Tiffany the owner always remembers frequent customer names and asks how you are. Infact, the whole crew is always friendly and makes you feel welcome.

“Maitland, FL. Great service and really great grits, sausage gravy and biscuits made our drive here well worth it. It’s kinda far from where we live but Steve said he’d absolutely come back.

We sat on the large patio area that was nicely set up to feel special. It had misters going and we felt breezy and nice out there even though it was a hot July day. We enjoyed our meal very much.

This is a popular spot with locals. In fact, thigh, it’s kinda hard to spot. Even with Siri we thought we were turning into the Public Storage parking lot. Only after we did that did we see the restaurant.

Once inside the restaurant, though, you realize it’s a nice, Southern hospitality kind of place. I’ve been to another location and I feel this location’s patio was better. Also, the restaurant inside felt cozy and cool. The other location I’ve been to had a lot of orange accents. At this Maitland location the color scheme was more modern and cute.

The servers were prompt and worked well as a team.

Our server was appropriately welcoming and helpful and when I asked questions she chatted easily with us. I asked about other peach items on the menu and she said the peach hot sauce on the table sells out before Christmas! Also, they have added peach pancakes and peach waffles to the menu.“

“I’ve stopped into The Glass Knife several times and always enjoyed their coffee and pastries; everything is top notch in terms of quality and presentation. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

That said, the service has felt a little snooty each time. Nothing outright rude, but I just don’t feel especially welcome when ordering. It’s a beautiful spot with delicious treats, but the vibe could be warmer. Still, four stars for the quality alone.“

“Today I stopped in for some wellness shots & left with much more. First time trying the Buffalo Chickpea Salad & I ate it on my way home it looked so good-it was amazing! Then I broke into the homemade Broccoli Potato soup-yummy! Washed it all down with the watermelon Good Vibrations juice! If only we had a location in Lake Mary/Sanford, (hint hint) I would eat there multiple times per week! I just can’t say enough about this place & the owners are absolute gems!“

“The girl at the counter let me know that I could get a hot Tea-Presso since it was cold outside. I tired a hot jasmine green tea with milk and boba. I would have preferred a stronger flavor but it was pretty good and VERY hot. My daughter got Thai iced tea milk tea with boba and her friend got a mango milk tea. They said their drinks were really good. It seemed a little pricey but the drinks were big. My other daughter got a Nutella brownie and it was tasty.“

I have come in here with my cousin a few times and once with my college-age son, and the food has been great everytime. “I have only ever consumed the coffee from this establishment, and it is of exceptional quality. Although it is slightly more expensive than Starbucks, the quality is superior. However, I do not appreciate the culture of tipping. Employers should pay their employees a fair wage so that they are not reliant on customers to supplement their income.“

“Parking: There is a lot of parking, but you have to be willing to walk a hundred or so feet to reach the Cafe. It is located on the First Baptist Orlando campus, inside the Faith Hall building.

Wheelchair accessibility: Faith Hall, the building where the Cafe is located, is nice and open and easy to navigate in a wheelchair. Two of the four entrances have automatic doors: one on the back end closer to Welcome Center B and the other on the long side of the building facing Welcome Center A. I do NOT recommend using the doors on the end of the building facing "Faith Hall Loop," unless you have a very strong person to open the door for you. Just walk a few feet around to the right to find the sliding door. As you enter Faith Hall and approach the Cafe, if you're in a wheelchair, it may be necessary to skip the regular roped-off line and use the exit in front of the register, as it may be too tight a fit. However, if I'm just using a walker, I can manage the turns fine.“

The highlight of our visit was, of course, spending time with the adorable cats and saying hello to Bongo the cat manager. They were so friendly and playful. Our reserved hour was relaxing and fun. What made our visit even more special was how they celebrated my sister’s birthday. They went above and beyond, making her an honorary cat for the day! It was such a thoughtful and creative gesture. “As a vegan, the food options here are INCREDIBLE! I really appreciate that they used whole food ingredients and no “fake meat” stuff. We ordered their vegan brekie sandwich and it had a homemade lentil patty and tofu! So much good protein in one sandwich! Also their vegan pineapple oat pancakes were so healthy, delicious, and filing. I’m so happy we found this place. Definitely coming back!
