“Hell yeah I recommend them. I am here on business with a client and when I travel, like to sample local hole in the wall places. So I come in JCs and they serve their seafood cooked in a bag. They throw all kinda of seafood as well as corn potatoes and sausage. I had a half pound bad each of corn and sausage with egg as and rice and for those of you who know me and know I eat, this more than filled me. Be sure you come in wearing trashy clothes as they also throw various sauces in to the bag and steam and cook it. They give you a bib and wipes and you WILL need them Also, I was waited on by Jaime who gave awesome service. I hadn’t eaten at this type of restaurant before and she won’t make you feel like a goober for asking questions. Very courteous and professional. I am likely to be coming to Mary Esther each spring for several years to come. You can bet your sweet bippy I will be coming back when I do! It sounds like it’s a western panhandle chain but you would do wonders coming to DUUUVALLL!“

“I'm torn on recommending, honestly. We've eaten here twice with the 1st time being good and the 2nd time (tonight) being terrible! My son couldn't even eat half of his burrito and my chicken quesadilla had entirely too much cheese to the point it was basically just cheese! I removed as much of the cheese as I could. The middle aged lady that made ours this evening spoke way too fast to be able to understand her, lacked personality, and just slapped the dinner together without any care. The 1st time (when it was good), the younger blonde lady was super nice and did a great job at making our dinner that night. My son actually craved the burritos after the 1st night. After tonight...not so much!! They are a bit on the expensive side, as well.“

“What do I recommend? Anything!! Everything!! We had the fried grouper dinner with coleslaw and fries. The grouper was so fresh and juicy. And flaky!!! The coleslaw tasted like my mom’s! 🥰 and the hush puppies were pure perfection. We had planned to visit a place over in Destin but the prices were ridiculous!! $42 for six jumbo shrimp?! C’mon!! I honestly wasn’t expecting the quality of food for the price I paid! Great food. Great prices! I only dealt with T who took my order and was so courteous and Joey who I just had to tell about our wonderful experience. I told her we would be back before we leave and I’ve already planned my Sunday dinner! This was the Stewby’s on Racetrack Drive in Fort Walton. Highly recommend it!“

“The Gulf is one of my favorite places. The staff is always friendly and it’s the perfect place to grab a bite and relax with family and friends or read and study solo. “We found this fabulous spot on a FB group for Fwb. We ventured out and had dinner last week - feta dip (OhMyGoodness!), hot honey flatbread, crabcake on lobster risotto, and creme brulee special. The service was spot on and the food was flat out fabulous! I took leftovers home and ate every bite - esp. the feta which surprised me as I already had a great whipped feta recipe. Nope, there's is better. Only caveat is they don't have cocktails but they have great wine options and beer/sodas. We took our dog (huge plus) and enjoyed a beautiful evening!“

“I love this place! First Korean restaurant I ever ate at (back in 2003ish), and been going back ever since. I liked a Korean restaurant in Germany too, but no other place I've tried (about 20 others) has compared. The owner always remembers me, my family, and my friends. We don't even need a menu, she knows what food and drinks we want and lets us know if there's something special to try that day, like the seaweed soup.“

“ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AND SO DELICIOUS! My son is obsessed with the show Trash Truck but hard to find! I knew these cakes were delicious so I stopped in to order a small round cake and cupcakes. I told her just to do shades of green or blue cause I knew it would be delicious so just wanted the round for the topper I ordered. She told me she would check the show out and I sent her pics of the topper. She was super helpful on what to order! My favorite is the Blueberry and I was happy to enjoy a pumpkin beer as well! A flight is also available if you want to try out their beers! “Good food. The cobbler tasted great, although a little overly sweet for my liking. Only downside was the employees seeming like they didn’t want to be at work. They weren’t necessarily mean, but they did act like they didn’t want to be there. The ambiance wasn’t very good either. They were blasting gospel music at full volume in the store. Might be back but will definitely be taking it to go to avoid the loud church music. However if you’re someone who enjoys a scoop of diabetes after a rousing church sermon, this place is for you. 😂“

I’ve been a local in Fort Walton Beach since 2014, and Sunset Bowls has been my favorite place for açaí bowls ever since I first discovered them in July 2018. Over the years, the quality, freshness, and service have remained consistently excellent, which is why I keep coming back.

The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are generous, and every bowl is made with care. My personal tradition is ordering one bowl to enjoy right away and another to take home because they’re simply that good. Whether I’m craving the Point Break, Hang Ten, or trying something new, I’m never disappointed.

It’s rare to find a local business that maintains such high standards year after year, but Sunset Bowls continues to deliver. My only complaint for the Shrimp and Grits is the shrimp are obviously frozen farmed, and small. The grits and biscuits are very good and well seasoned, they need bigger, fresher shrimp to make it a high quality dish. Definitely a popular place and I need to try some other meals.“

I expected a spring roll like you get in an Asian restaurant. I got six shrimp tails wrapped in phyllo for $16. Very disappointed in the food but the atmosphere is nice.“
