“Nestled in the heart of Key West, hidden from the tourist-heavy streets, is a spot the locals know as a treasure: Glazed Donuts. But this isn’t your typical donut shop. Glazed is a *donut bakery*, and once you grasp the difference, you’ll never settle for just any donut again. Here, the dough is crafted like a masterpiece, and the flavors aren’t just tasted—they’re experienced.
But let’s talk about one particular standout creation: the key lime donut. This isn’t just another Key West homage to the famed key lime pie—this is a revelation. Imagine the tart, bright burst of real key lime, perfectly balanced against a soft, fluffy donut. The glaze is light but tangy, offering just enough sweetness to cut through the citrus while still allowing that signature zing of key lime to shine. It’s like biting into a bite-sized piece of Key West sunshine.
You know that perfect moment when a key lime pie hits that magical balance of creamy tartness and sugary sweetness? Now, imagine that distilled into the ideal donut. With each bite, the soft dough gives way to an explosion of flavor that captures the tropical essence of Key West. It’s refreshing, indulgent, and completely unexpected—transforming the simple donut into an unforgettable taste experience.
If you’re in Key West, trying the key lime donut from Glazed Donuts is a must. Sure, key lime pie is a staple of the island, but this donut could easily rival even the best slice of pie you’ve ever had. In fact, if you were to rank the greatest key lime creations on the island, this donut would be second only to the legendary key lime pie at Old Town Bakery. It’s that good. One bite and you’ll realize that this donut isn’t just a tribute to Key West’s iconic flavor—it’s a new way to savor it.
PSA: At Glazed Donuts, don’t even think about ordering a dozen. That’s not how this works. You’ll grab one, maybe two if you’re feeling adventurous, and then guess what? You’ll be back tomorrow… and the day after that. This isn’t just a donut shop—it’s a donut commitment. Proceed with caution; you might just end up planning your entire week around these donuts!“

I recently visited Sunny Eggs in Key West, and it has quickly become my new favorite spot! The location is simply amazing, providing a perfect backdrop for a delightful evening. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, enhanced by fantastic live music that makes you want to stay and soak it all in.
Now, let’s talk about the food – it’s absolutely delicious! Each dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The menu offers a great variety, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Overall, Sunny Eggs is a must-visit for anyone in Key West. Between the ambiance, the music, and the incredible food, it’s an experience you won't want to miss. I can’t wait to go back!

“We just stopped by for lunch. We ordered the stuffed grape leaves app, a falafel wrap and a Greek salad with chicken. Food was so fresh, and the finishing touches like dried herbs sprinkled on the grape leaves just made it next level. The Tzatziki was out of this world good 🤯. I prefer that over humus so was able to sub that in my wrap. We went in hungry and left stuffed. The place is tiny and so cute with three tables - blue and white tile and decor. Off the beaten path and sooooo worth it. We visit KW a lot and this will definitely be in heavy rotation.“

“This place was fantastic. I met the owner(s?), they were so warm and friendly. They went above and beyond with their service and knowledge. I fell in love when the gal told me she made all the treats herself and all their packaging was biodegradable. The coffee was phenomenal, like nothing I’ve ever had before. I wish I lived close enough to have it regularly“

“We stayed down the block at a AirBnB so naturally got coffee and breakfast our first morning. It was so delicious we ate breakfast there every morning except for one (we had to leave for the ferry before they opened, so we ate dinner there that night!) All the food was amazing! Well seasoned, fresh, flavorful, and portions were huge! The coffee was perfect, I really loved the cortadito and milk espreso. The staff was friendly and offered recommendations if needed.“

“I was here in June 2022 - very nice place. Away from the busy areas, a good place to relax. The bogo wine happy hour was great. My sis & I paired a nice white with a shared slice of Key lime pie. And the pie was fantastic - maybe even better than Kermit's! I would def suggest checking this spot out if you have a chance, it's worth it. And there's no wifi - this place is meant to relax & talk with friends. Enoy it!“

“Outstanding Cuban food. We took an Uber over from Duval street to try out the food here because it was recommended. Just a heads up that this is mainly a take-out place with one or two picnic tables outside. We weren’t prepared for that so we ate outside on the picnic tables in the pouring rain but the delicious food made up for it. The empanadas, Cuban sandwich, and croquetas were all amazing!“
