“We got the shark bite ice cream with key west mini donuts. It was so cool, she made everything right infront of us. The donuts came out hot and fresh, with tons of toppings on top. The soft serve ice cream was actually really good, the perfect treat for a hot day in key west.“
“This place is a hidden gem! Don’t judge the food by the overall appearance of the establishment. The shop itself could use some TLC but the ice cream and sorbet are amazing! And to top it off, the little old gentleman and lady work their tails off making the treats and waiting on customers. Don’t miss this place on your visit to Key West!Kid-friendliness: Lots of flavors to satisfy kids and adults.“
“How about to yums up on Mattheessen's! These cookies are soooo good. I got the snickerdoodle cookie and a chocolate milkshake. Both were amazing and I had to go back today. Slightly expensive but very good. Great service too! When in doubt, check it out!“
“We ate 2 scoops of ice cream here and found it to be very tasty. The balls are huge and taste simply great. 2 scoops in a waffle bowl cost about $11 including tax. It doesn't sound particularly cheap at first, but there's so much ice cream that it's enough for 2 people (Europeans ;-) ).We had cookie dough and chocolate/peanut butter *yammmmmi*“
“We grabbed a quick bite here with my family while strolling around town with our toddler and the food was delicious! My husband had a grilled cheese and I had a turkey club sandwich. Our toddler had a 1/2 breakfast sandwich with ham. Everything was a success! The ingredients were fresh and the portions were great. Not small, not humongous, just right. We followed with vanilla and chocolate ice cream which was absolutely perfect. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved it!“
“This DQ has a long list of loyal, long time Customers who had Ice Cream delights here as children, who are sharing it with their own today!I think I can safely say that Our Key West Dairy Queen is consistently staffed with a friendly and happy Team who maintain that "DQ" quality experience we have grown to love. (My only regret is I am unable to get a Hunger Buster Basket... ).Get a nice cold Blizzard today!“
“Stopped in for dessert after an amazing dinner at the Hurricane Hole. We were greeted immediately and received quick, friendly service. My daughter got hochata ice cream and cuban coffee ice cream for myself. Yuuuuuuuuuhum. Coffee is a difficult flavor. Most of the time, it tastes burnt. We will be visiting every chance we get before our vacation expires. We saw passion fruit popsicle after we ordered. Definitely getting that next.“
“A small group of us came Tuesday night 30+ minutes before closing time. I had a vegetarian pizza slice, which tasted great! The long gray haired order taker/cashier was grouchy for some reason. Hopefully he will be in a better mood if we ever return.“
“Fun little shop tucked right on a corner with lots of street parking for easy access! The shop is relatively small, but there is some outdoor seating and the bright colors make it very inviting. They probably have 20-25 different flavors to choose from and today I tried the Amaretto and the English Custard. The chocolate was out-of-this-world good (and rich!) and the English Custard was really nice and creamy and tasted a bit like horchata to me (which definitely isn't a problem)! The man working behind the counter was patient as we tried a couple samples in advance, and was quick and efficient and filling out order. Gem of a place that I would definitely come back to!“
“This was a nice joint "pretty close" to the waterfront. We stumbled upon it and found it to be quite nice. Food was higher than we thought it should be but after presentation it was amazing. Totally recommend this place if you're looking for something a bit more upscale.“
“We stopped by this must visit place. I can definitely say it’s popular. Key lime pie was fresh and we got a quick service. However it’s not our piece of cake, sorry. But you should definitely try at least once. Not enough of seating for the amount of people visiting.“
“We've been going for years at the brick and mortar and this year at Truman Park with the food truck. My kids LOVE tropical vibes and is there first stop when we arrive in Key West even after a long 24hr drive to get there! Always get Tiger's Blood, also tried gummy bear this year and it was delish! Go get your delicious ice!!! Follow them on FB for locations they will be at!“
“Cakes by Karol is amazing and worth every penny. We had our wedding back in November and Karol made the cake process extremely stress free. The cake was phenomenal and tasted just perfect. Even during the cake tasting she made some suggestions after our initial choice and we’re glad we listened to her. She is a true professional and artist. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her as your next choice for a wedding cake!!! Don’t go anywhere else. She is the one!“
“This place was open early! Early bird gets the worm! Yes the guy that owns runs is not Mr giggles but if your looking for clean fresh food this place was better than the rest! The best ice cold fresh coconut I had withan amazing homemade banana bread. Very “
“Our go to dessert spot, when we are in Key West. I am a wafer cone guy-except here I do the coconut chocolate cone. Great choices for ice cream flavors. The staff are polite and work late and on Christmas night even!. You can enjoy it sitting on the bench or wandering the pier, point is you will enjoy. Thank you from Vt. see you in May“
“Made a day trip from Islamorada to Key West and would make the drive again just to visit Wicked Lick! Hands down exceptional ice cream, unique flavors, and loved the ice cream nachos. Great friendly service too. This has to be the best ice cream in Key West. Highly recommend.“
“We wanted Key Lime Pie in Key West, and I read some posting that mentioned Mattheessen's. When I walked into the store, I almost forgot about the pie as I saw the cookies, fudge, and ice cream! The Key Lime Pie at Mattheessen's is deelish (despite the difficulty I'm having typing out the store's name...lol). It is not too tart and goes well with whipped cream (ALWAYS say yes to whipped cream). If you are Jonesing for Key Lime Pie, go to Mattheessen's!“
