“One of my favorite breakfast spots in Longboat Key is Harry’s Continental Kitchen. The servers are so friendly, and the ambiance is always inviting. It's a nice touch when you see the owner greeting guests. The food is amazing; whenever we visit Longboat Key, this place is our go-to for breakfast. Plus, they have a gluten-free option, which is a big plus.Dietary restrictions: “They offer gluten-free bread as an option for those with gluten allergies”.“
“I wanted to be able to give a higher rating as the food, the location and overall vibe here is amazing. An art deco culinary experience in one of the most serene settings in Florida. However, the service staff, in particular our server was beyond terrible. A foul attitude and no professional server skills whatsoever. From the fact that she never asked my wife and I if we wanted another drink, to not giving us a kids menu even though we came with our 18 month old.The restaurant has a beautiful waterfront walkway and so my wife and I went to take pictures. Instead of understanding that this is common for guests to do, our server thought we were leaving entirely and chased us down. Why don’t toy worry if we have enough to drink or are ordering dessert instead of thinking we were just leaving. To the management, you need to address a cancer to your business with servers like this. Just terrible and if we’re do go back I worked refuse to be served by this amateur with a terrible attitude and no ability to understand what professional hospitality means.“
“We recently visited Lazy Lobster in Longboat Key, Florida, with a group of friends. It was my first time there, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Unfortunately, the staff didn't seem as friendly as I've experienced in other places. Additionally, our food took quite a while to be ready. However, despite these initial setbacks, the food was truly outstanding, and the drinks were equally impressive. The unexpected quality of the food definitely made up for any shortcomings in service. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors, especially considering the restaurant's unassuming appearance. I was also pleased to find that they offer gluten-free options, which is always a plus. Compared to other restaurants in Longboat Key, Lazy Lobster is reasonably priced. Overall, I would recommend giving it a try, especially if you're a seafood lover looking for a tasty meal at a decent price.Dietary restrictions: “They offer gluten-free option just ask the server”.“
“Maison Blanche in Longboat Key, Florida, is truly one of the nicest and most elegant dining experiences I've had. Despite its elegance, the restaurant has an inviting atmosphere. The food is simply amazing, with each dish offering a complex and delightful taste. One thing I particularly love about this place is their practice of offering samples of soup or small desserts, allowing you to savor the flavors before committing to a full serving. We celebrated my father-in-law's birthday at Maison Blanche and were pleasantly surprised to find out that the chef's wife, who is also the owner, was celebrating her birthday too. She is incredibly nice, very approachable, and always has a warm smile.Overall, Maison Blanche is a hidden gem, perfect for a lovely formal dinner with a few close people. I would highly recommend calling ahead for reservations to ensure a wonderful dining experience.Dietary restrictions: Maison Blanche in Longboat Key, Florida, offers gluten-free options and can accommodate dietary restrictions by making some of their dishes gluten-free. When you call ahead for a reservation, they inquire about allergies, showing their preparedness to cater to various dietary needs.“
“Excellent dinner last night at Mar Vista. Sitting under the trees by the bay can’t be beat. You must try the gourmet tator tots to start. We had shrimp and grits and their fresh catch risotto. The seafood was cooked perfectly with great flavors on both. Our server, Hannah, was great!“
“We went in early December on a weeknight, we made a reservation, it turned out. It wasn’t really that busy, about half full perhaps. We were seated immediately at an intimate table near the window in the far room room. Very quaint dining room. Formal. Our waiter was very attentive. We got a bottle of wine. It was a small kitchen out in the dining room, where they would prepare Caesar salad and some flambé dishes. My wife’s cousin recommended this place, the duck was highly recommended, I had it, and it was absolutely delicious. After dinner, we went upstairs to the separate dessert room and got a great presentation on the desserts that they had that night. I had the Keylime pie. It was delicious. A little Baileys on the rocks has a nightcap.“
“One of our favorites haunts from "back in the day". We were in town and stopped in for an early dinner. Everything was as I remembered. We were given a great seat at the window overlooking Small Pass. The filet was spectacular.“
