“Spots like this aren’t known for customer service but the food always makes up for it. The Legume is one of my favorites but haven’t had anything from here that I didn’t like. Great portions. Very small not many tables so I’d recommend take out option. You can also order in English which helps if you do not speak Haitian Creole.“

“Alamod Caribbean Restaurant is a hidden gem that truly deserves all five stars! The flavors are authentic, rich, and vibrant. The griot was perfectly seasoned, tender, and the pikliz added the perfect kick. The staff were warm and welcoming. The portions were very generous, and the prices were fair for the quality and experience . Alamod Caribbean Restaurant is a must-visit!“

“Great beautiful spot to try Haitian food. My first time and I was truly satisfied with the pork givot and the conch fritters. They give you huge portions btw!
It reminded me of Dominican food in a unique way. The atmosphere is also welcoming making it feel as if your in Haiti“

“Super casual restaurant with excellent food. This was my first time visiting Florida in over 15 years. So I had to get some Haitian food. This place didn't disappoint at all. The food was hot and fresh. The portions were over-sized in my opinion. Lot's of food if you're a heavy eater. So no complaints from me. I had the Snapper and ot was marinated to perfection!. The rice was good too. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. 10 out of 10 totally recommend!!“

“This place right here is my favorite Haitian restaurant! Now that their Miami location has closed, I still make the commute here to get my fix. They have all the classic dishes, from griot all the way to lalo on Thursdays. You must dine in if you can. The staff is so welcoming and nice. The food presentation is immaculate. If you're a fan of mac and cheese, you must try the mac. Please be patient, as the food is very fresh and may take some time to come out. But just vibe to the Haitian music while you wait, and you'll be okay.“

“The attention to the customer was amazing . they got chill music but not too loud where you cant hear the people around you. The ambience is super chill . Now let me talk about the food !!! 5 stars is really 5 stars . The food was full of flavor the rice tasted amazing the steak was tender and juicy !!! The quesadilla was full of flavor super juicy ! We had homemade passion fruit juice it was super tasteful !
And the best part was the price we both ate for under 50$ .
Come and try it ! This was too good definitely coming back !!!!“

“My family and I wanted to try a Haitian restaurant while we were in Miami. We ordered 2 family packs and the sampler. The food was so delicious and plentiful that we ate it for dinner AND breakfast. The restaurant also called us to let us know that they were out of an item we had ordered. When we were on the plane back to the Memphis area, my father said he wished he could have taken the leftovers back to Memphis. A+++ Food and customer service was great!“

“I wanted to find someone who could cook authentic Haitian food for my girlfriend's birthday. I called Mumis and spoke with Nina. She carefully heard my requests and told me they'd be happy to do this for me.
Everything turned out great! We swapped out white rice for diri djondjon. I'm American, so I'm just happy to try new foods. While my American tastebuds might be more lenient than Haitian those of Haitian folks, I gotta say everything was spot-on.
They even threw in Jupinas for us. My only regret is not taking photos of our meal before chowing down.
Thank you Nina and Mumis Cuisine for helping to make my girlfriend's birthday dinner amazing.“

“During a recent stay at the Marriott Turnpike in Miami before a cruise, I made it a mission to find some good Haitian food. The search turned into a bit of an adventure! After a 45-minute drive north to North Miami, and a slight detour after finding out another restaurant was still cooking their rice, I finally stumbled upon St. Hilaire Family Restaurant.
And let me tell you, it was worth the trip – and my wife, who absolutely loves and knows how to cook Haitian food, agreed! We both loved the perfectly seasoned goat and fried pork. The flavors were spot on, truly reminiscent of home-cooked meals. The meat was tender and juicy. We also enjoyed the rice and beans.
The only minor issue was that the portion of sauce for the rice was a bit small, and unfortunately, most of it spilled in the bag. However, this was a small hiccup compared to the overall quality of the food.
I would highly recommend St. Hilaire Family Restaurant to anyone craving a genuine taste of Haitian cuisine. It definitely satisfied my longing for those familiar flavors, and my wife was equally impressed. We will absolutely be returning the next time we are in the Miami area for our next cruise.“

“This small Haitian spot is takeout-only. All orders take about 25-30 minutes, which is good because you know it’s freshly prepared, but consider calling in advance if you don’t want to wait. While there’s no ambience, there’s chairs to wait in, and the staff is friendly and helped me pick out a variety to try. The spicing and preparation were good, but a bit salty for my (non-Haitian) palette. Overall I’d love to come back to try the rest of the menu when I’m back in the area.
Parking: A handful of spots are available by pulling into the driveway in front of the building. This is directly off of a fairly busy road without street parking.“

“This little spot got all my stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this authentic Haitian food was so satisfying. The white rice looked and taste great. The fried plantain was soft. The griot was freshly made. Overall the food taste was amazing!! My plate was stacked with food I even had leftover for the next day.
I had to leave a couple of dollars in the tip jar because i knew I was going to have a great dinner!“

“I was in the area, googled Haitian food, went there, had stewed turkey- rice & peas. Loved it. Nice family owned place! I was very happy when I saw an older lady come walking out the back to go home. Probably the grandma cooking.“

“Stopped by here on my way back to Tampa. The griot was honestly the best thing I had. The legume was not what I expected, but it was good. Service was ok and our food came out promptly. The rice and peas was ok as well. The bathroom was not the best and had no soap to wash hands. Overall I would return for the griot. It was crispy, juicy and well seasoned. Serving size was also fantastic. One plate could feed you for a few days. With some minor changes, this place would be top tier.“

