“La Bamba is a fast paced in and out kind of place. It’s great for a quickly heated hearty meal, good chips and a 6 minute turnaround on stove to table service. The margaritas are from a mix and they give you a choice of tequila. $15. The service is always friendly but we usually feel rushed to pay and leave. Even 1/2 way through the meal, I was asked if he can take my plate. Fork to mouth ! “Umm, ok”.Vegetarian options: Veggie fajitas, taco salad, nachos, quesadillas, guacamole.Parking: The parking isn’t really an issue. Close to the door fills up fast but the lot is close enough.“
“Went twice for the week we stayed down here! Food was incredible, waitress was super inviting and polite and went out of her way for us!Recommend a million times over!!!!Birria tacos and drinks are the best!!Kid-friendliness: Offered a coloring page and different fruity drinks“
“My experience has been excellent in this place. I came one day with my mother and we tried one of their coffees, and the person who served us (Valentina) gave us good service, she is very attentive and was very kind to us. The truth is one of the best people to serve that restaurant.“
“Visiting Pompano Beach from out of state and love eating Cuban food while I'm here. There are a handful of Cuban places around, but no place like this one! This place is attached to a gas station and has a small counter to order food. The person behind the counter was singing while he made coffee! He clearly was loving his job! If I wasn't in a good mood, I would have been when I left. The coffee was superb. I also got a egg sandwich on a croissant. Sounds so simple, but it was delicious! The croissant was soft and buttery. The egg was hot! I saw the whole thing being made. I wouldn't change a thing. Going back tomorrow.“
“We really enjoyed our meal! Cool night so I had a tasty soup, caldo gallego. My entree was the camarones al ajillo, succulent and flavorful. My husband had the lechon. Loved it. Bread was great too. Service was charming and efficient. We almost went back the next day! lol.Parking: Busy strip mall but lots of spaceKid-friendliness: Kids can be happyWheelchair accessibility: Looks wheelchair accessible“
“Had both lunch and evening tapas on a different evening. The food was outstanding. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a cuban sandwich for lunch and it was one of the best I've ever had. The restaurant itself has a very european (Spanish) vibe).“
“This place is a true "hole-in-the-wall" and gem tucked in between continuous industrial sites and blue-collar businesses. The breakfast is some of the tastiest and freshest in the Pompano area.Don't miss out on the freshly squeezed orange juice. They also make some of the best cortaditos I've ever had, especially if you're a coffee guy like me.Don't expect to walk into a luxury restaurant because it's far from that, however the coziness, family-owned charm and down-to-earth ambiance makes this place special. Delicious and authentic Cuban spot!“
“My wife and I had an excellent experience, thanks first to our server, Elizabeth Nicole, who was very cordial, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked pork chop, rice was well cooked and the beans, oh the beans, very tasty. We also had a rack of ribs in Guava BBQ sauce, juicy and very tender, sooo tasty. Oh, before I forget, those mojitos, man...sooo good, we will definitely come back, and not alone next time ?“
“We ordered twice from here while on vacation. I didnt have high expectations since we randomly picked a quick bite at the mall. Their black beans were okay. Plaintains and yellow rice were yummy. The pulled pork though was out of this world! Portions are very generous for $10. I shared it with my two young kids.“
“Went in for some Pan Con Bistecs and my god, ??. It was amazing! Hialeah is too far for me so this was a little slice of Cuba for me. Perfect and what I expected in flavor! Hats off to them and highly recommend! Found myself a new spot to eat! Service was fast and great! Staff was awesome! Compliments to the chef!“
“A must try. We had a few options in the area and chose here for authentic Cuban food. The Cuban and the creole beef was amazing! Someone else in our group got the fried chicken and let me tell you USE THE LIME. It enhances the flavor of the breaded chicken. Service was top notch from the greet to the goodbye. Quick service as well considering they were in a lunch rush.“
“I love enjoying Cuban breakfast specialties when I can get them, so when visiting the Las Olas area and seeing this place very close, I went in for some empanadas for breakfast. They have croquettes, empanadas, savory pastries, and full breakfasts, including sandwiches, even Cubanos. On my visit, I opted for a spinach and a chicken empanada, a chorizo and cheese croquette, and a beef pastry. I also ordered their spicy sauce, which was a mayo-based sauce with hardly any spice to it.The empanadas were really good, with the spinach being my favorite. The beef pastry was decent and the croquette was nice too.Service was friendly. The place was steamy hot on the morning I went, like the AC was broken. I’d definitely return when in the area though, as they have so much to try.“
“They re-did the inside and I love it!!!! A warm and welcoming atmosphere and great food. They are great with my husbands pork and shellfish allergy.Dietary restrictions: They are SO good about my husbands allergies and ensuring he does not get ill.“
“Delicious Cuban coffee. I love the taste and freshness of their coffees. It's also an easy going place - never too busy nor hectic, and nice Cuban decorations on the walls. I wish their prices were a bit more modest, and then I'd eat there more often. But this is Coral Springs.....“