“We tried Tripletail for the first time and it did not disappoint. Our stunning server, Lily, was very attentive and knowledgeable. My husband tried a smoked bourbon and said it was very good, I had a tasty white sangria. We shared the shrimp and crab dip app. Our entrees were delicious. We had the tripletail, and we highly recommend this. I had the crab stuffed shrimp and they were equally as good. We highly recommend visiting Tripletail Seafood in Sarasota.“
“Michael's on East (MOE) is one of the best fine dining establishments in Sarasota and has been in business for nearly 40 years. Ive been a customer for nearly 30 of those 40 years and despite its maturity, MOE is still hot, hopping and a crowd pleaser for those who enjoy great food, wines and service. During its nearly four decades, MOE has been wowing patrons with its fine cuisine, decor, and outstanding service. Don't be surprised if you see actors, comedians and musicians who might be performing at the Van Wezel during the winter season, sitting next to you because the concierge at their hotel recommended MOE as one of the desirable restaurants for a sensational meal, wine and service. MOE is rich in Sarasota heritage and is the perfect choice to celebrate a special occasion with that very special guest or guests. It's a delight in every way.“
“It was fine. For a restaurant on an island near the sea, I would expect more variety in seafood dishes. The taste of the protein was good, I would expect an improvement in the presentation of the companions, the phenomenal service, the person in charge of the bar is great. It is a cozy place. The place has a lot of potential. The baguette [bread] is delicious. ?“
“Our family stopped by while on Spring Break, and we enjoyed the experience. I ordered the grouper tacos, which were large and tasty. Kids generally enjoyed their food. The ambiance was pleasant and fun. The bathrooms were gross and should have included a complimentary tetanus shot.“
“Amazing service and amazing food. The home made pasta and the other dishes were light and enjoyable to have. Reasonably priced too. Was surprised that it was at that price point after the meal with how high quality it was.Parking: Lots of parking.“
“One of the most delicious and comforting meals I’ve ever had. Everything was made fresh, including the pasta, and the attention to detail, love and care put into the food showed through every bite. The owner was so accommodating even though we called for a last minute reservation and was so welcoming from the second we walked into the door. You can tell this is his life’s passion and he truly wants to share the food from his region of Italy with everyone who walks through the doors. It was a fantastic meal and experience, and we will be back. Without question, the best Italian spot in the area.“
“We have had the most wonderful experiences at Veronica’s. The food is always delectable, and the service always impeccable. The interior has a gorgeous, art-nouveau/Victorian inspired design, which is a pretty cool place on its own merit to eat delicious seafood in. But the food supersedes even the design—we particularly are fans of the little eyedroppers of special sauce for the oysters (better for microdosing the flavor with, my dear)! Finally, a note about the service—we have been lucky enough to have the wonderful Rebecca as our server multiple times. She remembers our family each year and provides the kindest, most impeccable service…outdoing herself each time. She is the highlight of every visit and we can’t wait to be back next time!“
“This is ALWAYS a favorite! You can’t beat the food, and the service is AMAZING! We had a bit of a wait tonight. However: 1) It was worth the wait. And 2) the staff was very kind during our wait. In fact, they were bringing complimentary hush puppies out for everyone waiting. This place is one of those places in Sarasota that you absolutely cannot miss!“
“Our second dinner to Tiramasu was beyond expectations. Best Italian in Bradenton and offers the ala Parmigiana Cheese wheel pasta (pictured) prepared at your table. . Service was top-notch. Cozy setting where you can actually hear your table conversation. Veal Valdestano (pictured) was tender, flavorful, and delicious the next day. Wine pours are generous. Highly recommend!!!“
“I gave Shore 4 stars for not for the food but for the atmosphere. It's a sexy cool spot in heart of St. Armand's Circle. The staff was friendly. We went at 2pm thinking we'd missed the lunch crowd. The place was still packed. We only had to wait 15-20 minutes though. Drinks were great, had the Bee Keeper, Barrel Aged Cocktail and Espresso Martini. Started with the Crispy Bao Buns. I got the Tuna Tartare as my entree, hubs had the Faroe Island Salmon, you can see by his empty plate (forgot to take a before pic) that he enjoyed it. The tuna tartare was fresh and light. I feel there is "always something" good, bad or indifferent when dining out. My "always something" for Shore was the crispy bao buns. I know it says it in the name but I think one of the great thing about bao buns is the pillowy goodness and these crispy ones just missed the mark for me. All in all Shore is a great place to go grab a bite while shopping St. Armands Circle.“