“10000/10 so consistent, the food never changes and it’s good every time. I love this place it’s the best Haitian restaurant ever! I’m not Haitian but I love this place. The customer service could be a bit better they’ve forgotten plantains/sos pwa a few times but overall they have amazing food.“

“I was introduced to Le Cap, a Haitian cuisine gem in North Miami, by a friend, and I've been hooked ever since, making the 40-minute drive from Margate just for a taste. Usually, I go for the boulette (fried meatballs), which I firmly believe are the best in South Florida. This time, I decided to try the poulet en sauce (stewed chicken). The portion was generous, and the flavor, as always, did not disappoint. The food is delectable, and the experience is worth both the drive and the money.“

“This place has the best Lambi / Conch in Florida, it tasted so fresh like it came straight from the island. And the way they season the conch is so good!
I also had some plantains, they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. Everything tasted homemade and authentic. Just delicious! I can't wait to try Le Cordon Bleu's food again. The rice is good too!
If you are Haitian or Bahamian or you just like good food you needs to stop by like TODAYYYY you're missing out!“

“I love this Haitian spot in my opinion the food here is always super good. Me and my boyfriend always come here because we crave it! The pikliz and plantains are my favorite. And every plate I’ve gotten I’ve liked. Definitely recommend! They usually always have people there waiting for their food orders because this place has became a popular favored spot for others as well. The chicken plate is the best! And portion sizes are really good.“

“Yum!!! We were excited to try Haitian food after trying Cuban food. I prefer the Haitian food as it was good for the first helping and excellent the next day. We got so much chicken and legume from this wonderful takeout restaurant that we had enough for dinner, breakfast, and then lunch on the plane to Puerto Rico! I made the mistake of ordering legume thinking it would be beans but it was not a bad mistake as it was an amazing stew. Loved the boiled plantains and the rice is incredible. Loved the meat spices that are subtle and the lack of salt which I felt the Cuban food was way too salt forward though had more depth of flavor. The neighborhood and the place might look sketchy but you don’t need to worry at all! I highly recommend you try the food here.“

“Berny’s Kitchen food is delicious, but one thing they need to work on is how long, they take to give the food. Took 1hour to get the food.“

“North Miami Haitian Food Staple! They definitely with the times too because most Haitian restaurants even if you call in advanced they’ll still wait for you to get there to start making it, not L’Auberge! You call, show up 15-20min later and you’re foods ready! Delicious cuisine like Griot, Legume, Haitian Spaghetti & more! You’re greeted with warmth and welcome and feel right at home.“

“We wanted traditional Haitian/Caribbean food and this place has it. You know this when everyone in the place (except us) were from the Caribbean. Everything is so good! I had the Mixed Veggies, which is a kind of stew made with meat bones. My husband had the fried chicken. Both come with plantains and rice. We had the black rice, a first to us, and it’s really good.“

“Bon Appetit has new owners and a new name. The food is EXCELLENT and the new owner is very friendly and kind. The restaurant has been very slow at the times I have visited. I believe the new owner is still working on the anesthetics for the restaurant to be more enticing to their patrons. This restaurant is worth you trying. You won't regret the authentic creole flavors of their menu.“

“I waited 45 min close to 1hr outside waiting patiently for my food after I placed the order over the phone. I mean all i order was something that would have been prepared cooked already. No frying, no baking, nothing like that. Then after 30 min the cashier finally said something. She asked me what I order I told her, she said with a polite voice is coming usually it take about 15 min, but I've been waiting for that long and more. Man I was so disappointed 😞 I mean I love that spot. The food is good. I couldn't believe i waiting that long. I should have left but I wanted to test to see how long after my 37 min would I get my food. Oh yeah by the way when they checked in the bag, they realized my food was there in the back of them all the while. Looked at me smiled and I don't think I heard I'm sorry, or here a free drink. Nothing.... jezzz thank!!“

“Delicious food , friendly staff and the service is really fast“
“Honestly, if I had to give it a score on a scale of 1 to 10, it would be a 9. The lady was super friendly, the food was freshly made and cooked well. I ordered the chicken special with French fries and everything was delicious, a very good price. The only thing I kind of complain about is that the wait times are long, but there was only one person doing everything, so it's understandable.“
“Are you looking for a Haitian restaurant where you can finally sit, eat, and not leave with your clothes smelling like you work in the kitchen? La Gourmandize is where you should go. The atmosphere is welcoming, the location is meticulously clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I actually was able to conduct a business meeting there today and not worry about if my client’s clothing was going to smell like “épice” (Haitian spice). I ordered “fritay” (Hatitian sample platter). It had “akra” (fried-Haitian-finger-food), “bannann pézé” (fried plantains), “griot” (fried pork), and a side salad. You probably thought I forgot about the “Pikliz” (Haitian hot sauce)? It was some of the freshest servings of pikliz I’ve had. Although it was a fried food platter, the serving wasn’t drenched in oil. The Akra and bannann pézé were crispy, not overcooked, and well seasoned. The griot was well prepared, soft, and well spiced. I highly recommended this place if you’re in the mood for some authentic Haitian cuisine.“

“I come here all the time to get griot and rice beans with fried plantains and its always hot fresh and delicious. Plus i love that they give a good amount of griot for an affordable price compared to other Haitian restaurants. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall but those are where you get the best food! Definitely recommend“
“I'll update this review as I keep trying this place, but so far, 4 stars from me. I ordered through Grubhub and got the Griot meal. The rice and bean sauce was pretty good, and the meat was crispy outside and tender inside. It could use more flavor, but the gravy and pikliz more than made up for it.The reviews here are bad, but my order of Griot was good. Time will tell if they're consistent, and I'll check out other dishes.“
