“Although the Island View restaurant just recently reopened to customers, it has not fully opened its rooftop bar area but will be open very soon. That being said, the restaurant portion that is open is beyond comparison with its spectacular views and top notch service.
We ordered the chicken wings (jerk style) as an appetizer and the Fish and Chips and a Pepperoni Pizza.
Everything was very flavorful and made correctly.
The menu ranges from pizza to steamed oysters to various other options.
Our waitress, Karmen went out of her way to make our dining experience even more enjoyable with friendly chat and was very knowledgeable about any questions we had about the menu or any local information that we had questions about.
Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed our visit.
I would encourage anyone to visit the 6th floor of the Lani Kai and try the Island View restaurant. I can’t wait to return and see how they are doing when the other portion of the rooftop restaurant opens.

“Four of us ate at 41 Bistro in Estero this evening. We all got something different, they were willing to make changes to our liking and all four meals were very good. Julia was our server and she along with Bella the robot gave us great service. Ally the owner came to our table and said he can adjust menu items for allergies just let him know. “The food here last night was tremendous. I never imagined we could get this level of great cuisine in Fort Myers. The veal Milanese had the most tender veal I’ve ever had. And the Linguine Vongole would’ve been enough for the whole table. My wife felt like we were back dining in Italy and we can’t wait to go back. Don’t hesitate to try it. She communicated with me every step of the way and when it came to decorations and room preparation, I did not have to worry about a thing. I read the review about the vodka sauce and the recovering alcoholic. Why the f....k would you even consider ordering that dish in the first place??? You are playing games with yourself. Really, you cried at the table?? The owners are hard working people. There are erasers on pencils for a reason. Or maybe you don't know what an eraser is. “Our server was Alex which is the owners daughter in law. She was an amazing. She told us we needed try their meatballs we told her we are super picky on meatballs but she said she makes them every week. We tried them and they are were one of the best we have ever had. All the entrees we had were so good ... we would definitely be back. The start karaoke every night around 9 which was fun. If looking for authentic Italian with a great menu check this place out.“

“We are Sicilian decent wanted to try for my birthday. We ordered a Marguerita pie , eggplant parm, two seafood dishes and some soup. Staff was very nice and attentive. I liked that the food was not salty at all and you can add your own. My parents are hard to impress but my father loved it. He said “this is real pizza”. Set your expectations, this is not a brick oven pizzeria in Sicily. It’s a humble place in Florida , very clean and simple , reminds me of Nona’s food. Ohh the cannolis were 😚 yummy !! Crispy shell. I would go back just to have them !! You won’t be disappointed!!“

“Im a frequent flyer of DeRomos. I went to the market today for a few things and as usual I stopped at the dessert cases. I chose a slice of salted caramel cheesecake, which is one I hadn’t seen before. When I say never stop making this cheesecake I mean for the love of god never stop making this cheesecake! Hands down the best I have ever had in my life, no exaggeration! This needs to be a full time item on your menu including in the restaurant.“

Our waitress Rachael was too much fun, she was ready joke with us as much as we did with her. A big shout out to Arlene who also was extra special and a really cheerful helper. Tyler and his co-worker made sure all of the ladies had fresh bread and salad and accommodated all of our needs. Food came out fast and delicious. “Pizza is very good. Real close to NY pizza. We had the meatball appetizer and they were good and not great. I know great meatballs as I made tens of thousands of them when running an Italian place in the early 70's. The real key is to not make them so dense mainly by incorporating grated cheese and eggs as binder along with bread crumbs, fresh parsley, onions and garlic Also one trick that no other Italian place does is to get the finished meatballs into a pot of sauce to soften while absorbing the sauce. The garlic knots we received were a big disappointment and we will not order them again. They were not fluffy like the pizza crust and were tough to eat. The red sauce was ok but it is missing spices. I think maybe nutmeg, grated cheese,and Italian spices would add some flavor and bite. Overall though pleasant surprise and we will be returning. I am interested in getting their sausage with peppers and onions hoagie. Bravo.“

The food was very good…everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, and everything came out perfectly. What really made the evening stand out, though, was the service.
