“We were having a lazy Sunday and decided to grab a bite to eat after a long night. We live around the corner and hadn’t been in a while. Our server Jacqueline was wonderful. It was busy so she had many tables to tend to but still made sure to stop back frequently and make sure we were doing ok. The food was on point and we were happy and full when we left. My wife’s only complaint is y’all don’t have yellow American cheese.“

“I’m new to the area and this was my first time trying Juan Valez and I was not disappointed. I ordered an Americana with hazelnut and cream and two pastries: guava finger and ham & cheese bun. There was a young man training so it was a little slow but he was patient and courteous. The Americana was very hot and smooth. No bitterness at all. The ham and cheese was packed full of ham, soft and chewy pastry was perfect. The guava finger was crisp on the outside with gooey cheese and guava filling. Perfect savory/sweet treat. I will definitely return to try other coffees and pastries. Highly recommend you give them a try.“

“My 17 year old wanted her cake here! Their cakes are delicious but they branded hers with a white chocolate wafer with Fortuna Bakery on her birthday cake and I found that the only downfall. “A wonderful surprise otw home from a day in Orlando. I googled for some soul food and stumbled across this gem of a place while getting gas! It's a small little quaint restaurant with a new twist on authentic Haitian food and traditional recipes. They sliced their griot into thinner pieces which brings out the pork taste so much more (an idea I'll be incorporating into my own griot from now on) the legume meat was super tender and the veggies blended well. I preferred their white rice over the beans and rice, but the accompanying red sauce grabbed for the rice and beans made a greT union in my mouth. If you're new to Haitian food or want a true taste of what that good Haitian cooking is like then this place is a MUST STOP whenever you're in the area. Couldn't give them a 5 star bc I asked for black rice, they confirmed it three times and still gave me rice and beans lol.
