“My husband found this little gem and we went for brunch on our first day in Coral Gables. We struck gold! Not only was our server, Monica, a treat but so was the food. We went with two of her recommendations. The il piu italiano avo toast and mega mushroom omelette…so good!! I went back the next morning because I really wanted to try the don’t be a (lemon) tart French toast…another hit. And my server, Rashad, was another gem! “I stop by the cafe here every now and then when I'm in the area, and always love the ambience, the food, and the fact that you can browse or buy a book or few (while supporting a family-owned local business).

I had lunch at the bar yesterday, and had a particularly great experience thanks to the bartender Gabriel, who not only provided me with exceptional service, but I watched while he handled what could have been a bad situation with grace and diplomacy beyond what I'm sure I would have been capable of.

A woman came in with a group that was stopping in the area part of a bus tour, and they were trying to get a quick bite. In spite of the woman clearly acting entitled and trying to push to get food out right away, he calmly explained that he didn't want to promise something he couldn't deliver and disappoint her, and that the cafe was full, it's a small kitchen, and the staff in back was already dealing with a 12+ long line of orders in process.

He offered her some solutions like grabbing dessert which was already made etc. but she clearly was just upset that she wasn't getting special treatment and having her unrealistic expectations met. I have no doubt that if he had responded in anything less than the impeccably professional manner that he did, she could have easily caused a ruckus, but instead she and her friends left without further issue once it was clear that it wasn't going to be feasible to get food out in their tight timeframe.“

“Madruga Bakery is truly the best bakery I’ve ever been to — not only because the food is incredible (their egg sandwich and pastries are unforgettable), but because of the people who make it special.

I travel to the area for work, and I always make it a point to stop here because of a gentleman named Mansor who works up front. He is one of the kindest human beings I’ve ever met. He brings so much joy to his work, and he genuinely lights up when he recognizes a familiar face. His warmth and kindness make every visit feel personal.

You select and buy food to your liking because the options are many, varied and with good presentation and then you select a good coffee prepared at the moment to your liking. If you don't want to eat, you go alone to choose the coffee and sit inside or outside to enjoy your selection. It's just that you leave confused and continue to the supermarket and what you see captivates you.“

He is very patient & understanding even when my drink is a bit complicated and im always very greatful.
