Great service, great food, great view, affordable and just a great find. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. We plan on making this place a definite stop when we're in the area. If a server passed your table, with a smile they asked how everything was and did you need anything. Best staff attitude I have seen in a long time. Cudos to the Staff and mgt. “Since I live in Ponce Inlet, I've been to Down the Hatch many times and have always found their seafood to be so fresh all the time. This time I had my sons visiting me from St. Louis, they wanted to eat at the best restaurant for seafood, and of course, we went right here and it didn't disappoint. They especially loved the shecrab soup with the sherry on the side. It was scrumptious. Their dinners were wonderful, as well as the desserts. Needless to say, we went home with plenty of leftovers. Steve, the server was great. All in all, it was a perfect night. So whether you live nearby or on vacation, make it a point to dine there.“

“Although it's a little drive, it's worth it! The atmosphere is lively and fun. All of the waitstaff seemed to be having a lot of fun with the customers, which made it very enjoyable. We sat at the bar, and our bartender/server, Annie, could not have been sweeter. She was very busy but had time to talk & joke with all of the customers. To top it off, the food is excellent! We had Oysters on the half shell which were very fresh and tasty. My only critique about them was that they weren't quite shucked all the way through. Our entree was Blackened Mahi with a 1/2 pound of Steamed Snow Crab Legs and a side of Hush Puppies. Everything was delicious and fresh. JB's will be our first stop next time we're in town.“

“Asian Sauce Box is my favorite Chinese restaurant in town and an I’m Chinese Jamaican! Yes it’s a little pricey, but the food is so good, it’s really worth it! No other Chinese restaurant in town even comes close in my honest opinion. In fact I just told a friend about it and both her husband and her will be going there for dinner sometime next week, I think, with us. She’s never been there, but she’s going with both my husband and I soon.“

“Overall good experience. My fiance and I picked this restaurant for our date night because of the reviews. Our server was great, she was attentive and stopped by our table an appropriate amount of times. We started with drinks , the mango martini was perfect, my drink not so much. I had a Malibu somerhing. We ordered the goat cheese platter as a starter and it was amazing. Probably my favorite part of the night. We picked simple dishes, the street tacos and the burger. I hate to say I was a little disappointed. The chicken street tacos had little seasoning , the burger seemed more like meat loaf than a nice burger. I still think this restaurant deserves a chance , maybe we will stop by again and try different dishes. Hope you have a great experience!“

“Loved it here for lunch as did our guests. Riverdeck did a great job on the renovations, clean, bright, tables on the deck ,not crowded in and with a beautiful river view all around. Interesting menu choices, lots of fun cocktails too. We had the pleasure of meeting BRAKUS (not sure of sp) on his first day there as a server. He was quite personable, fun, and entertaining! He will definitely be a great asset to the restaurant! The pesto shrimp flatbread and ahi tuna app were very good. My husband had a burger that had ham , cheese, onion rings, bacon stacked on it.. it was over 4 -5 in high.. difficult to eat but good. * I really dislike when ppl give ratings of 1 or 2 ‘based on an issue such as valet, or club colors ’. Not food/service. Doesn’t seem fair. I can see why they use valet, the parking lot has ruts that rainwater accumulates in, ppl would get wet getting in or out of their cars.“
