“The food at El Metropol Miami was out of this world. We’ve gone to the Puerto Rico locations and this one is at par or even better. This will be our new first stop when returning to Miami. Perfect blend of Cuban and Puerto Rican culture just like our family. Service was so friendly and professional, felt like you were talking to an old friend. “If you want AUTHENTIC, delicious, satisfying Jamaican food that tastes like home. This is maybe the only place in Miami area to get it. It takes a long time to get the food so you have to call ahead and this is because they're making it from scratch fresh. It's definitely a hole in the wall, which is why I gave the atmosphere a 4, but it's nostalgic and a place for us as jamaicans to coalesce and feel at home. Love the owners as they are very hospitable and welcoming. This is a place that I can trust the food will be good everytime. Thank you for tasting like home !“

Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

“We wanted traditional Haitian/Caribbean food and this place has it. You know this when everyone in the place (except us) were from the Caribbean. Everything is so good! I had the Mixed Veggies, which is a kind of stew made with meat bones. My husband had the fried chicken. Both come with plantains and rice. We had the black rice, a first to us, and it’s really good.“

“The food here is very good and the servers are so kind. The only thing that I really didn't like is that they don't really check up on you until you are completed with your meal. The area is so beautiful but I think it is in a strange spot because it is in the lobby of the Marriott. The Hurricane Drink that I had was not mixed well and it had WAY too much alcohol in it and not a good mix of everything else. My husband had the burger and he said it honestly isn't anything to write home about and I ended up with the alfredo which really wasn't that bad at all. Would I recommend this place? Maybe if you were in a hurry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise it honestly is just average.“
