“A plus if you speak and understand espanol as that is the primary form of communication here. Stopped in the evening for a game of pool, they have 2 tables. Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

“Just left Maam’s soooo satisfied. Don’t let the dated exterior/interior fool you. The food was amazing. Customer service was excellent. The food area was immaculate. I’d been craving oxtail after so many posts on TikTok and found Maam’s on google. The gentleman that took our order and served us was so nice and welcoming. He was patient with questions and let us taste 3 types of the chicken as we’ve never been there and caught on that my son had a sensitive stomach. The oxtail and the gravy was so tender and delicious as well as the jerk chicken was bursting with wonderful flavors. I got the Jamaican rice w peas and he poured the oxtail gravy all over it. I can eat that all by itself, that rice is very special. Huge portions also, I could not finish the plate. The cabbage salad that they serve w the plate was super fresh and crisp with the light sweet/sour flavor of whatever they use for dressing. Kinda rice wine vinegar vibes. I had the Mixed Veggies, which is a kind of stew made with meat bones. My husband had the fried chicken. Both come with plantains and rice. We had the black rice, a first to us, and it’s really good.“
