“The guy who runs the place where I’m staying in Fort Lauderdale very highly recommended this restaurant. I thought to myself, I’ve been to Peru and one guinea pig was enough.
Anyway, my host was absolutely right this place knocks it out of the park. I’ll start with the service. Very attentive very prompt, well natured. Nothing more needed there.
The decor leaves something to be desired. The black 2 x 4 ceiling tiles and grid have long since expired. Paint colors included light gray, a smidge darker than light gray, and dark gray. The two gray beams that trisect the main dining room could be finished in something like a bronze metallic and it would define the space and add some much needed energy.
I had a pistachio mocha martini which was a special feature. It was very delicious… kind of like drinking a Dubai chocolate bar. Such fun.
My entree was wok-stir fried beef tenderloins, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, soy sauce, served with spaghetti in a creamy yellow sauce. Though serving was generous, I couldn’t get enough of it, the tender meat in soy sauce contrasting with the creamy pasta was very tasty. I don’t know what the dish was called. I pointed to it on the menu and the waiter kindly pronounced it for me. Anyway, absolutely fantastic dish. I’m so glad I tried this place and I will certainly return when I revisit the area.“

It came highly recommended by Chris, and it did not disappoint! As someone who is quite picky about Italian food, we were all thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service. From the moment we walked in, Salvo and his partner made us feel like part of their family. Their hospitality was incredibly welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. Where else can you go where the owner sits down at your table and, within minutes, you’re all singing “That’s Amore”? Salvo got a gleam in his eye and asked me if I wanted to sing! I was happy to accommodate—it truly added to the vibrant and enjoyable experience. Now, let's talk about the food! “I hosted my baby shower at Oceanic and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The Southern Room upstairs was the ideal size for our 40 guests. Spacious yet intimate, with such a beautiful atmosphere and access to a private balcony overlooking the beach. Our event coordinators, Casey and Maria, were incredible to work with throughout the planning process. They were both organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making everything seamless.

The buffet options were fantastic, our guests are still raving about the chicken and waffles, and the donut hole bar was such a fun and delicious hit. On the day of the event, Bobby and Amanda went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive, helpful, and truly made us feel taken care of.

We’ve received so many compliments from our guests about the food, service, and overall experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special day. Highly recommend!“

“I can't get enough of this place; everything is fresh and tasty and the prices are good. I'm there at least once a week and drive a half hour for their mahi mahi. The lobster rolls are big and meaty and the shrimp is always prepared perfectly.“

“First time here for Mother’s Day dinner and our experience was excellent. If you get the chance to have Robyn as your expert (she is so
much more than a server), you are in for a phenomenal experience. We ordered the burrata and steak tartar as appetizers. For our meal, we had the scallops, Parmesan Sole, truffle Mac n cheese and crab fried rice. Every single thing was amazing. The Parmesan sole and Mac n cheese though may have been 2 of the best things I’ve ever tasted. We were truly blown away. “Lucky’s Fish is exactly what you want from a Florida beachfront spot with nothing but good vibes and even better food. The staff was great, with multiple people checking on our table, and sitting outside in the sun under a shaded area made lunch with the family feel special. My fish sandwich was top notch, and the coleslaw on the side was tasty without being too heavy on the mayo. My mom’s salad with pineapple was delicious and not overly sweet, and my wife’s chicken sandwich was super juicy and full of flavor. It is hard to imagine Lucky’s having a bad dish because everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked like something I would order too.“

We ordered the risotto a la huancaína with lomo saltado and the entraña, and both dishes were absolutely delicious also absolutely amazing drinks! Passion spritz was redesign and perfect! This time I tasted the Maine Lobster Chitarra, a half Maine lobster with squid ink pasta and calamari. It was excellent.
This is the reason why I keep coming back to this place so often. This time, Big Jim was our waiter. Very efficient and friendly.

“Hooks Catch Seafood in Coral Springs delivered one of the best casual seafood meals we’ve had in a long time. Everything arrived hot and seasoned just right—flavorful without being salty. The team working there is genuinely kind, and we even had the chance to meet the owner’s son, who was just as friendly and welcoming.

The blackened catfish was absolutely perfect, cooked with care and great flavor. The French fries deserve their own mention: crisp, clean, and cooked in their own dedicated oil, which means no contamination and no heavy salt. The chicken was just as impressive—hot, juicy, and full of flavor.

The restaurant is kept clean, including the bathroom, and they offer drink refills, which is always appreciated. Hooks is the kind of place where the food is great and the people make it even better.“

“The cashies was very pleasant and took my order promptly. Although I overheard the cooks in the back using bad language, which I felt was inappropriate. My food was ready In less than 10 minutes. Nice and hot, but overly seasoned with the lemon pepper seasoning. Food was overall good though.“

“This company is located at the Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood FL on Sheridan St. booth #640….don't get Ceviche from any other Ceviche places there. I ordered the Classic Ceviche, and was not disappointed! It was fresh, and delicious! The owner and his wife were very friendly and provided very good customer service. They make the ceviche fresh to order. I will return, and recommend this restaurant if you happen to go to this Farmers Market. It’s not right at the entrance but worth the walk thru!! 👍“

My wife and I split a cold and a hot. I preferred the cold she preferred the hot. I thought the hot could have used a touch of salt.“

“During our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, we had dinner at the Burlock Coast Restaurant located within the hotel. The food and service were spot on. There is both indoor and outdoor dining. We enjoyed some cocktails and shared a few appetizers, including the shrimp cocktail. After that, we took a lovely walk along the beach, which is right across from the restaurant.“

“Great turkey BLT and Spin-arty dip and chips were great. Nice and thick. Jerk chicken wrap is not for true Island folk unless you just want a hand held food and the taste doesn't matter. Then it will be more than fling. This one is sweet which is bothersome and inaccurate. Fries are good. My drink was terrible (Long Island something -er-other). Was watered down and not worth price. Waitress was nice enough to offer a different beverage but not a discount or charge off of the nasty one. The lighting where we sat was atrocious for dining and food. Maybe drinks don't matter as much but yellow food is not a great idea haha 😅“