“Make a reservation, this place is busy. We went later on a Sunday night and still had a to wait. The food was excellent! I got the sesame tuna with baby bok choy and was not disappointed. The tuna "melted" in my mouth and everything is was seasoned to perfection. We took a gamble at a place we've never been and it was worth it.To be fair the place is beautiful inside. I really would like you to know that the inside seating is rather "intimate" with others around you. Our table was unusually close to the tables next to us. I imagine the reason for this is to maximize the amount of people who they can provide service to at the same time. One can't help but overhear conversations at the table next to them, and be sure that they hear yours.“
“Absolutely stellar experience at Swordfish Grill! From the moment you step onto the outdoor tiki patio, you're greeted with Cortezian ambiance that sets the tone for a relaxed dining experience. The seafood is fresh and expertly prepared, bursting with flavor in every bite. The waterfront views are the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The staff are friendly, attentive, and truly elevate the overall experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Cortez, Swordfish Grill is a must-visit destination for anyone craving exceptional food and a memorable atmosphere. Five stars all the way!“
“It was mostly a good experience, but for some reason, the person at the Tiki bar felt that he had to first inform us of all the rules and things we can't do. After we finally got seated at the main bar for dinner, we had a great time!“
“We come in every year while visiting family in FL. We’ve always been happy however this year was exceptional! From all the food to our server Cecelia we could not have been more satisfied. Thank you for another enjoyable experience for our yearly visit!“
“The food is sooo fresh and delicious that it's worth the wait! Every time I go to Bradenton, I insist that I have to eat here. The clam strip are so tender and huge!! I always liked clam strips, but Starfish has spoiled me that I can't eat them anywhere else but here!!“
“WOW! We went last night while in town for a soccer tournament in Tampa.. Drove out to Sarasota to visit family and my cousin suggested here... and WOW the food was AMAZING! The service was FANTASTIC. The atmosphere was even better. This place is a must while in town!“
“How does this place only have a 4.1 out of 5 rating, 4.8 MINIMUM!!! We come here three to four times a year every time we come on vacation in Sarasota and I’ve never had more of a consistently perfect meal anywhere. Prime rib is literally perfection. Professional waitstaff and excellent bartenders. Manager has always right before your meal has finished stopped at the table to make sure you’re happy. A+“
“We had a beautiful baby shower today. The food was amazing, the servers were stupendous and Dean was so very welcoming and helpful. It was a total home run. Thanks for batting it out of the ballpark! It was a wonderful event and you all made it extra special!“
“I rarely leave a review, trust the process, four years in a row this restaurant is the most consistent, amazing restaurant I’ve been to in Florida. The best service, food quality and ambiance in Siesta Key. Can’t give a better review if I tried.“
“Great Happy Hour If you can score a seat at the bar or at a table in the bar area and it’s before 5:45pm, you can get a great deal. Drinks, including their house cocktails and most of their wines, are half off. There’s a nice list of small plates at excellent prices that are also available. We started with a couple of good cocktails. Then we shared the delicious happy hour fried shrimp. We followed that with the happy hour mussels—one of the best bowl of mussels I’ve had in a while. It was served with a basket of bread that was perfect to sop up the lovely mussel broth. Next we had the happy hour ceviche which was a generous serving and really tasty. We moved off the happy hour menu to get the Monkfish, which is discounted in the early evening. You don’t see monkfish on menus very often, and this one was very good. It comes with a soup or salad and we chose the delicious clam chowder. The plate it nicely composed with a starch and veg accompanying the monkfish. A shout out to our server, Barbara, who was very kind, helpful and efficient and moved us along at a pleasant, unrushed pace. We enjoyed our dinner very much and we hope to return.“
“We were on vacation looking for fresh seafood to grill. That's just what we got. Amazingly fresh. We got the mahi mahi and the snapper cooked both with some butter and onion. That's all it needed being as it was so fresh. Definitely worth bookmarking. Please like my review?“
“The atmosphere is vibrant and chic, perfect for a night out. The food is a culinary masterpiece, with every dish bursting with flavor and artfully presented. Service is top-notch, attentive without being intrusive. Definitely the go-to spot in Sarasota for an unforgettable dining experience. Can't wait to go back!“
