“So glad we found this gem! Fun picnic basket lunch! Food was delicious! Helpful staff. We sat out on the deck, near the water. But the inside is beautiful also. The owner gave my kids food to feed the fish. We saw a small alligator too. We got there about an hour before they closed, so only a few other people there. I'm sure it can get very busy at peak times. On site garden shop and antique shop, but we didn't have time to check those out. Would love to go back some day to spend more time.“

“One of our family favorites in Polk City! The food is amazing for both breakfast and lunch. The price is worth it, you get a pile of their yummy homemade food! They keep it clean inside and out!! “The food was really outstanding. Unexpected for a small town in FL. The atmosphere is simple and pleasant. We started with the deviled eggs that had (cayenne I think) a smooth fill and a fragile greens salad as an accompaniment that made them very tasty. The pickled beet salad wasn't too pickled which brought out the natural flavor. My husband had a thick cut pork chop, prepared perfectly and topped with a traditional chimichurri (not easy to find outside or Miami). A sweet potato purée was an improvement vs. the usual apple flavors. Husband said I had to mention how good it was. I had a chicken piccata special on top of parmesan orzo. There was a little lemon or tang in the sauce. Not a grain remained. Staff was beyond accommodating and knowledgeable, they shared the brunch menu and we're already trying to determine dates when we can make the hour drive to revisit.“

It was sweet and refreshing on a warm day! I would highly recommend stopping by and eating here. All the food is made from scratch and the sauces are also all made from scratch. “What a pleasant surprise! We have eaten at Denny’s twice for the first time in a few years. The first was in a location I won’t mention but it was disappointing. The restaurant was dirty and outdated. The food wasn’t horrible but not great either. Tonight was different. The Denny’s in Winter Haven was great! Donna greeted us as we came in the door and provided the best service. The food was great, everything was nice and clean, and Donna is the perfect example of excellent customer service. We love having breakfast at night from time to time and we have a new favorite place for that! We hope to see Donna again as well!“

Even homemade ice cream, and I'm pretty sure their Tater Tots are homemade as well.Their tots are super crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside and great flavor. No ketchup is needed for these tots.Burgers are very loaded and delicious. I got the Cowboy burger, and it was great. The onion rings on it had such audible crunch my partner heard it across the table. Nice and thick but crispy bacon and great sauce.We wanted to try a banana split but were too full. The food was a great variety - since we had 7 people, we ordered one of each platter and adults and kids were both happy with the selection.
