Living in Miami 10 years I've been searching for real authentic New York style Chinese food. I've searched everywhere. Something was always off. Either the rice, the sauce, the crappy fried wontons, the soup you name it there was always something wrong. I almost gave up.
Thank God I didn't! THIS IS A SPOT THAT HAS AUTHENTIC NEW YORK STYLE CHINESE FOOD.
DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ANYPLACE ELSE!
Everything was absolutely fantastic..
The ribs.. the rice was phenomenal... Pepper steak and onion was absolutely perfect..
Crab rangoons 10 out of 10.
And my favorite.. fried meat wontons..
We're good but not great. I like mines a little soft not too fried but the taste was on point.

“La Estrella feels very familiar, at least the atmosphere of the restaurant, the staff and most of all the food. It’s almost ripped out of el barrio chino in Cuba, truly nostalgic. They prefer cash payments, as tip for anyone who is looking at the reviews. The food is amazing every time, very fresh, comes out quickly and is great for pick-up on a night that cooking dinner seems like too much. It’s a great spot for Chinese food, and you can always count on them giving you the free crispy small noodle bits on the side, I’d die for those things. Overall amazing place, support your local businesses.“

“They had a $10 special. The meal came with stew, chicken rice, and beans. It was very delicious and flavorful. The rice was cooked perfect and the beans complimented the rice very well.

The only negative to the food was the portion, but I guess since it was $10 you get what you pay for.

“I came to this restaurant due to the hype on social media because of their authentic food. I decided to come and try it with a friend and it did not disappoint.

As soon as you’re seated, you get offered hot tea and water. The hot tea is good. The waiter provided some great suggestions. The only thing is that we did have to request the chow mein noodles, when it was offered to the other tables.

To eat, I tried the fried shrimp taro cake, fried crab rangoon, pan fried pork dumplings and special lomein. The fried shrimp taro cake was the best thing I’ve tried that day. It was delicious and I could eat this all day, everyday. The fried crab rangoon was also delicious and I will definitely order it again. The pork dumplings were tasty too. The special lomein had pork, chicken and shrimp and it was very good. It also came with white rice, which was had no seasoning, but that was expected. The special lomein is definitely a shareable dish.

Overall, the service was good and the food was very tasty. I was also very surprised how affordable it was. This is definitely a place I would return when I’m craving Chinese food.“

Food was very good, portions were good and price is good to and it came with choice of soda , my bill was 9.58 including taxes and I attached pictures of my meal , menu , and inside of take out place . “Went in trying to get the parties which was sold out, and ended up getting Jeff with broccoli combo, and fried chicken wings. Wings are one of the best I’ve had from a Chinese takeout and the rice was really good! I’ll be going back for sure!“

“In the last 2 weeks I’ve been here 3 times; first time I had the General Tso chicken lunch special. It was pretty good, a little on the sweet side, but delicious. I ordered the special fried rice with it instead of just the pork fried rice, and the taste was good. A little lacking on the meat side; small pieces instead of chunks of meat. I also ordered the krab rangoons, and they were great! The last 2 times I’ve been here I ordered the Mongolian Beef plate, and it is by far the best Mongolian beef I’ve had in a LONG time… this last time I ordered it extra spicy, and it was phenomenal. Was gonna give a 4 star review because of the rice, but the Mongolian beef was top notch! Will be back again for sure“

“This is like my 3rd time coming here and oh my goodness, the shrimp Lo Mein & the krab Rangoon is amazingggg. The Lo mein itself is full and so much flavorful and moist well coated with sauce etc. I love the vegetable that is included!

I ordered appetizers for myself (krab rangoon) and my co-worker wanted to try it and now she also fell in love that she had to order her one today. I’m thankful that I have something to eat on with different varieties of choices by my job (Snappers).

Lastly I want to add is the woman who taking my order were very nice/sweet and helpful! Loves her service“

They have finally renovated the bathrooms! Now it will be so much nicer if they renovated the main dining area. The food is already amazing and the service great. Renovate the place and your ratings will definitely go up.
