“MUST EAT HERE!!! I'm a diehard fan of Carrabba's but after coming back from Rome, I wanted to try something different and go to a local family Italian restaurant. It's crazy when you don't realize what's in your neighborhood. Please overlook the surrounding area and how it's connected to a run down hotel and just enjoy the inside atmosphere and the quality food. Why wasn't this place packed on a Friday night? Maybe because of the location but it's worth traveling and steering away from your normal chain of restaurants.The fresh garlic loaf they brought out to the table that was soaked in olive oil and fresh herbs was spot on.Appetizers: Bruschetta (bread had a wonderful crisp with fresh tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette) and Fried Mozzarella Cheese (x2 nice size triangle shaped, but would've enjoyed x3 or x4 for the price).Main Course: Gnocchi di Carlo (the wife actually said this was comparable but had many different flavors that jumped at you then Rome had), Veal Parmigiana w/Fettuccini Alfredo (huge portion size with awesome flavor and fried just right. Needed a little more sauce. Fettuccini tasted fresh and flavorful).Dessert: Homemade Cannoli (you can tell this was not frozen or refrigerated but was actually homemade. Awesome)As far as other comments that stated there prices increased or was outrageous, ignore that. “There should be a line out the door for this place! Food is excellent!! We LOVED the pizza (plain and pepperoni)- some of the best we’ve had and we eat pizza in NJ and NY. We also loved the garlic knots, light and slightly crispy on the outside, not too doughy- perfection! Sauce was delicious. We went back for the pasta and were not disappointed. The fruitti de mare was to die for! Seafood super fresh, pasta homemade delicious, sauce amazing!! Lobster ravioli were yummy too. The bruschetta was made with the same very fresh ingredients and tasted so good. We ate here 3 times in the 5 days we were in FL! We will miss it when we leave. It seems they have quite a few locations across the U.S. From now on, whenever I visit a big city in US, I 'll plan to eat UNO.In Chicago, I heard from locals that you have to try Chicago-style deep-dish pizza! So, that's what I ordered. I can't forget its thickness, the abundance of cheese. it was delicious.This time, I wanted to eat it in the hotel's courtyard gazebo, so I takeout pizza. I tried the Numero UNO deep-dish pizza. It was very delicious, but perhaps because it wasn't eaton in the restaurant or wasn't piping hot, it felt like there was less cheese. Restrooms were clean and well stocked.The host was pleasant and gave us the option of dining inside/out... We chose outside and enjoyed watching the Broadway Street buses and traffic.Enjoyed our Cauliflower Pizza Crust with Philly Steak/Cheese Topping, regular crust pizza with all meat topping and a huge Caesar Salad with grated parm cheese and croutons. In addition to many types of savory and even sweet pizza, there was also soup, a salad buffet and pasta, but only with a (vegetarian tomato) sauce.Unfortunately, most of the pizzas were not labeled or had the wrong labels, so almost every piece was a surprise. But every piece was super fresh and delicious. Only one type was too spicy for me (unfortunately it wasn't labeled, otherwise I wouldn't have taken it).The atmosphere was anything but cozy and almost resembled a train station restaurant.