“Home cooked by GRANDMA! I was pretty amazed stopping by this little hole in the wall. I didn't expect much of it because I don't typically go out for Cuban food being Cuban myself. I made an exception for this little hole in the wall. We were instantly greeted and felt comfortable. It got full VERY quickly. As we browsed the menu, we noticed regulars stopping by and being greeted by their first name by the staff. That's when you know, they're regulars and the food is bomb. The Cuban food was as close to Cuban as it can get, in the streets cooking for people. It had a very home cooked taste that you don't typically find in the "Cuban" chain restaurants many know of in South Florida ie La Caretta, Latin America etc. What surprised me the most was, I saw the cook coming out when the restaurant was packed and everyone was eating. Of course, you cannot guess who it was? IT WAS THE GRANDMA. Yup! No lies. A , what appeared to be a 60+ year old grandma COOKING the Cuban food by the book. She puts Nitza Villapol to shame. Jk Cubans know who that is. A part of me was grateful a grandma was the head chef because only a grandma would still cook with that much care for masses in a restaurant. The other part of me, the granddaughter side, wishes she would rest. Either way, I'm grateful she was cooking the food in this restaurant. For that alone, I would come back to that restaurant and recommend it to others. If you are looking for authentic Cuban food, Don Carlin is the place to go. Service was fantastic , food was great, restaurant was cozy but not fancy and the prices were still reasonable for this day and age.“
“The food at this place has the warmth of homemade cooking, clearly made with love by Lucho. The service was excellent. I sampled the ceviche, lomo steak sandwich, and beef empanada, accompanied by a refreshing guanábana shake. Everything was delicious. Despite initial skepticism, I learned not to judge a book by its cover. I highly recommend this small business.“
“Wonderful Cuban menu and food. Just what I needed and what I was looking for in South Florida. I am a repeat customer for the food that I ordered and have to tell you, this was one of the best. The yuca was wonderful with great seasoning and the fried pork fell apart in your mouth! Wonderful!“
“First time visiting this restaurant and it certainly won't be our last. The food was amazing, we ordered the octopus appetizer and I had the paella and my wife the skirt steak. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portions were very generous. We started with the house Sangria and capped the night off with cheesecake and coffee. We spent almost 3 hours in this little gem and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you to the host and our servers for a wonderful evening, and we'll see you soon.“
“First of all, friendly and fast service. Second, tasty food. Third, nice atmosphere. We got empanadas, plantains, arroz con pollo, steak, and a Cuban sandwich. Every dish was good, and more food than we expected. The waiter and servers were all genuinely friendly and took the time to personalize your experience. My friends enjoyed the tres leches cake for dessert. Thank you for a nice meal! We hope your restaurant continues to thrive.“
“Been going to Mariachis since when it was next to the Coral Square Mall. I'm glad to still see some of the guys from 20+ years ago, still there. The owner greets you at the door most of the times and he and the staff tends to remember you from previous visits. The food is awesome, high quality and seasoned! The prices went up about 15% since the first visit.“
“Guys guys guys, this is an absolute must. If you're in the area, definitely go to this place. Pass up all the Vicky's Bakery cause this is the place for Cuban food and baked goods. Literally everything here is amazing. Service was very good, atmosphere is a little outdated but the food, baked goods and service picks up its slack. I will definitely be returning.“
“Good food. Everything is made fresh so the waits are a bit long. We came in April and it was so hot. We waited over 30 minutes for two sandwiches. It was unbearably hot. Ambience, comfort, temperature, everything affects the taste of the food. I would have enjoyed it more if I was not standing in the hot sun for 30 minutes. I know- it's a food truck. They can't help it. I get it. Definitely 5 stars for the food.“
“Noche Cubana is an experience not to be missed. Whether you are there for the lechon or the paella, you won't be disappointed. You won't find better anywhere! You can wash it all down with the best Sangria in town. Then cap it off with Tres Leches for dessert... And finally, I have to commend the attentive and friendly staff.“
“This is a hidden Gem. Highly recommend this spot. The food was amazing in every bite. The flavor, temperature, texture, and freshness of the food was beyond great. True and authentic Caribbean flavor in the dishes here. I loved the pork chop here and the Tostones were just perfect. Crunchy but tender freshly made like it was just cut from the Platano tree. This is just hard to find in most places in Fort Lauderdale. Can't go wrong with the Cuban coffee at the end to hit the spot and end this wonderful Caribbean art display and splash of flavor on your belly. The Music and the art work makes this place cozy and comfortable.“
“The service is top notch. 5 stars. Employees are friendly and meet your needs.Food taste wonderful but have noticed since the end of the pandemic the amount of food has gotten smaller but the price has increased. But that’s the new norm.“
