“Love coming here for cheap beer and a little fun! My boyfriend and I were recommended to come to this place for the longest time. Yesterday we finally gave it a shot. We parked in their large parking lot and walked right in. It doesn't look like much from the front, but when you enter, there's a lot going in. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall sports bar. Different games were playing in the TVs and the decor is very authentic. It will remind you of your Uncle's house who used to play professional sports back in the day. Our bartender, Rachel was very attentive and made sure our beers were never empty. They also have an ATM machine to pull out money to play billiards and darts. The foot traffic was crazy and it got pretty crowded when we were about to leave. It's definitely a hangout spot for the locals and they are very welcoming to new comers!“

“Today Apr 25th, we dined in and Shane was our server. We always luck out having Shane serve our table. He’s a Pro all the way. This location was remodeled a few years ago and is super nice. “Had an amazing first time at Maya cafè! Took my mom for a birthday lunch for our first times & everything was incredible!! The space is beautiful with lots of art to look at. The menu is wonderful & everything was fresh. I ordered the Steak tacos & they were fabulous! Make sure to ask for a side of the cilantro dip, it was my favorite! & the corn dip ???? the owner gave my mom a slice of key lime pie & it was easily the best key lime pie i’ve ever had! We both had Caesar Salads which were delicious with seasoned Bread Crumbs instead of Croutons. I had extra anchovies added and they were wonderful.My friend had the Flatiron Steak Frites and I had the Texas Redfish with Black Lentils. “Had been a while, maybe a couple of years, since I'd been, but I definitely won't make that mistake again. Every single thing ordered was on point. Sleepy little gem in Sanford serving elevated takes on Southern favorites. Came for a late dinner (9 p.m.) and ordered our way through small plates tapas style. Every single thing was lovingly and expertly prepared. One incredible standout was the Tomato Mac. When it was brought to the table, I thought it looked like it would be a little bland and watery, but OMG, the flavors and texture in this dish were incredible - a sweet and savory delight. Another standout was the chicken liver mousse. Chef's kiss! Also worked our way through hoecakes and the sticky ribs - the meat of which just fell off the bone. They were expertly trimmed and the Asian inspired glaze was to die for. Also sampled the cheddar jalapeno biscuits and the mushroom angolotti - all delicious. For dessert (all made in house), the cornmeal pie was to die for. Also had the smoked salted caramel ice cream, which was quite unique and inventive, as were the biscuits and chocolate "gravy."Even though the staff and kitchen were surely ready to wind down close to closing, we received excellent and gracious service and everything continued to be executed with great care and skill.I will definitely be sure to visit much more often! We were seated promptly upon arrival at (2) different tables (one for the girls, one for the Moms- as we requested). The service was excellent and the food was even better! I don’t typically order burgers, but I ordered the Smokehouse burger and TBH, I am wishing I could have another one tonight! Everything was absolutely delicious….everyone LOVED their meals. “SBC is our go-to stop for lunch and a growler refill when we fly into Sanford; we've come to expect really good food and service which is what keeps us coming back. Our most recent stop was on Thursday and our server was Chris. The bar has been set high in the past, but Chris was exceptional. He chatted a little, checked in with us regularly, and was always working. Without exception, just when we would think we were ready for something, he was magically right there on the spot. Very impressive and worth noting. We had the pretzel bites and grilled mahi sandwich. Food was really good as usual, but the service was especially worthy of a shoutout.“

“The Old Jail House is a has great food and great armosphere in downtown Sanford. The menu is small, but the flavor and execution of the dishes is on point. Also, had a old fashioned cocktail that exceeded my expectations. The way the incorporate tge jail theme throught the restaurants is brilliant. Reserve a table days in advance on the weekends or you may not be able to visit this gem.Parking: The City has a free parking lot a block from the spot but its gets pretty congested during the weekends. The on-street parking is free but difficult to come by at peak hours.“
