“I respectfully cannot give O’Maddy less than five stars. My sister had her wedding here -hell- there’s even a drink named after my sister’s mother-in-law!

But do not worry, dear reviewer, though we are biased, we are honest.

Parking: Despite the limited parking, we happened to get a front row “princess parking” spot right in front of the building. If you don’t get as lucky as we are, there is more parking around the corner if you are willing to walk.

Atmosphere: the vibes are immaculate, as any cozy pub can be! Even more so because O’Maddy’s has big, open-air seating that looks right out onto the bay. As a girl from Oregon seeing a REAL beach (one that isn’t wild, freezing, and liable to kill you), I found it soothing to see the tropic, warm water. This evening, the Australia vs. US soccer game was on (the US won 2-0), and it would have been an amazing game to watch, but we just so happened to be seated at one of the only tables without access to a television. (This can be forgiven, though, since they were able to seat a party of 8 with no wait time.)

Food: the nephew gives his bun only to his hot dog 5/5 stars. He tried giving a thumbs up, but we are still learning that skill. Overall, the party was happy with their food. We unanimously agreed that the French fries are top tier, and all French fries need to taste and look like the ones from O’Maddys’. It’s not just greasy pub fare!

“Four of us came for lunch; only one of our party ordered seafood, which is what they mostly have. That same person also was the only one to order an alcoholic drink. My pulled pork sandwich was a great disappointment. The pulled pork didn't even cover the bottom part of the bread, very skimpy serving. What there was good, but mostly it was the taste of the bread that I experienced. Service was slow. Didn't see many ordering meals as we did, but many did enjoy the bar the libations there. If you go for seafood, you will probably enjoy this restaurant. Fortunately, it wasn't hot yet.“

The birthday boy has the Mango Nut Crusted Grouper (Fresh Florida Grouper crusted with macadamia, pistachio, and walnuts with a Mango Beurre Blanc & coconut basmati rice.) The atmosphere was inviting - our locals enjoyed the signature dishes and the menu selections, and our out-of-town family was impressed the location, food and service.“

“Tha clam chowder was perfect….hot till the last bite…..loaded with clams and potatoes. Thick and creamy and reasonable price. The fried clams were the tastiest ever. Perfectly fried, tender, flavorful, and a hearty portion and reasonable price.“

“We ate here 2 nights while staying on the beach this week. The hummus and flatbread along with their house salad for a starter was sooo good. The coconut shrimp was good and the coconut curry snapper was the best fish I have ever tasted and I grew up in Florida. The dish is not sweet and the flavor is amazing along with fish cooked perfect. Don’t hesitate to eat here it was our best meal when in St Pete Beach. Thanks Snappers we will be back!“

The trout was only $15.95 and absolutely delicious, and the Mezzo Mezzo pasta was just as amazing. The crab looked so good that I'm already wishing I'd ordered it, but I was craving pasta! It's not right on the beach, but it's definitely worth the visit. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a hidden gem!“

“4 of 5 Star review Came to Florida for my bachelorette trip and chose this place as the place I wanted to have a “nice dinner.” We had a reservation at 8pm. The bar messed up 2 of our 5 drinks, which the waitress had remade and apologized saying the got a rush. All the food (conch platter, seafood pasta, crab legs, 4oz filet, and fresh vegetable pasta) was yummy and came old hot and well seasoned, though the steak was overcooked (ordered medium) Would have been 5 stars, but our waitress took 40 minutes to simply get us our checks and run our cards😅“

“My wife and I arrived on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 at 2:30 and found the place empty except for an older couple (like us) sitting at the bar which we sat at as well. We were greeted by Kalen who was bartender/waiter and was happy to share the history of his family restaurant. We have been displaced New Englanders for close to ten years and know good seafood and UNTIL TODAY was convinced it was never going to be found in Florida! We ordered two beers after taste testing four or five of their micro brews. Ordered two Clam Chowders , a Clam Basket (with bellies, which are non-existent in Florida), and a Lobster Roll, (Maine Style, which means "cold") and one of their famous Maine Whoopie Pies all for under a hundred dollars! FLORIDA , IF YOU WANT TO TASTE WHAT REAL SEAFOOD SHOULD TASTE LIKE....THIS IS THE PLACE! It is not an easy place to find but we will be back with all our New England friends that is for sure!“
