“I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone in or around Orlando with a taste for Latin food. My wife found it while planning our trip to Orlando and it’s been the dining highlight of our trip. We started with the Jaleita and some cocktails and split the Parilla Mixta for dinner. Traditional Latin food perfectly cooked yet seasoned with a decidedly unique flavor and style. “Service was great. All.of the food pictured was single portions and shared by two people. We still had enough for dinner later and lunch the next day!! It took longer than I expected for the entrees to be ready, considering that it was early dinner on a Monday, so there weren't all that many other patrons there yet. “I want to start off by saying that I walked into this restaurant 30 minutes before it closed. I know that I was the jerk in this situation. I had a bad day at work and really wanted to try raw oysters for the first time. The staff at Hook & Reel were so accommodating. The staff didn't make it feel like they were closing for one second. The customer service from my server, whose name was Drina (sorry, I dont know the spelling), was out of this world. The guest service that I received was classic Disney quality. The attention and experience we received were exemplary. It is hard to believe that I enjoyed myself this much when I walked in to a return 30 mins before we closed. Even if you don't like sea food, eat here, have fun, and enjoy the experience of what prioritizing customer service looks like.“

“My wife and I went to this place for date night. The building it is in, was unexpected. You honestly wouldn’t know it was there but boy was I glad I found this place. We ordered baked oysters, stuffed mushrooms, jambalaya, seafood boil with brown butter, copious different wines and drinks, and dessert which was a limoncello mascarpone cake. “Worst experience and we are regulars. chose to spend my 40th here, an hour and 40 min away..the upstairs bartender was AWFUL. she served others around us that just walked up..this happened over and over for 15.min. only 7 people at the bar.... ..When I question she stated "it's easier because they walk up right in front of me(we were in front od her)." Cam was awful as a server and extremely rude and condescending. . By far the worst experience we have had from start to finish. We won't return.. so sad..it's gone downhill.“

The most important piece of this was that she didn't try and sell me on the most expensive wine either. She gave me options and suggested her favorites based upon my pallet with some variety. “The food was great and the service excellent. I had the bangers and mash with the onion gravy...highly recommended! Hubs had the steak and mushroom pie and he said it was good. The only two downsides of the place was the broken clutter laying around and the very dim lighting in the ladies room. We will definitely return next time we are in town. “The atmosphere really transports you to an island , even if you’ve never been here before you feel the Caribbean experience , the music had us dancing all night and the food was amazing , things I had never tried before , especially the wings it’s definitely a spot to have a nice vibe with friends or family after work or even on the weekends… definitely will be back.“

“My friend and I went this past weekend and we got the VIP experience, so we were able to go into the ice lounge and see what it's like and be in the fire lounge. The ice lounge is really cute they have rugs to sit on since everything is made of ice including the cups. In the fire lounge our bartender Lynn was great she recommended her favorite drinks and help with food and it was a great experience and worth the price. We were able to go back in the ice lounge the whole night. Music was great would definitely go again!“

“This trip we tried Otter's Fizzy Orange. It is a light orange drink that was heavier on the cinnamon than we thought. Texture is similar to an emergen-c effervescent drink. Flavor is thankfully better and reminded us of apple pie (if you replaced the apple with orange). Brown sugar cinnamon on the rim. Bottom was more concentrated vanilla but only tasted the sugar. Great that it is a gluten free option. Definitely not as iconic as a butter beer. Recommend having someone to share it with because it is very sweet. Presentation is nice. Think of it as a mocktail.“

“2AT the best live band I've heard in a long time! We loved the live music, perfect crispy wings not soggy, drinks and service. Not a fan of loud music at noon on a hot Saturday, but sound settings were perfect. My teenage kids sang along all the songs, most from my time.
