“What a fun place. My hubby and I come here and the atmosphere is always fun and food is so good. We got our favorite: Brat, chips and pop. On the weekends they have musical entertainment. This time there was a lovely lady with a beautiful voice along with backup music. Our brats were perfect. They literally went pop on our mouths. It comes with their signature chili sauce, sauerkraut, onions and mustard. We just love this place. Here, conserve water; drink beer. “Loved everything about The Lodge. We went for lunch after walking through the shops nearby. I had the buffalo chicken salad and those were literally the best buffalo chicken strips I’ve ever tasted. “Buster’s was amazing! Alec was so friendly and efficient as our waiter. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was incredible! So incredible that I annoyed my husband the entire meal with expressing how delicious everything was. We got mozzarella sticks for the appetizer and they were the biggest I have ever seen. So good with the marinara. My cuban sandwich was made to perfection. The meats were tender and juicy, the roll was soft and even the mustard delighted my tastebuds. The side of coleslaw was so good, too! Usually I don’t like the coleslaw sides that restaurants make because it’s a side and an afterthought. Buster’s had to be homemade and created with care. The crinkle fries were cooked perfectly. The portions were huge. I was disappointed I couldn’t finish everything, but I have leftovers. I wish we would have tried this gem sooner! “We tried Shoeless Joe's because it was conveniently located near our hotel. Our first experience with the inside was quite interesting. My daughter and I thought it was strange that staff were eating at one of the high top tables while waiting on customers. We decided to overlook that. Another group came in and just wanted a beer outside under the covered deck away from the rain. The female wait staff said they could sit there but she wasn't going to serve them. A male brought them a pitcher anyway. We ordered and were told that we could not get the buffalo chicken sauce on the side and would have to order the grilled chicken fried and then get sauce on the side. We thought that was strange. However, we overheard the kitchen to just put in the order as we originally asked. We were becoming more and more skeptical at this point. We were pleasantly surprised with our buffalo chicken sandwiches, fries and onion rings. We would order that again. We went back for happy hour on the deck and had a completely different experience. The bartender was attentive and so nice even though there were quite a few tables taken. We ordered nachos and drinks. She suggested the half order. She didn't want any us to pay for what we wouldn't eat. So thoughtful! She was right and they were huge and delicious. The toppings were plentiful and layered throughout. Love that! I would definitely go back especially to sit outside for happy hour.“
