The food was great, awesome drinks, and Corbin was an awesome person who helped me out tremendously along side Blake. “We came in on a trivia night, which was unbeknownst to us ahead of time. The trivia host was engaging and fun, and the facility was clean with nice pool tables. Our bartender, Matt, made wonderful local beer recommendations and was attentive and friendly. Any company would be lucky to have him. Lastly, the beer selection was fantastic and properly geared towards Irish brews. Very happy to have stopped by!“

“One of my new favorite bars in Orlando and prob my favorite place to drink in the College Park area, customer service is always great, the bartenders and the managers are very attentive and walk around the bar checking by on people. It is attached to the a big food hall, so you have plenty of choice for food. They show almost every sporting event including UFC so its great for sports fans. I only wish the bar could be bigger but they did great with the space they have!“

A surprise moment occurred when the Weasley-costumed guests we saw yesterday appeared and joined us at our table. They were Americans from the Midwest who come very often to the park in their Weasley disguise.“

“I was looking for live music and loved my night at Howl at the Moon Orlando! The dueling pianos were a blast—nonstop energy, and they played many of my favorite songs and a few new ones. The staff was super friendly and had some great non-alcoholic drink options. The smallest drink was enough for me, so it was a good value for a night of blissful entertainment. The crowd was so much fun, including a few international tourists dancing around and just adding to the good times. It is the perfect spot for a lively night out. I can’t wait to come back!“

“My favorite thing to do here is find out a specialty drink for a holiday event and spam order as many of those as possible during my vacation.

The shark attack isn't my favorite drink, but it's my favorite to order to see the show. I rarely catch Merv here, but there's a wonderful lady who has served me many times and I hate I can't remember her name, but she gives great service and had a great attitude every time I see her.

I love that this bar is outside and you can choose to see near the water. If I decide to eat any snacks from the candy store I'll compliment them with a drink from here and then get a seat and relax for a bit.

“I stayed at The Hard Rock for 4 nights to celebrate my birthday in June, and Anthony, the bartender, truly made the trip unforgettable. From the first night, he was welcoming, fun to talk to, and mixed some of the best cocktails I’ve had. He not only remembered my favorite drinks but also recommended a few new ones that quickly became favorites.

What stood out even more was how much he cared about making the experience special. Anthony gave me great food recommendations around the resort, and on the night of my birthday he surprised me by sending an assortment of snacks up to my room. It was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel celebrated and really added to the whole trip.

Anthony goes above and beyond—great drinks, great conversation, and genuinely top-notch service. If you’re at The Hard Rock, or enjoying the universal parks or resort, do yourself a favor and spend some time at the bar with him. He was there the last time we stayed there for my birthday as well. He’s the best.“

“What to get: lamb chops, scallops, beef short ribs. What to avoid: octopus (overdone/dry), calamari (generic/poor tasting batter), farmer cheese board (tastes like whipped Greek yogurt). The reason I rated it 5 stars is for the light show and wait staff are nice. Make a reservation for 8:15, no matter where you sit, by 9 everyone goes out to watch the light show on the balcony.“

“Steven at the watering hole is absolutely amazing, charismatic, and an amazing way to get us started on our universal experience.

He was extremely helpful, gave us information and suggestions. The drinks were well worth the price and I am glad that we ran into this location.

We will certainly be returning, and Steven deserves a raise for going above and beyond. Employees as charismatic as Steven are hard to find.“

“Excellent bar service with well-crafted, made-to-order cocktails (no batched drinks), and drinks can be ordered to go. The menu appears to rotate, and the Marshmallow Old Fashioned was especially good.

One note: the menu image someone posted has outdated pricing. One drink was $17, but most were $18–$23. Some of the higher-priced cocktails come in plastic souvenir cups, which may not appeal if you don’t want to carry a sticky plastic cup around all day.

We also ordered several food items. The biscuits were delightful, the mango bread was fantastic, and the chicken was tender and falling off the bone. The meat platter was tasty but felt a bit pricey for the portion (one chicken leg with a small amount of pork). We upgraded with the mac and cheese, which was creamy and delicious, and appreciated having a non-fried option despite wishing the meat portion was larger.“

“Have been to Dockside & Surfside..been to Dockside few times, but until we tried Surfside… NOTHING COMPARES!!! Yes, it’s a smaller hotel, but the atmosphere much cozier, quieter, check in much more SMOOTHLY, staff so friendly, & the bar at the pool… no questions about it… such a fun friendly bar staff!! My daughter & I stay here at Surfside every time we are in Orlando,which we are here often(we live in Sarasota) every time we visit… bar staff Joe Andy, Garrett, & Brittney, remembers us… might not remember our names, but knows our faces, etc… Dockside bar & staff I’m not saying they’re not friendly… but service at at both hotel & bar absolutely not the same! All I can say… Dockside is ok, but SURFSIDE can’t say enough about them!!“

“Wife and I stop in every time we are at City Walk. Last time we were there about 6 months ago we asked the Manager Drew about the speakeasy we had heard about. He said it was not currently open. To our surprise, when we visited a couple weeks ago, Drew walked straight up to us with a big smile and handed us an invitation to the new speakeasy. He said he was really hoping we would come through again so we could see it. Upon arriving, and going through the secret ritual, we stood in line for a few minutes for a drink. We were patient, and thank God we were. The bartender Shane gave us the same time he gave the people ahead of us. He gave the most amazing tour of the drinks, offerings and food offered. He was amazing and gives each customer the experience they deserve. We were greeted outside at our table by a maitre' d' Cayden. He too was awesome. I highly recommend anyone going to Universal or City Walk to stop in and experience it. Truly amazing!“

“I wanted to leave a more recent review, and the experience I had at the bar, the service, and the drinks were all really high caliber. I think they got rid of the problematic staff mentioned in reviews from 6-9 months prior.

Anyway, I had the Tiki Punch and the signature Volcano Bay Cocktail (forget the name). The Tiki Punch was better, and less sweet which I appreciated. The glass is reusable at the bar for about a $3 discount on your next drink. The views from here are amazing, and with the shade is the perfect place to stop for a drink and even bring your food from the nearby counter service restaurant and eat!“

“Fun little back alley venue for beer butter beer and snacks. We had the daisyroot ale and the dragon scale. Both delicious. Ale very light and citrusy. Would be great on a hot summer day! Dragon scale was a little hoppy and had a lovely amber color. Recommend! Line doesn’t move too fast. At least not today. Very small but highly recommend!“
