“Come for the oysters stay for the swordfish BLT. We had a dozen East Coast oysters and four West Coast, absolutely outstanding. Additionally they have a bottomless Mimosa, and the swordfish BLT was large enough for my husband and I to share, knowing we were going to order the homemade donuts for dessert. This place is a must visit. Everything was so delicious!!!!“

“We recently dined at Ella Mai’s Diner in downtown Fort Myers inside the Luminary Hotel and had a mostly positive experience. I ordered the grilled cheese with tater tots—the sandwich had great flavor, but the generous amount of cheese made it a bit soggy. The tater tots, however, were crispy and delicious.

My friend went with the BLT and a side of broccoli, and she absolutely loved it, calling the sandwich one of the best she’s had. The broccoli was fresh and crisp, which was a nice touch.

The atmosphere was cozy, and our server was friendly, but the hostess felt a bit cold and unwelcoming, which didn’t make for the best first impression. That said, the prices were reasonable, especially considering the restaurant is inside the Luminary Hotel, a stunning location with beautiful views of the Caloosahatchee River.

Despite the minor issues, I’d definitely return to try more from the menu!“

“I have tried many Ft. Myers Pizza Shops and have not found one that makes a pizza close to New York Style Pizza. Today I was in the McGeegor Pizza & Deli area and thought I would try it. Surprisingly the pizza was amazing, the crust was well done, the sauce was tasty and the mozzarella was enough to make the pizza tasty and delicious. “We have been coming to the Orange Peppers restaurant for over ten years +. The food is amazing! We love their curries, soups, and appetizers. You can pick just about anything on the menu and there is something for everyone. The staff is kind and helpful. We always leave feeling satisfied. A great place to sit and talk over a full course meal.“

“The entire bar staff were amazing but there was one rockstar that I want to called out and her name is Evelyn. Evelyn was always attentive and friendly to all of the tables located both in the inside bar and outside seating area. She always made sure that everyone was taken care of and always had a smile on her face. I would highly recommend asking for Evelyn if you go there to eat.“

“Visited from southern Delaware over Thanksgiving. Wasn't sure where to eat Thanksgiving dinner, so Googled and Mel's Diner was serving it. Called to make a reservation, but they were booked. Was told they were accepting walk-ins, call on our way and they'd put us on the list. Was able to get seated right away, party of 2! I had the turkey dinner and my beau had ham dinner... delicious, just like home. Our server (Cody?) was lovely and the owner took the time to check on us. It's no wonder Mel's has great reviews. “Went to this little gem twice in two days. After having the most delicious pumpkin ravioli and side salad. Other diners enjoyed soups, salads, mahi tacos, truffle fries and Mediterranean wrap. Everyone encountered here was friendly and helpful with guiding us with our orders. They have a decent beer and wine selection for a small place (if that’s a priority) to accompany your meal. We will definitely put this on our must visit list each trip to the Ft Myers area.“

“I can't say enough great things about Mellow Mushroom! This is the best pizza in town! Whenever I go I always start with the pretzel bites! So yummy and addicting. Then depending on what I am in the mood for I get a salad or a pizza. The salads are all delicious but my favorite is the Greek or bacon Blue Wedge. If I do pizza I get either the Buffalo Chicken or Pacific Rim. I love the thick crust and basically all of them. Then if there is room, for dessert, the chocolate brownie or cookie with ice cream! 😋 oh and they have vegan and gluten free items! Can't go wrong here! “Mixed feelings. The food and service were great as usual. We went as a family of 8, did the 45m to 1 hour wait and was seated in N/W corner. The problem was that for the hour before seating and after being seated no one from the restaurant mentioned to us that the A/C was not working! Our server confirmed and even told us to use the menu insert as a fan. Needless to say we felt deceived and made it a night to remember, for the wrong reason.“

“We recently visited here and dinner was amazing. We started with a great mocktail and French onion soup, was delicious! The egg rolls were so tasty, should be a dinner itself! I had the spicy chicken sandwhich omg amazing. No words. Tender juicy chicken and hubby had the smash burger. Another great meal. You can tell the quality of the food was the best! The atmosphere was fun and the staff were very polite and attentive! I would definitely recommend 10 Twenty for your dinner plans!“

“I was here visiting family and had never heard of Blaze Pizza. I saw on Google that Blaze has a decent rating and the restaurant was close to where we were hanging out, so I decided to place a pickup order online. I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage, a large pepperoni and double cheese, a small gluten free mushroom, and cheese bread.

The restaurant seemed clean. My order was as ready when it was supposed to be. The staff was welcoming. When I got back to my family all of the food was still hot. The flavors were good (I tried all four items that I bought).

Upon looking at my receipt I noticed that I’d been charge a 15% tip which I didn’t know about and certainly didn’t authorize. I tip very well for good service when I dine in, and I am generous with delivery drivers, but I generally don’t tip if I’m picking up my order. I was shocked that a 15% tip would be added to an online order without the consent of the customer. At no point in the online ordering process was the addition of a tip noted.

I called the store for more than 20 minutes but no one answered. I made a complaint online.

The next day I received both an email and a phone call from a manager. They seemed to sincerely want to know what had gone wrong on their end. They were apologetic and compensated for their mistake.

Blaze Pizza certainly needs to address a couple of issues. First, no more automatically charging online customers a 15% tip that they did not initiate. Second, answer your phone.

BUT, I was impressed with their follow up. They won me back with their customer service. I’ll give them another try.“
