“We bought some quick bites at Glades Café located inside of the Miccosukee Service Station. This palce was clean and the menus (fried chicken with French fries) were fresh.”
“Disgusting service! The woman making the coffee was very sick, coughing into her shirt. When I mentioned to the cashier who actually forgot to take my money so I had to remind me ( he thanked me), the woman who was sick started laughing with the other women there at me.I am elderly and have a difficult time walking.I left a tip before this happened.I even asked the woman if she was sick. It was obvious she was and had no business handling people's food! She said no in a low voice almost inaudible.I have been coming to this Dunkin Donuts very often. I have never been treated in such a rude and crude manner as I was today.I am helping these young people put food on their table!I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!!!!!P.S. In my younger years, I was a manager at a Dunkin Donuts. If I ever heard an employee speaking rudely to a customer or laughing at a customer, which none of the employees who worked under me ever did, they would be fired on the spot. Also my employees were sent home if they were sick.My advice is don't waste your hard earned money at this Dunkin Donuts!I will be speaking with corporate tomorrow regarding this matter, don't you worry.”
“Talk about great food, atmosphere, and service! Andres was super helpful and excited about explaining the options and I can honestly say the 1.5 hour drive here was worth it! The gator bites were amazing!”
“This was our first time to eat here. Everything was good. The people were friendly. The food was good. My complaint for my seafood basket is I had a ton of fries (which was great) but I only received four gator bites and three frog legs (I didn't even get four legs which I think would add up for at least two frogs, right?) But the food was good and the beer was COLD!”
“Stopped in here today with only 20 minutes to spare before we had to check in for our boat tour. The waitress that served us was absolutely the best service I have encountered in 5 trips to the USA. Friendly, helpful and payed special attention to my gluten free requirements. The food was probably the best cafe/diner food we have had in the States. My entire family said it was the best food they have had from the cheeseburger to the wraps and subs or even my GF chicken salad. I can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing staff and amazing food. If you are in the area do yourself a favour and grab a burger here before your fan boat ride.”
“Always love fishing in Chokoloskee. I'm glad we tried Hole in the Wall Pizza this trip. Both pizzas we bought were really good. We will definitely be back next trip.”
“Awesome down to earth people! Tons of supplies, great beer, and frankly the best place in SW Florida! Don’t hesitate to stop in and chat, they’ll welcome you with open arms. If you chat for a bit they might let some “secrets” out on where to fish.”
“Great place to grab some food- wife and I stopped here after a morning of airboat rides and swamp buggy tours. I had a Cuban sandwich - it was hot, fresh, and came out quickly. We'll be back next time we're in town for sure!”
“Great place to have food and drinks. A very enjoyable atmosphere. Employees go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. A must see..Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu with a lot of options.”
“Ordered snapper sand and it was the mahi. Still good but annoying. They were also out of stone crab which was crazy they didn’t have a server run over to the grocery store and get more. Overall the place is on a great spot and I totally get they had a rush so the staff were great considering!”
“My husband and I decided to take a ride on a rainy Sunday afternoon down to Everglades City to see what was there. We decided to stop and try the Diving Pelican for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. From the first greeting from Julie (a.k.a. Jules) as we walked in the door, all the way until we were finished eating and left, we fell in love with this spectacular restaurant. My husband had the shrimp basket (locally wild caught) with the black beans and rice. He said it was the best he had ever had. There were lots of wonderful choices on the menu for the seafood lovers, and plenty of other non-seafood options for those that are not such a seafood fan (like me). I had the steak sandwich and it was delicious. The service was top notch and friendly. The atmosphere was well planned and executed. The inside was very quaint the pretty. I would definitely recommend the Diving Pelican!!”
“Excellent local, Barbara gave us great service, food was great, the burger was great for a seafood restaurant! Will return soon!Walkability: Flew into the airport, .9 mile walk.”

“Had a great first time experience at Joanies yesterday. Took a day-cation down the tamiami to see alligators, and im so happy we stopped in. Loved the atmosphere and the staff, and especially the food. We ordered fried green tomatoes, gator, crab cakes, and keylime pie. With every bite you could taste how fresh everything was. And i absolutely loved the keylime pie, one of the best ive had here in Florida. We will definitely be back. Wish i woulda got my waitresses name i really liked her.”
