Masaman, which are spicy, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We always start with their crispy spring rolls, although the curry puff is tasty also. My girls love the chicken udon noodles, which are done perfectly. Nice-sized portions, great service, clean restaurant. In my Lakeland top 5 - highly recommend.“
