“We recently got married in Key Largo and hired Dade County Food Group for 3 different events, a welcome party, the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding reception. They were absolutely amazing in every way. If you are reading this, you are probably considering them for some type of event. Hire them and don't look back, you won't regret it.From initially working on the menu, to making constant tweaks to it, they made everything before our wedding weekend very easy. Once the weekend hit, they did everything they said they would and more. We obviously had a lot of other things going on so it was nice to never have to worry about the food. They showed up when they said they would with everything they needed. Then, most importantly, the food was amazing! We had a BBQ buffet, a taco buffet, and then several other buffet options for the wedding reception. Everything was delicious and all of our guests said the same thing.We also had them provide bartenders for the wedding reception and the bartenders were a huge hit! The drinks were great and there was never a line at the bar.If you've read this far, I will say again, hire them and don't look back!“

We had many delicious passed hors d'oeuvres, but I still dream about the bacon wrapped maduros (sweet plantains). Lastly, the dinner (churrasco steak and yucca crusted mahi) was phenomenal. Again, it was so impressive that the quality did not falter while they cooked large volumes of food. This is another factor that sets Bill Hansen apart from any other caterers I have experienced. (My guests STILL talk to me about how good the food was and my wedding was over a month ago!)Lastly, one unique thing that I requested from Sandra was that she provide iced tea to my mom (who drinks iced tea constantly!!) for the wedding day. When we showed up to the event, Sandra had a vat of perfectly brewed iced tea. My daughter got married a few days ago and everything was absolutely perfect - in large part because of the venue we chose for the reception...The Coco Plum. The venue is historic, making it beautiful and very cozy. We had considered a hotel but when we went to The Coco Plum there was no hotel that could possibly offer the vibe that Coco Plum offers. In addition, the staff is incredible starting with the Senior Event Coordinator, Rosie Hayden. Rosie is loving, understanding, full of great ideas, and most importantly always aims to please the bride. She understood our vision and executed it to perfection. The food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers tasted fresh and just-made and the food arrived at the tables warm. The Chef not only provided a tasty meal but was also extremely nice. As the mother of the bride, I was running around and did not get a chance to try the hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and when he found out he went and made me some. I was tasked to find a local caterer not knowing the area I just checked reviews on the web 2 days prior. The best decision I ever made was choosing Harvey's barbecue kitchen. The manager Natalie Alexander replied promptly to my request for this large last-minute catering for 54 people. Professional and courteous, she guided me through the application process in a way that made me feel comfortable. I had one hiccup with the delivery location, which, let me tell you was not even an issue because the delivery person "Carla" went above and beyond to make sure that I had our order on time and still hot. She even let me HAVE THE THERMAL delivery bag to keep my food exceptionally hot while we journeyed the additional 1 hour to the venue. Carla was amazing and so kind. She provided last minute instructions for the food and was gone. My family's response "Best food ever". This was real chicken like your mama made on the barbecue in the backyard. Soooo .. good ! The chicken was succulent, the sauce was flavorful, the coleslaw was light and refreshing. Do yourself a favor! Don't hesitate to call Harvey's BBQ kitchen for your catering, if you are ever in the Miami or Homestead Florida area. We enjoyed every single bite. It was truly delicious.
