“I was visiting from North Carolina for the holidays and me and the family decided to stop by Cantina Captiva for lunch. I don’t normally write reviews on my restaurant experiences but I just wanted to point out how excellent the food and service was! Especially our server Jeffery who was so friendly and professional! The restaurant was pretty busy ( as to be expected during the holiday season) but Jeffery did an amazing job handling the chaos while still being attentive to our needs. I worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade so that level of professionalism and friendliness while also multitasking is an incredible skill that I very much respect and appreciate. I believe when people go above and beyond they should be recognized for it. So big shout out to Jeffery as well as the rest of the staff! And thanks for recommending the fish tacos, they were amazing!“

“We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. The food was prepared and s.erved promptly. I had the chicken saltimboca. the chicken was a bit overcooked and the rice was way too salty. My husband had the special lamb shank which he said was very good.“

“Our family had lunch there today for the first time in a long time. (12/14/25). We had a Cuban, grouper, & Sanibel cheese steak, and all the sandwiches & sides were excellent !! As great as our food was, the friendly service provided by Bailley was as good as the food. She does a excellent job with her customers“

“The food is amazing and you can tell everything is made with fresh, quality ingredients. We tried the Mermaid, Slawpy Hog, & Big Tex with the Mediterranean orzo salad and watermelon cucumber salad. Everything was delicious and the service was even better-so friendly!! I highly recommend you check them out.“

“My friends and I have been coming to Sanibel for 24 years. This year was hard for me personally. Recently diagnosed with Alpha Gal a severe allergy to many things including meat dairy eggs and others. Already was allergic to gluten. I was afraid I wouldn't have food options on the island until I found The Sanibel Sprout. Their coconut bacon BLT saved my life and I went there 5 out of 7 days. The ladies there are amazing and they even have Bible verses painted on shells you can buy. I would highly recommend and just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of me!“
