“I love this place for its elegance and great food. This is an upscale, casual eatery where the chefs are talented and the staff is not overbearing. Sometimes there’s a wait but it’s worth it. There’s a large bar area and the dining room oozes elegance. “Incredible food, drinks and service at Veronica's Fish and Oyster Bar last night for our Anniversary 💍🍾🥂 Highly recommend! We shared the octopus appetizer. My hubby had the skirt steak. I had the whole branzino (not pictured BC the photo was too blurry) it came with the Greek salad. We shared the wild mushrooms and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They also have a fabulous selfie mirror in the ladies room 😍 Our waitress Alexandra was amazing and even brought us a free dessert to celebrate 🥳“

“We just happened upon El Ceviche and with knowledge that ceviche was invented in Peru and I hadn't had it in a long time, we ventured in with no recommendation from anyone. What a find! “My husband and I decided to go to bonefish for our 11th yr anniversary, we have a 4yr old so we don’t get to have many date nights & it was more than a perfect experience! Luke was our server, he was very friendly, greeted our table quickly, knowledgeable about the menu items and helpful in choosing the delicious food we received. We started off with the bang, bang shrimp, my husband then got the filet & lobster and I got the grilled salmon with lemon & caper butter, broccoli & a caesar salad. Everything was Delicious. The manager Jessica was walking around visiting with the tables, it was really nice to see an establishment that truly cared how the customers experience was going. “We were able to get seats at the bar. We enjoyed ourselves. The bartender Jen was great. It was busy and she was on her toes as she was the only bartender but made sure everyone was taken care of. The expeditor was impressive. His name was Brody. It was great to see a young man being so attentive to what he was doing and making sure that the staff knew what was going on. “So delicious, everything is home made. It is a small intimate restaurant and the owners/chefs are so welcoming. The pasta is so delicious and the focaccia bread to the mussels appetizer to the lamb sauce over fettuccine was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The homemade mixture they serve with the bread is unlike anything we have ever had and it was their grandma’s recipe that made it extra special. I would suggest a reservation for this hidden gem!“

“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. The atmosphere was perfect and service was the best. I cant wait to go back.“

“This place was packed and it was our first time visiting, we were on vacation. We were told a 15 min wait for a table but it took about 30. Others were sat before us but, I think that was because employees were waiting on a table to better accommodate a wheelchair and walker. The server was very friendly and helpful with questions. It took so long to get our appetizers and the main orders that nothing came out hot. The food was warm enough to still eat but, just not as satisfying as it could have been if it were hot (hope that makes sense). Even still, the food was good. We had grouper bites, shrimp, and clams for appetizers. The bites & shrimp had a bam bam sauce that was bland but ok, they were fried so just coming out warm missed the mark. I had fried haddock with fries and rice pilaf - all was just kind of warm and bland. My dad had steamed veggies with his that weren’t fully steamed. For the price paid, the mark was definitely missed. Fried foods really need to be hot and crispy, ours was warm with the breading getting mushy and tasted like no one understood seasoning. Definitely a miss. Still recommend to try, ours could have just been a one off.“

“Last night we celebrated our 27th anniversary. Cannot believe it's been 27 years! We dined Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster House - Lakewood Ranch, FL I cannot say enough about Deep Lagoon. Even we arrived we had a reservation and I asked for a game near the window, but there was a small wait, like 10 or 15 minutes. No big deal, we waited patiently as I figured they needed to set up a table or wait for diners to leave. Once we were seated we ordered drinks and an appetizer. The manager brought us Crab Rangoon appetizer on the house because of the wait. We were surprised and assured her we weren't upset at all about the wait. We had a lovely meal, calamari was fantastic, the scallops and swordfish were outstanding. We Donaghy with mandarin orange creme brulee which they gave us on the house as well. Our server Josh was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant. Prices are good as well. We will definitely be back!“

We had very bad service last weekend. For a higher priced restaurant like this, it was terrible. Our server 100% forgot about us. We ordered salads as soon as he brought our drinks and if he’d have asked, we’d have given our entire order right then. When we got our salads he didn’t check on us until they were almost gone. My husband wanted a well done steak, so our order should have been put in. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I don’t think they want to rush you in a nice restaurant. I asked if he could take our order when he checked on our salads. We took our time eating but decided we’d need a box to take home. We waited at least 20 minutes before he came to check on us. I used the restroom at one point and saw him at the bar area. I think his main section was over there because we never saw him at any of the tables around us. We were seated in the back by the kitchen and I saw him in that area and he was looking around in the dining area at the very large birthday party next to us but he wouldn’t make eye contact for me to ask for a box and our check. It was enough to not go back for awhile. For $140 ($170 w/tip) we could have eaten almost anywhere.“

Matthew, our server, was great — he helped us put together a custom flatbread and made a point of flagging our gluten allergy to the chef so we didn’t have to stress about it. That flatbread ended up being the star of the night, loaded with flavor start to finish. For entrees, we both went with the filet mignon, and it came out cooked exactly right.
