“Tantrums food truck was at Front Page Brewery in Bartow and we weren’t going to get anything we brought pizza but I kept smelling the food so we got the shrimp and grits. Best decision of my life! I love shrimp and grits but this is a different take on it. It was absolutely delicious! Like how did this come off a food truck! The crispy grits cakes the bacon peppers and onions the shrimp cooked perfectly! Can’t wait for them to come back!“

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.“

“First time stopping in and immediately noticed how steep the prices were 😳, but I ordered anyway (bc treat yo’self, ya know?). I love fried gizzards and thought I’d try theirs. The gizzards were tender but could have been a bit more seasoned in my opinion. There were also a lot tough pieces which sucks because they’re inedible and included in the weight. I could understand getting 2 or 3 tough pieces in a 1/2lb but there were quite a few. When raw you can usually tell which pieces will be tough by color so I’m not sure why they’re not picked out. I don’t regret stopping by, but will continue to go to CC&F in Lakeland because their gizzards NEVER miss. *chef’s kiss*“

“We took our food to go, but from what we saw the place looked really clean and nice. The food was incredible! We got a little bit of everything and all dishes were a hit! The grilled tilapia with fries were such great portions and that shrimp po boy with that special sauce wow!!! Grilled shrimp was also delicious. Would totally be back when I’m in Lakeland again and recommend this place.“

“Had a lovely late lunch today. Our waitress, MacKenzie, was great! The beef and ginger potstickers were delicious! Loved the lemon drop martini and the parmesean crusted rainbow trout wonderful. I especially was happy to see the broccoli florets cooked soft enough and yet not mushy. My husband loved his blackened salmon. We will be back!“

“Food was good, but the bartender that we had was rude, short, and never once offered to refill my drink. My wife got several refills and when I asked the bartender said so I forgot. Hard to leave a great review. My first and probably last time due to the rude and disrespectful bartender.“

“Nice lil hidden gem we found next to Legoland. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. A lil miscommunication with the waitress due to the language barrier. The atmosphere was clean, nothing fancy. We ordered the oxtail pho which was not as tender but still good. The combination and meat ball pho was rightfully seasoned. I recommend the combination pad thai and fried rice which was really delicious. The smoothies are made of powdered material and milky taste so it wasn't as good. Besides that, we enjoyed the food there.“

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“I always go to Carrabba's when Kathleen works. She is very friendly, knows her customers and makes people feel welcome. She knows how to make drinks and always makes sure her customer's are taken care of. The service and food are both very good.“

“Love this Thai place - the best one in Lakeland, in my opinion. I adore the curries, especially the green and Masaman, which are spicy, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We always start with their crispy spring rolls, although the curry puff is tasty also. My girls love the chicken udon noodles, which are done perfectly. Nice-sized portions, great service, clean restaurant. In my Lakeland top 5 - highly recommend.“

“Trying to find great Chinese food is hard now days. As a Chef, I’m hard to please, but Peking had me singing and dancing at the table. Food was fresh and HOT! The flavors were spot on and I finally had some spicy hot mustard. The Chinese beer is only 4.95 a bottle! We were here a month ago and they were $4.50. Tariffs? Who knows. “This place is awesome! I'm a truck driver got in town late, found this place on Google and went to order they stop serving food at 11:30, I ordered and let them know I would be there right before the closes at 12 midnight, they called me back shortly before I arrived to get an update on my arrival, so that my food was hot and fresh. The service and the staffs attuneds were outstanding, I as a truck have rarely found service as good as these guy and gals. 100 out of 10 ratting would recommend!“
