“We went to Miami from Southern Illinois for a golf tournament and decided to try Famous Dave’s for supper. The only disappointment that we had was we waited until the day before we left to eat there. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. We would have loved to have eaten there another day to try some other barbecue. Who would have thought there would be the gem of a bbq joint in South Florida. I never expected it and I would highly recommend. Our server Christian worked hard and done a great job.“

“We’ve been coming here for years and the experience keeps getting better and better. The entire staff is extremely welcoming and makes you feel at home every time. We visit at least once a month, and it has become one of our family favorites.

The menu has evolved in a really good way over the years, with more variety and consistently great quality. The kids absolutely love the arepas here — especially the arepa con queso rallado and the cheese arepitas.

Most of the time I order the Arepa Pico e Gallo, which is an absolute must-try. My husband loves the Parrilla Pico e Gallo as well. And the new parrilla a la leña is honestly out of this world — incredible flavor, perfectly cooked, and one of the best things we’ve tried there recently.

Everything is flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. If you’re looking for authentic Venezuelan BBQ and comfort food with a warm atmosphere and consistently excellent food, this place is definitely worth visiting.“

“I had an incredible experience at Rancho Criollo. The flavors were absolutely mouthwatering, and the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. The variety of Latin-inspired dishes on the menu was just perfect, and the friendly staff made the whole experience even better . I highly recommend trying their delicious cachapas and grilled meats. “Atmosphere is 100/10. The spot is very local, Clearly, everyone knows each other, or from the area, which I love. The chef, Ian is incredible, really nice guy and straight to the point. I was torn between giving this place four or five stars because I haven’t had that much jerk chicken to compare it to, but I have had a decent amount of barbecue chicken. The chicken quality was awesome, the sauce was incredible, but the chicken itself was a little too burnt for my flavor. I still ate every last bite because it was delicious, but I can’t say it was the best chicken I’ve ever had. I still think this is a very worthy spot of checking out, just be prepared to wait a while, service is quite slow and can take up to half an hour if there are five people in front of you. I was told by somebody that the ribs are better Then the chicken, but I was not in the mood for ribs this time around“

“The best brisket I’ve ever had. I finished a half pound in the car on my way home. It was so delicious. And the sides?! Mac and cheese - amazing, cornbread- amazing and the rice was so good too. Jerry, you’re the man. You need to be entering some contests because you’d clean house. I’m coming back for those Dino ribs.“

“The bbq is very good, and the atmosphere is first responders and military- public service.
You place your order, then choose a place to sit. They yell out your name when it is ready, and you pick it up on a tray. I like the pulled pork sandwich, my husband's favorite is the moist brisket. They have good sides, like green beans with bacon, fries, corn bread, mac and cheese.
They have 4 sauces to choose from.
2 we like, 2 not so much. The meats are very good even without a sauce.
A little pricey, but worth it!

“In 2024, I participated in the Key2MIA tour, which took place around Juneteenth. One of the stops on the tour was “Meat the Veggies,” where I had the chance to try their food for the first time. I was blown away by their impressive presentation, beautifully set-up tent, and food truck. I was genuinely excited to try whatever they were offering, and thank goodness I did—it was absolutely delicious! Their mango chipotle sauce quickly became my favorite, and I even tagged and persistently reached out to them for months just to get more of it. I also tried their pulled oxtail meat, which was a solid 10/10. It’s a must-try, and I highly recommend it. I truly love this brand!“

“Y'all. I would say about 80% of the times we go to the Food Truck Festival at Pembroke Lakes Mall on Thursdays, it is to get food from Coop's Spot Food Truck! The wings and ribs are sooo good (the sides are really good too). We have yet to find a really worthy BBQ spot in Pembroke Pines, but Coops does it for us in the meantime! I think it's the smoke, and the Sweet & Spicy sauce. ;)I will say, it used to take FOREVER to get your food from them though (one time I waited over 45min!). But it appears they are organizing themselves much better now, and they started giving us a time estimate (now it's usually 15min). And it's worth it. :)“
