“I go here every week for dinner. I have lived all over the US and this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is great and the staff are excellent. This week Stephanie was my wait person and she always does a great job and makes you feel welcome.“
“Fresh, tasty and quick. Priced well and good service. We had a combo of burritos, quesadillas and tacos with our 8 person crew. Everything was great and everyone was happy, which is hard. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Will definitely be back!“
“Food was soooo good, Noheila was out waitress she was awesome!!! I had the seafood burritos plate, that sauce was delicious! My sister had the Big A burrito with a pound a chicken and steak! It was huge!! Meat was tender and well seasoned. Our drinks were on point! A very nice over all experience. Definitely a must next time we are in Destin! They do charge you more if you use your card instead of cash had to deduct a star for that.“
“Amazing food like some of the best Mexican food I have had in a long time, I can tell you they were so fast no kidding this was speedy I was so impressed, and it was just a fun place to be in we were outside. We over all were so impressed with it or I would not be leaving this review right now.“
“La Monarca is sunny and bright with a relaxing atmosphere. Fast and excellent service and we really enjoyed eating here. Highly recommend!! We loved the fried plantains, the homemade freshly made corn tortillas, refried beans, and yummy beef! The salsas were amazing too!“
“Was pleasantly surprised. Decided to try as they advertised gulf shrimp. Did not disappoint. Ordered the fajita with steak and shrimp. Great portions and very tasty. Was generous with shrimp, several large pieces. Steak portions were good, quality was mid range but better than many lower cost places. If the cut of steak was a bit better, would have a new favorite spot for fajitas.“
“I ate here last night. They were obviously understaffed, but they did everything within their abilities to make stuff happen for a completely packed restaurant. It wasn't pretty, but it was commendable. Every patron could see what was going on, so I wanted to make sure any negative comment had a rebuttal. Good job staff. I applaud your effort.“
“Absolutely LOVE this place. I have followed Matys cooking for years. This is some of the best authentic Mexican food you can find here in the south. I highly recommend every single taco, torta and sope. Just writing this review is making me want to go there right now.Parking: Lots of open parking in front.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily handicapped accessible.“
“The food was great. The service was confusing. I was expecting the property to have the salad/sauce bar but that has been removed. I have no idea if your supposed to be sat as the sign said. In the past you stood at the counter and we all ordered there and paid then. The cooler is loved to the exit and now a hostess stands is there. I came in to order food and sit down and eat but I was given a pager as in the most but was for a to go order. I didn’t want a to go. Ever try to cut a burrito verse filled with pork in a styrofoam container and plastic silverware? I took silverware which you used to get from the bar. No bartender on duty and the whatever her turtle is at the front register, Samia, was pulled in too many directions. I was jut left confused and sort of lost. Unused to love this place the way it was. Change is sometimes a good thing but for me it didn’t help. Looks nice but just so disorganized tonight.“

“This is the best food truck I've ever been to. The owner is so nice and friendly. They have very reasonable prices. We got the beef pazole. It was so good. I've never had it before. We also got birria tacos, a shrimp taco, and a al pastor. Al pastor is my favorite when it has pineapples. It was so so so good. Had a good selection of jaritos and Mexican coke. They have a small inside eating are which I think is genius. Inside is the sauce bar. Thier hot sauces are hot so be careful. This place has 5 stars for a reason. Be sure to stop by.Parking: Not a lot of parking.“
