26 Best Japanese Restaurants near Land O Lakes

“We wanted to try a new Japanese Restaurant and decided to start here. The area was very clean and welcoming. The hostess greeted and sat us. The booth where we sat was very cozy and private. Our drink order was taken, then we ordered appetizers. We had edamame and spring rolls. Both were very good! Then we ordered 3 different sashimi’s and maguro. The waitress was very kind and attentive. We loved it and will be back!“

“great food great service we will return with an appetite“

“My server was amazing! She was so attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. The sushi was also really good! Possibly my new favorite roll! Good food and great service made the experience well worth it and I'll likely become a regular.“

“Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Tampa! The Dale Mabry roll and yummy roll were amazing! Highly recommend, I’ll be back! Camille was the best!“

“Tried Umu recently and it absolutely delivered. The Smokey Dragon roll was layered, flavorful, and perfectly balanced from the first bite to the last. The Rising Sun surprised me with how clean and bright it tasted while still bringing a satisfying kick. Fresh fish, thoughtful combinations, and a menu that feels curated rather than crowded. Umu is the kind of spot you remember and come back to. Definitely worth a visit in Wesley Chapel.“

“If I could give them a zero I would. My friend went there today and she was refused service because she has a skin disease called psoriasis. Shame on you all. You need to get educated the disease is not contagious I hope you and your ignorant staff learn some manners.“

“Everything was good i especially loved the rice🗣️‼️ our chef Tadashi was hilarious and next time I come back to Tampa with the family we’re definitely coming back and I WANT TADASHI🗣️‼️🔪👨🏽‍🍳🍽️💪🏽🔥😁🏝️#Tampa“

“Great food! We've been looking for a local Chinese restaurant and Rice N Roll did not disappoint! Many gluten free items offered as well.“

“Food was fantastic! Fresh quality ingredients. Also a lot of food for the price. I could only eat half of it. Teas were also amazing! My kids loved the tea slushes. My picky eater even enjoyed the kids chicken hibachi. That's saying a lot. When we went in to pick up the food they were very friendly and more than willing to answer all my questions. Golden Inn used to be our favorite place and finally decided to give Ayoki a try. So glad we did because now we have a new favorite place!“

“Good service and great food.“

“I've been coming here weekly since Krate opened back in 2022. The fried rice bowls are exceptional and the portion sizes are always very filling. Enough to reheat for a second meal and be full both times. The yum yum sauce is the best I've had from any local restaurant and makes the rice delicious!

The ramen is also quite good. They make sure to load you up with toppings and your protein of choice. The broth is salty but filling and really soaks the flavor into the noodles rather than sliding right off like other locations. However I will note that the egg is standard boiled.

But what makes this place shine above the rest is the owner. He is incredibly friendly and really grows to know his customers. He often hands me something extra when I come late in the evening and I truly feel like a cherished regular. I'll continue coming to this place routinely and couldn't recommend it more!“

“A wonderful menu of Japanese fusion and classic dishes. Great sushi and sashimi!“

“Excellent food and service. Highly recommend this location.“

“We got seated and chef thought it was funny to bark like a dog while chopping up the meat. I was so discussed. I have been to Asia and saw the dogs hanging in the market it was awful and I have 3 Chinese children. I spoke to Manager who seemed to blow me off like eating dog is normal. Do you serve dog? Hope not remember this is American. My family left I could not eat after that and it’s not funny to pretend to be chopping up a dog.“

“Always a pleasure having dinner @ E Sushi, they have the best food in town! Love the owner and atmosphere!“

“Arrived at 9 pm.. fast service.. friendly and accommodating… delicious King”s roll and “ out of control roll “ washed down with Saki made for an excellent night!!;-)“

“We had a large group luncheon and all of our food was served timely and fresh! Great service and sushi!e“

“Eat the swishy fishy, it is good for you and will make your tummy happy😋“

“I ordered the party tray and had a hiccup with the actual order when I opened it at home, when I called to see if this could be fixed I thought they would be dismissive but honestly they were so nice, the girl at the front was very sweet and understanding and they didn’t give me any problem at all. That was really really great customer service. Thank you! The food was great!“

“Customer Service A+ Great Food Price 👌🏼“

“We went an hour before close during the week and had the place to ourselves. The atmosphere was very relaxed and perfect for a date. The food was quick and absolutely delicious, one of the best places we tried. The staff was really sweet and quick to refill our water cups without being overbearing.“

“Just ordered from there last night and won’t be the last time. The poke bowl was fresh and delicious.“

“Way better than your average hibachi spot!

At first glance, Hibachi Express might look like your typical fast-casual hibachi chain, but the quality really stands out. The chicken is fresh — none of that weird aftertaste you sometimes get elsewhere — and the veggies are cooked perfectly: crispy, juicy, and not soggy at all. The fried rice has a great texture too.

They’re also generous with portions and sauces, which I really appreciate. It feels like you’re actually getting your money’s worth.

It’s become my go-to quick meal lately — honestly, sometimes it ends up cheaper (and definitely easier) than cooking at home! So glad to have discovered this spot.“

“it has great food, nice friendly staff great service“

“Great tasting food, great service, great prices, great ambiance..we were a party of eight and we all had a great time. Our server was wonderful and was the chef who presided over the hibachi grill. He was an artiste and very entertaining. We will be back.“