“My first time here. Small and cozy place to enjoy breakfast and lunch. I walked in and placed an ordered for Vaca Frita. She didn't hand me a receipt. In my mind how will you know who ordered what? She did take my name. I asked for a receipt she said email or text. Others are coming in and there were two ahead of me. I see them place the food on a stand behind the counter. She (different person than who took my order) asked me my name and hands me my food but again, the receipt that was attached she ripped and tossed. I get home and it's not what I ordered. It was delicious, but it wasn't what I wanted or ordered. Since I was on lunch break I couldn't return nor did I have to time for a remake of my order. Very flavorful and I would return. However, I think receipts should be given and matched so this doesn't happen again. I added the peppers (pikiliz).“
“I order online and it was delivered by door dash. I was missing some of my ordered. I call the restaurant to advise them I was missing parts of my order. I was told that I have to come to pick up the missing items because it was deliver 3rd party. (That was the reason why I order online and paid for delivery so I don't have to go to the restaurant) I ask was they going to refund me my delivery charge since I had to go to the restaurant to pick up my missing items. I ended up going back to the restaurant for my missing items and the owner was not able to refund me but gave me a few extra items to off set the delivery charge. I appreciate the suggestion and for that I will return.“
“(Translated by Google) The food is delicious andIt is the best Cuban coffee around this area. The place is super clean and the attention is excellent. “Amazing little Cuban joint! I've had a lot of Cuban food living in South FLORDIA and this has to be one of the coolest mom and pop type store I've been too. Super good Cafe Con leche, fast and friendly service and the Cubano Sandwich I had was mouth watering. It has this cool authentic feeling when you just walk in there. Highly recommend giving this place a shot.“
“Honestly, this is one of my go to spots when craving a Cuban sandwich and I don't feel like going to Miami. The food is great, prices are fair, and service is solid. Pretty much a quick and painless outing each time, and for about $13 bucks I get a delicious sandwich for lunch?? Not too bad.Keep it up, El Cubano!“
“Best guava and cheese pastelitas. It was loaded with guava and cheese throughout the pastry .The cuban sandwich had shredded pork which was wonderful.Parking: It was a little tough finding it from the main road. It's tucked in the corner but Google maps got me there.“
“I love this place ! they have the best Latin food I've had in a while. Especially in the area of this place, food always tastes absolutely fresh and well made. Their drinks are light and tasty and every other weekend they have live music, I think? The Saturday we passed by, they had live music and it was so wonderful. It's wonderful to find a place like this so close to Latin culture because it's so hard sometimes.“
“For years my family has been coming to eat at this excellent Cuban restaurant. We come every year from New York and the first place we come to eat after we land is at this beautiful restaurant with an excellent staff that makes you feel very welcome and has become part of my family . The food is amazing and delicious and they serve a lot of food for the price. I love Ely she is the manager of the restaurant and she always has a beautiful smileWhen she greets her guests. Thank you for the outstanding service and hospitality.Parking: Great availability!“
“I was a solo diner for brunch and Sandra D made feel so welcomed. My crab and asparagus omlette was delicious and the homemade hot sauce the very nice hostess brought me out was out of this world. ( my husband makes his own hot sauce) When I am back in Las Olas I wil visit this place again and I highly recommend it.“
“Stopped in for coffee and decided to try a chocolate chip cookie. It's actually a chocolate chunk cookie. Seriously good. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant even though it was her first day and needed some help from her coworkers.“
“Very good Peruvian food. It is far from Boca Raton but the food has always been good. The Aji de Gallina, chicken in a sauce, and the fish dishes have always been very good. The Lomo Saltado is really good also and the Causa de Pollo and Tuna is great with the Aji de Amarillo sauce. Worth the drive!!!“
“La Bamba is one of the highlighted Mexican restaurants in the area. Always busy, and they keep good quality food and service. Enjoy getting serviced by Rita tonight on (3/11/2024). She paid attention to the details of our orders.Parking: Parking is limited on premise, some people park at the bank parking lot.“
“Today I visited a Santa Barbara cafe that left me thoroughly impressed. The star of the menu was undeniably the ox tail dish – a true culinary masterpiece. The meat was tender, succulent, and bursting with rich flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Havana. The cafe's authentic atmosphere, paired with the friendly staff, made the dining experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful taste of Cuban cuisine.“
“I've been going to this place and it opened and I remember years ago. The food was just all right and I just ordered food to be delivered and let me tell you it's excellent. I was quite pleasantly surprised the black beans are awesome the food taste much better than like, for example The place on State Road seven in Boca that I can't remember the name of right now. I think I have a review of it and my list of reviews don't go there whatever you do. Padrinos, that's the. Anyway, thank you La Parrilla the food is great.“
