Not a large place, but large enough for a small to 20ish person gathering, seemed like they just had beer, but at good prices $4 for a modelo and the service was fantastic. They treat you like family. Not a super large parking lot, so if you come at a busier time I think you might have to find on street parking.“

“I’m from Texas and we have Jamaican restaurants, but saying that feels disrespectful after eating here. This was the first spot I came to as soon as I landed in Miami and boy let me tell you. I was sweating, making mouth noise sounds, sniffling from the spices, licking my fingers due to destroying the napkins. As a Hispanic man who loves everything season, beans and grilled chicken, Maam’s Jamaican will be my go to every time I visit Miami.

The portions are loaded, the quality is amazing, and topped it off with a bomb drink called Ting.“

“The food here is very good and the servers are so kind. The only thing that I really didn't like is that they don't really check up on you until you are completed with your meal. The area is so beautiful but I think it is in a strange spot because it is in the lobby of the Marriott. The Hurricane Drink that I had was not mixed well and it had WAY too much alcohol in it and not a good mix of everything else. My husband had the burger and he said it honestly isn't anything to write home about and I ended up with the alfredo which really wasn't that bad at all. Would I recommend this place? Maybe if you were in a hurry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise it honestly is just average.“

I had the Mixed Veggies, which is a kind of stew made with meat bones. My husband had the fried chicken. Both come with plantains and rice.
