“We just had the nicest breakfast here. There are huge windows that allow you to watch planes taking off and landing. Our breakfast was completely reasonably priced (under $30 for two people) and the food was fantastic! Added bonus : there is a cool museum right outside the restaurant, in the airport terminal that you can check out as well!“

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.“

“We can’t say enough about the Fish City Grill staff! We have ordered takeout/delivery numerous times and they get it right every time. Our favorite dishes are the flounder with crab stuffing, Alabama catfish, and the herb crusted trout. We ask the staff to put side dishes in separate containers which they do. Our meals are carefully packed and come to our home ready to serve. Thank you Lance and staff! ?“

“So, I hit up Kpot in Lakeland, ready to grill some goodies, our server was Sam. She was definitely an experience. Sam was a super friendly, slightly spacey, but totally endearing human whirlwind. She zipped around like she was on a mission to save the world. I'm pretty sure Sam forgot my cousins drink order twice, but honestly, her smile was so genuine, I couldn't even be mad. It's like Sam were running a marathon, but instead of water, she were fueled by pure, unadulterated niceness. If you're looking for a server who's gonna make you laugh and maybe accidentally bring you an extra side of kimchi, same is your girl! Just be patient, enjoy the chaos, and remember, they're probably juggling a million things at once. Big props to Kpot for hiring such a sweetheart!“

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“Trying to find great Chinese food is hard now days. As a Chef, I’m hard to please, but Peking had me singing and dancing at the table. Food was fresh and HOT! The flavors were spot on and I finally had some spicy hot mustard. The Chinese beer is only 4.95 a bottle! We were here a month ago and they were $4.50. Tariffs? Who knows. “Love this Thai place - the best one in Lakeland, in my opinion. I adore the curries, especially the green and Masaman, which are spicy, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We always start with their crispy spring rolls, although the curry puff is tasty also. My girls love the chicken udon noodles, which are done perfectly. Nice-sized portions, great service, clean restaurant. In my Lakeland top 5 - highly recommend.“
