The atmosphere is great, and the frozen Piña Colada did not disappoint. The menu is a bit limited, so I just had the chips and salsa—not really what I was in the mood for food-wise—but I did enjoy browsing through the connected Tommy Bahama store and got some shopping done. “Amazing experience from start to finish. Chad provided great service—attentive, friendly, and on point. The food was outstanding: the 1 lb meatball was huge and flavorful, the chicken wings were perfectly cooked, the crispy jalapeño potatoes had the right kick, and the wedge burger was fresh, juicy, and delicious. Everything came out hot and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back!

“On June 16, we went to Kaluz Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale to celebrate my mother’s 85th birthday. We are regulars at Kaluz to the point where we have the cell phone numbers of several employees. In a nutshell, Anthony, the manager, should not hold that position in a restaurant like Kaluz. My husband and Anthony exchanged words and Anthony’s solution to the issue was telling us, “You should not come back here. The owners do not want parties larger than five people.” My jaw dropped. I could not believe that a manager’s solution to an issue about seating us sooner, while we waited for two other people in our party, especially since my 85-year-old mother could not stand for long, was to tell us, on two separate occasions, that we should not come back. Anthony also put the entire blame on the owners of the restaurant. We go to Kaluz almost on a weekly basis, tip extremely well and have taken countless people there that have also ended up being regulars at Kaluz. No restaurant manager should EVER tell a customer, regular or not, to not come back regardless of the issue. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Kaluz as long as Anthony continues working“

“I returned to J Alexander's after a hiatus due to an unfortunate experience for my dinner party. The service and food quality was well below my memories for this location.

Last evening we were greeted with a friendly host team, sat and our servicer greeted us moments later. Our server was Chanel, and she hit ALL points of service making our meal enjoyable and unrushed. The food quality was back to the standard I knew of this restaurant, and will definitely start recommending the location again, as I did in the past.

We were all full. The bread inspired by sour cream and onion chips was the best bread&butter I’ve ever had. The soup was my favorite course - it was different and insanely yummy. “This restaurant is exceptional! we went with our family after our civil ceremony and their service was beyond expectations. they made every effort to accommodate us as we found them very last minute and the weather turned rainy and windy suddenly. we wanted to sit outside, and they reserved the table without hesitation and then afterwards accommodated us inside when the rain started. They were so attentive, courteous, and made sure we were all taken care of. they had live music with an excellent singer who was talented and played with our kids and sang with them. the hostess Sally, was kind and sweet and very attentive!. Michael was a great server as well. ! all of them were great! the food was superb! great tasting with many options and excellent quality. thank you so much for making our night special. “I have been cruising for years and our group usually stays at the 4 point hotel. The place has totally upgraded its service. Very clean and nice bartender. Lisa was really nice and personable. She certainly knows how to make delicious specialty cocktails. We will definitely be back.“

“During our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, we had dinner at the Burlock Coast Restaurant located within the hotel. The food and service were spot on. There is both indoor and outdoor dining. We enjoyed some cocktails and shared a few appetizers, including the shrimp cocktail. After that, we took a lovely walk along the beach, which is right across from the restaurant.“

Our server, Matthew, truly elevated the evening. He was highly experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and gracious—standing out well above the rest of the team. We’ve dined here before with other servers, and none compare. Matthew offered just the right amount of banter, with excellent social awareness and a natural sense of when to engage and when to step back. If you dine here, request him—your experience will be noticeably elevated.
The craft cocktails were excellent, with a wide variety and very reasonable pricing for a Fort Lauderdale oceanfront location. The salad was outstanding, and dinner overall was very solid and well executed.

We originally planned to head out for breakfast each morning, but Rivas has such great service and quality breakfast and coffee that we ended up eating “in” at the hotel each morning.

The staff are kind, and very “everything is possible” in mindset. We appreciate their work, and we appreciate their speed of service. We would not be frequenting Rivas if they weren’t there providing VIP service.

Hot tip - ask for mimosas “to go” ahead of a pool walk. You deserve it.“

The food was amazing (we ordered the salmon and sea bass entrees), the ambiance was great both inside and outside on the patio, but most importantly the service was fantastic! Alejandro made the experience a 10/10. He checked in regularly, gave the best overview of the menu, and even chatted with the chef about making a mocktail that wasn’t on the menu. Will definitely come back and request him if we visit Fort Lauderdale again 🙂 he deserves a raise!!“
