“Having grown up in Miami, Cuban food is natural to me and it is always good to get back to it from time to time. La Carreta is part of the Valls Group which also owns the iconic Versalles Restaurant on Calle Ocho in Miami. I ordered the Cuban Sampler Plate which was an excellent choice for those wanting to try it all. A tad too much Salt in the Picadillo and the need for a tiny bit more moisture in everything else, but this is nitpicking. La Carrata sets the standard for Cuban fare.“

“I went to Chulis Bakery for breakfast because a friend recommended the place, and I have to say the food is amazing! The pastries are super fresh, and I highly recommend trying the guava and cheese and coconut pastries they were my family’s favorites. The owner, Evelio, is a very kind and attentive person who clearly cares about keeping the place clean and welcoming. The staff is also incredibly friendly. If you're looking for great service and a quality breakfast, you have to come to Chulis Bakery!“

“I love this restaurant. The food was delicious. We had the white rice, black beans, ripe plantains, and Cuban chicken. The appetizers were amazing. The appetizer which consisted of croquettes, Cuban tamal, yucas, and fried plantains were enjoyed by everyone in our group. We were a party of about 14 people and everyone enjoyed their delicious food. We will definitely be back.“

Had an absolutely delicious Cuban sandwich with suckling pig meat and ham. My dad had a mofongo looking dish, that he enjoyed.
There was only one young woman actually working, and even though we were the only customers, we felt rushed to order. Mightve been a language barrier as we stated we needed a minute and she asked a few seconds later.
Then two drunk guys had her attention even they didn't buy anything, and it took forever to get the check. Only other employee sat at the register and didn't look up from his phone once.
Great food, but for those prices and lack of patrons, the service should be better. Was over $40 for two meals and two sodas.“

Before I left I decided to grab something to go.My goodness this place had the best croquettes I’ve had in all of Miami-Dade.I could not believe that I got three croquettes, freshly squeezed orange juice and Colada for $10.Definitely will be going back.Let’s not forget the staff, amazingly kind.I recommend to all to go here when I’m the area. You will thank me later.“