“First time I ever went there and I have no complaints. Everything was from the service to the food, which was great. My family from Michigan came down wanted oysters, and i suggested this restaurant they never stopped raving how good the oysters and their food were. Thank you, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, for making part of their visit worth talking about. ??“
“Great Food! Great Prices! Will Always Support Local!!We were Thanked for Stopping By!! Let's just say when you are licking your fingers and making toast to get all the Juice and Butter!! Yum!! We had the Lobster Tail and 2 sides!! Definitely Going Back!!“
“My son is in the Air Force. We are from Central PA, but he is currently stationed in SD, and seafood options for him aren't of the best quality. A couple months ago I accidentally stumbled upon TopSail Steamer Pots on FB and saved the page. His 23rd birthday was this past week and I chose to send him a pot shipped via Fedex. It was scheduled to arrive Friday, so he could cook it Saturday for lunch. It arrived on time. He was extremely excited and happy to receive it. I ordered the pot to serve 4-6 (for 3 hungry airmen). It was more than enough. He said it was really good, and he's a seafood boil snob. He told me it was very fresh seafood. Thank you TopSail Steamer for making my son and a few of his fellow land-locked airmen happy this weekend with some quality seafood. (Picture is half of the food left from what was sent)“
“Visited on a mid April Saturday night. They don’t take reservations, so you go first come first serve. We waited an hour and a half for a table. The bar is cramped and it was filled with people eating their meals at the bar since they didn’t want to wait for a table. The bartenders work slow. It took us 20 minutes to get a drink, then had to leave the cramped bar.The food was great. The presentation was very nice. Our server must have been having a bad night. She wasn’t very personable or friendly. Sort of a Joe Friday type of personality. Just the facts ma’am.Next time, we will put our name in and go for a walk across the street to take in the view of the bay. It’s really nice.Overall the food will bring us back. We will come back in the off season when maybe it’s not so packed.“
“I recommend this restaurant especially since I was just visiting Florida for a couple of days! The crab that I had tasted delicious as well as the corn they had seasoned as well. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone who is interested in a southern style seafood place!“
“Very friendly staff. Super busy/fun place, but excellent service and food came out quickly which was helpful for our toddler. The food was really good. We ordered peel and eat shrimp with old bay, street down dip, calico burger, fish tacos, grouper sandwich, steamed clams, and the Mac and cheese and chicken tender kids meals. Zero complaints from our table. Everything was so delicious. The live music was great.I think we waited 10-15 minutes for the table on a Monday night. We had tried to go on Sunday but the wait was 30+ which was too much for our hungry toddler. We really enjoyed this spot.“
“It was my girlfriend 31st birthday, the night started a little sour as we had to wait over 10 mins after being seated for a waiter to greet us though they were not busy. They did apologize for the mix up and after that the night was great, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. She enjoyed her birthday and for that, thank you.“
“Sardinia deserves a 4.75 and maybe higher. Food is delicious and service exceptional too. A bit loud due to the room size and table placements, but that's required to run a business in SRQ. The Sardinian Bread is exceptional. All pastas are homemade...and wonderful as well. We had a delicious dinner and look forward to returning.“
“I made reservations at the much further away Flavio’s on Siesta Key for a table of 11, such a silly mistake, I suggest you don’t do that-it’s stressful! Anyway, the staff at Flavios on Main quickly set us up and welcomed us. The service and food was impeccable! I was so impressed with how well they took care of us all. A huge thank you to the staff at Flavios on Main for the quick pivot. Menu was great, everyone was more than satisfied. They’re the best! ❤️“
“Must have been an off night. We heard the bacon wrapped scallops were good and fresh. We ordered them and unfortunately they were small and dry. Everyone else at the table tried different burgers. They were good and the portions were very generous.“
“The Feast had a good selection of local beers to start with. Appetizers and main course selections were a mix of land and sea. The caprese salad was great, and the baby back ribs were truly "fall off the bone". The place is small, so reservations are highly recommended. I would eat here again.“
