I had a great experience at Hook Seafood & Wings thanks to Daniel, the cashier. From the moment I walked in, he was respectful, fast, and professional. He greeted everyone with a positive attitude, stayed focused even when it got busy, and made sure every customer was taken care of quickly and accurately.

What stood out the most was how patient and clear he was when explaining the menu or answering questions—he never made anyone feel rushed or ignored. You can tell he takes his job seriously and wants people to leave happy.

However, I'm giving four stars because the portion of risotto was quite large compared to the amount of beef tenderloin. A bit more balance between the two would have made it perfect.“

“My husband did great choosing this place for my birthday dinner last week! My friends had the Mahi Mahi, husband had the grouper, and I had the fish special with orzo/crab fritters. For dessert we had key lime pie and the icky sticky. The octopus appetizer was great also. I had a guava punch cocktail. All around an enjoyable experience!“

It was a Monday afternoon so I wasn’t expecting much When I walked In the Aruba Beach Cafe just in time for the 4pm Happy Hour and saw the Salty Pirates Duo on stage, I had to stay to check it out. The food was incredible, as was the really friendly waitress. The Salty Pirates were awesome and a lot of fun. Looking forward to returning next time I’m in the area!“

“Reservation was for 7:30pm and when we arrived we were immediately seated. Restaurant seemed bright for dinner service. 30-45mins into dinner they dimmed the dinning room. Drinks were ok but not to the level for this establishment. We ordered crab cakes and oysters Rockefeller. Oysters were great. Crab cakes were a little underwhelming. We went with the 50oz waygu tomahawk, medium rare, truffle mashed potatoes, corn pudding, cream spinach. The steak was amazing and almost fell apart in your mouth. Truffle Mashed Potatoes and corn were great but cream spinach was not and we did not finish it. I have to say that the service level was top of line and a highlight of dinner. All in all just a good dinner but not great especially for a Michelin Nod restaurant and the price point. There are better steak houses in Ft Lauderdale.“

“These guys are THE BEST. Not only is the food just as amazing as it’s always been (I’ve been a semi-regular for nearly 25 years), but the staff and management are top notch. Recently my best friend passed and his brother knew he loved Catfish Dewey’s, so he wanted to have a dinner there with local friends, neighbors, and colleagues. I went in and spoke to Joe, the manager. He assured they’d make it happen and they did so, flawlessly and with great attention to detail. They managed a party of nearly 48 people in addition to their regular clientele, even bringing in extra staff to help with the event. These folks went out of their way to make sure this special event went flawlessly and it did. The waitresses, whose names I cannot remember (I told you I wouldn’t…sorry! Ha!) were amazing. Food runners, on point. Bartenders, outstanding. Management, excellent. There’s a lot of love and care in this establishment and it should be celebrated. There’s not enough of that these days. Support local businesses who care, especially those with GREAT food AND great people like Catfish Deweys.“

“What an amazing mistake walking up to the door. We thought it was the entrance for the corner spot. we cannot say enough about the service, staff and food here! Our hostess hooked us with her smile and pleasant suggestions to give them a shot. There were three of us, two had the grouper sandwich and I had the wrap. The sandwiches are huge! The rolls were fresh and fluffy. Definitely a must stop! We come fishing every year and definitely will be back. We caught Rick the manager on the way out and were able to share how pleased we were.“

Parking: JBs is located on a busy bend by the pier in Deerfield. It has pedestrians, bicycles and a whole array of cars always being dropped off, the valets do a great job!“

“We went this evening after seeing a friend post the menu. WOW!!! We sat right at the bar and had the Drunken Mussels app, gumbo, shrimp poboy, and shrimp taco. What a GREAT meal. The staff was friendly and top notch. We met Chef Joe who obviously has passion, talent, skill and fantastic people skills and enjoyed chatting with him just as much as his creations. “First time coming here. I wanted authentic Chinese and I was not disappointed. The decor of the restaurant is very Chinese traditional with vibrant red against gold colored decorations and smartly adorned tablecloths. The food was excellent reminiscent of a large city china town. Service was excellent as well. Will definitely return.“
