“We dined here a few days ago, and WOW, the food was amazing! I had the maple-glazed salmon with sweet potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious. I was equally impressed by our server, Kara. She truly went above and beyond. When I asked if the brownies had nuts, since I do not care for them, she made a point to ask if I had a peanut allergy to make sure I would be safe. It showed a level of care that you rarely see. The owner also stopped by our table to greet us, which was a very nice personal touch. Between the excellent service, the quality of the food, and the owner's presence, this restaurant creates a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be returning again and again!“

“Monday Night I took the plunge because of the wonderful reviews on her to Dugout Cafe. We were a party of six. We walked in and were not impressed with the decor. We shortly found out it didn't matter. The food.. THE FOOD!!!! Here is what people had. Special Smash Burger, Pot Roast, Salisbury Steak, Pork Chops, Chicken Fried chicken with Gravy, Friend Chicken Special. EVERYONE LOVED their food!!! The waitress who is the dsughter of the Mom and Pop in the kitchen was lovely aqnd totally on top of the table. We couldn't have left any happier, and all vowed to come back. THANKS DUGOUT CAFE!!!“

“Went there Sunday night, with a large party for a birthday. Our waiter was on point. I made a joke as to the screw up on food, seeing I have no filter, not sure if it was taken wrong. However, it was made right, bit it was disappointing that the original steak I ordered was medium rare and the second one arrived well done. Again the service was accommodating, yet by this time everyone else was finishing up with dessert. I will love to go back, and i will. The only downfall was that my entree was a special and not served all the time. Hence the 4 stars on communication and delivery of food. BTW, the bacon and eggs was delicious and will order again.“

“My wife and I are both Key Lime Pie fanatics. We have had it all over the Keys and S Florida and we both agree that Flo's, hands down, is the best we have ever had. I cant wait to get back to Sarasota to get another one!
We were staying in Venice and went out to eat in Sarasota and saw the sign on 41 in our way to the restaurant.
After dinner, I checked their website to see what time they closed. We would barely make it. I called and told them I needed a pie but might not make it by closing. The young man assured me it would be waiting at the register at whatever time we arrived. True to his word, he had it ready and waiting 5 minutes after closing when I arrived.

She said she'd be right back for order. 15 minutes later others were seated, and actually served. Our waitress rook the order fir a couple who had just been seated and then took ours. I complained to the hostess who took off our coffees. The waitress apologized for serving the other couple first. She didn't understand that we had waited an additional 20 minutes to PLACE our order. I never complain, I've been wait staff. The wait staff there has always been fabulous until today. She is clueless.“