“We came to this location for the first time! When walking in it seemed very unorganized, but once we were seated we were hopeful. We sat in RJ’s section- what a friendly super welcoming waiter. He made us feel very welcome even made us laugh a few times. He continued to check on us and was exceptional at his job. We will definitely be back and ask for his section next time. We ordered the chef special boil with medium heat, omg everything was so delish. Muah“
“5 starts BUT READ!To be honest the food is amazing, fresh and you can tell it is made with love, BUT portions are not like in the pictures, they serve pretty small portions for mexican food and special for this kind of places, we had to come back and buy some tacos in another little places, they came with a lot of protein and they were just 1$ each, in Mexi-Peru they were 3$ each with just a little bit of carne asada on it. Too bad I didn't take pictures because initially I wasn't planning to leave a review, but after being still hungry and having to come back for more food I think this review could be useful, don't get me wrong excellent taste but portions - price not at all!To be honest, the food is delicious! It is fresh and you can see that they cook with love, BUT the portions for Mexican food and this type of place that is like a fair, were very small, they are not like the photos! After eating we were hungry and had to go back to buy $1 tacos at another stall that were also delicious. It is not a negative comment and it is too bad that I did not take a photo, because initially I did not plan to leave any comment, but after having to buy at another stall, and cheaper with more food to be satisfied, I think that this comment would be useful for both The owner and the customers, the food is seriously good but the prices for what they serve are not!“
“Visiting St Armand’s Circle from Minneapolis and had dinner here our last night. Seriously the best lobster roll (Connecticut) ever. And also amazing lobster bisque. Finally a lobster roll with tons of lobster and the right amount of bread. Highly recommend! Casual setting with indoor and outdoor seating.“
“This was a delicious stop! The fish shrimp combo was perfectly cooked. You can choose to grill or fry the fish or shrimp and I asked for extra crispy fries. My husband had a grilled shrimp bowl which was a ton of food but delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Don't hesitate to stop here for fresh seafood!Dietary restrictions: Grilled seafood option and side salad and steamed vegetables are available.“
“The service and food was delicious! We came here for a bachelorette weekend, made an easy reservation on open table. We were seated immediately, ordered cocktails and calamari to start! The bread and oil that is complimentary is delicious. We ordered the salmon entrees, lobster linguini, and the clam linguini dish! They even threw in a special tiramisu for our bride and it was to die for!! The environment is cozy too! Our waiter was from Hungary and very attentive! One of the only restaurants on the island that takes reservations, something to think about if you have a big party!“
“You must go! Overall a truly enjoyable dining experience for our group of 6 from NYC, Boston and CT. The service is impeccable, atmosphere is casual and lovely, while the food is creative American fine dining, with whimsy, such as the Birthday cake ice cream for dessert. The local red snapper dish was the best seafood dish that 3 of our guests have ever had. Highly recommend the Pickled Peppers and such, Parmesan Beignets and the Berkshire Pork as well. The attention to detail and flavors for each dish is Michelin Star quality. We have dined at the finest restaurants in NYC. If we lived in Sarasota, we would go back to Indigenous over and over. You will not be disappointed. Can not recommend highly enough.“
“The is the best spot! I am reluctant to give it a super review because I don't want all the tourists to find it. But Deb and the staff are amazing, so I have to say...5 Stars!! Best Burger in town! Sorry Patrick!Parking: Don't be afraid to park away and walk a little. Park down by Mote & Save Our Seabirds. Then walk the short distance up to the Bait Shop. You'll work up an appetite and avoid getting tied up with people who don't know how to park if there aren't lines on asphalt“
“Can't say much except for the drinks as we did the walk up bar. The Miami vice was great. Our friends ate lunch there and we asked them to bring us something if it was good. They said the food was mediocre and the service was incredibly slow.“
“I'm from Ohio. My uncle, when he lived in Florida, loved this restaurant. He would take me there. Even though he has passed when I'm in Florida, I stop in for memories and the best tasting Ruben Sandwich that I've ever tasted. Service is always great also.“
“Dry Dock is consistently a great place to get a well-prepared lunch or dinner and the service is friendly without being intrusive. Being on the water (where we experienced a whole pod of dolphins swimming by our window seat) is just an extra inducement to visiting there.Parking: Limited and hard to get in and out of, if you go too far and haven't found a spot, you are forced to back yourself all the way out because there is no turnaround.“
