“Very nice service staff, very efficient service. Authentic - and excellent - Mexican food. On Wednesday's they have a Mariachi band. Very talented. Traditional Mariachi style music and more modern songs. In fact, their version of Hotel California tonight may have been the best version I ever heard. A nice night out within walking distance to our home.“

“OMG, this place is amazing! Rob, the owner, was AWESOME having me try a bunch of stuff for my 1st time visit. He first had me dabble in some freshly made plum sauce which he said was on the Duck Taco. By far, the BEST taco I've EVER had. While I couldn't finish it all, I also had the Birria (with actual Lamb!), the Grouper taco & the Pork Belly taco. I'm REALLY picky when it comes to Fish Tacos often judging against some of the best I've ever had, living in CA. If this wasn't the best I've ever had, it was for sure 2nd best! Perfectly cooked Grouper! The other two, also amazing. Consommé... amazing! He also had some crazy black garlic sauce which I could drink! Go give this local gem some business!!! There's been alot of turnover in that location and we CANNOT lose this place. You can taste Rob's clear passion & love of his creations in every bite! Glad I only live a mile away...“

“I went to this restaurant on Tuesday evening.The line was extremely long, however I was surprised ? to place my order in less than 20 minutes of waiting. Quite surprising!! I ordered a Big Bowl. It was fresh and delicious ?! I was sincerely greeted by the friendly staff, and despite how many customers were waiting, the employees ? had a smile on their face! “We went to Island House Taqueria last winter while in Florida and couldn’t wait to return this year. We went there this week on Taco Tuesday. Problem was the tacos were full price not half price as advertised on their web site and the tortillas weren’t made out of the blue corn that was so good last year. I will say that they were loaded with meat but just not what we had last year. Sorry to say we probably won’t be back.“

“We tried this place we find on yelp and had great reviews. First it is very cute inside and you are welcome right as you walk inside . I wanted to try pupusas and sopes that I have never tried before . I got a steak sope and it was just delicious , so were the pupusas . The food is excellent! The service is great ! “5 starts BUT READ!To be honest the food is amazing, fresh and you can tell it is made with love, BUT portions are not like in the pictures, they serve pretty small portions for mexican food and special for this kind of places, we had to come back and buy some tacos in another little places, they came with a lot of protein and they were just 1$ each, in Mexi-Peru they were 3$ each with just a little bit of carne asada on it. It is fresh and you can see that they cook with love, BUT the portions for Mexican food and this type of place that is like a fair, were very small, they are not like the photos! “Food was amazing! Service 9/10. Arrived shortly before closing. We were hesitant to order because the first thing the greeter did was stare at his watch. He then said the kitchen closes in 10 minutes, before seating us. We ordered right away. The food was prepared promptly and service from there was good. “Los Laureles is a gem for those who love authentic Mexican food. It has become my go-to carniceria for many reasons. The meat dept. has the best homemade chorizo in the area and the seasoned carne picada makes for a great steak taco or burrito. They have homemade tortillas available and fresh baked torta buns (Bolillos). All the dried Chiles and produce you need to make all the best Mexican dishes at home are here. They have a Mexican restaurant inside, you can dine in or carry out, normally when we have a taco party at home I pick up their refried beans, rice and their homemade hot sauces (red and green) all of which are phenomenal. They also have a taco cart most days outside serving up tacos to the neighborhood. If you are used to authentic Mexican food to take home, eat in or just to get the best ingredients to host your own (pro) taco party you need to come to Los Laureles.“
