“We had no idea what to expect when we arrived here. The arrival at Portofino Bay transported us to another place. It is such a beautiful setting. We ate the last night of the Magical Menu, an Orlando promotion that begins in August and ends the last day of September. There was a set 3-course menu with options for each course. My wife chose Caesar salad, grilled salmon with risotto, and raspberry gelato. The salad was very fresh and crispy. The salmon was grilled and seasoned perfectly, the risotto was super creamy, and the gelato exceeded her expectations. I ordered the calamari, chicken Parmesano with whole wheat spaghetti, and chocolate cannoli. The food was served immediately following preparation ensuring our meal was the perfect temperature. The calamari was fresh and crispy; the parm was superb and the sauce blew my mind; the cannoli was good. Before dinner they served complimentary fresh bread with garlic oil (very tasty). To top it off, a trio serenaded us with O Sole Mio sung by an excellent tenor. We will return.“

“Huge RAVE for La Piccolina - Winter Garden. We went to celebrate my father’s birthday and everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, so flavorful and generous portions! On top of our delicious meals the service was excellent! They went above and beyond, surprised my daughter with a fun make her own pizza, which was so fun and a sweet surprise. “Sue and I have not been to this place since they converted to sit-down and order. Finally joining the real restaurant world. We have eaten here about 20 times in the last few years and have always enjoyed the food, but felt strange with the get-your-own-drink aspect of it. Anyways, we are seated at our favorite booth, Perry Como, Elvis, Dean Martin, and Sinatra (the usual suspects) crooning at a comfortable level, with decent speakers. Oscar greeted us and took our drinks order, leaving a couple of rather impressive menus with us. We spent some time looking at the menu, as the format has changed somewhat. I ordered the shrimp marsala on linguine, Sue ordered the same on some other pasta noodle (You choose). After a reasonable interval, our food arrived. 2 huge bowls of deliciousness thick enough that it could have been called a stew. Lrt me tell you, I've been to restaurants that the orders contained little meat, little mushrooms, and a LOT of broth. Not here! These bowls were crammed with a ton of food. Shrimp, portobella mushrooms and pasta that was not overcooked. I gotta tell you, Sue and I dine out a LOT...various venues all over WG/Ocoee/Windermere/Clermont. This was probably the finest meal I ever had. The improvements the restaurant made are A+ Definitely worth dropping a hundy on.“

Although the restaurant was bustling, they kindly found us seats at the bar, where we had a front-row view of the kitchen. It was such a treat to watch Chef Kermary put the final touches on each dish with care and precision. Our server, Enidsha, was warm, attentive, and perfectly timed with everything. Manager Austin set the bar high with his professionalism and presence throughout the evening. But the true highlight of our evening was watching one of the cooks, Ante, work his magic on the grill. He noticed our interest and went out of his way to come chat with us. When we told him how much we enjoyed watching him prepare the octopus — and how we couldn’t wait to try it next time — he said, “Why wait?” Minutes later, we were savoring one of the best octopus dishes we’ve ever had. The ambience and food were great (we had the mozzarella sticks, Tuscan Zuppa, chicken Alfredo, shrimp Alfredo and chicken carbonara). Servings were massive! Plus the main meals come with never ending soup, salad and breadsticks. Our server Arianna was the best! She was friendly, attentive and highly knowledgeable about the menu and such a cheerful soul! “Local Gem We live a 15 minute stroll from Mangoni's Italian Market, but at "feels like" temps hovering around 105°, strolling to lunch hasn't been as attractive ? Sunday, hubby wanted a relaxing lunch with sangria! So, we drove (& charged our EV in the parking garage). We had the entire patio to ourselves, as diners likely expected unbearable heat. Mangoni's pergola and great ceiling fans made patio dining the experience we wanted---even when the afternoon storm blew up from the west, we were protected from rain. We enjoyed our favorite, GF goat cheese pizza, with our sangria. Unlike most places, Mangoni's GF crust is an excellent, thin cauliflower crust. And, it’s not an upcharge. We also enjoyed meeting Georgia, the regional manager, who chatted with us about the social hour (11-6pm weekdays). She made a GF garlicky cheesy Flatbread for us to try--now we have more reason to stroll (or drive) over! Oh, and take away is a frequent option. Really, Mangoni's is a local gem.“

“Tonight was our first time eating here. I love how close by it is to where we live. We split an "Antipasto" salad and ordered a 16" "Mediterranean Chicken" pizza. The place was not busy in-house, but they were dealing with a good number of takeout orders. The pizza and salad came out quickly. The pizza was "oven hot", but eating the salad first allowed it to cool a bit. Excellent pizza... thin crust that had a nice chewy texture without being tough. They told us that the crust is "aged" for 72 hours after being mixed to develop flavor. Toppings were freshly prepared and tasty. Our pizza had a pesto base... really good. Very happy with our meal here... we'll definitely be back!!“

“Food is good BUT there’s nothing more frustrating than trying to enjoy a quiet dinner with my husband only to have it interrupted by one of your servers loudly sharing her entire life story with the guests at the table next to us. Throughout our meal, we couldn’t help but overhear her talking about being a stay-at-home mom, her breakup, living with her mother, receiving an allowance, and even details about her father in Tennessee. These are not topics diners should be exposed to while trying to enjoy a meal. By the time I realized the conversation wasn’t ending anytime soon, I asked for my food to be boxed just so I could leave and have some peace. It was disappointing and unprofessional. I hope management addresses this, as staff should remain attentive and discreet so guests can enjoy their dining experience without hearing personal stories from the next table.“

“I had such a wonderful experience at Fiorenzo during my stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. I was in town for a conference and dining alone most evenings, but Gokhan Yilhan, the restaurant manager, and his staff made me feel completely at home.
Gokhan was charming, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Sasha, who served me most nights, was also wonderful, and one evening the chef even came out to visit.
The steak was excellent, and I especially enjoyed the wine. Gokhan let me taste a few different selections until I found just the right one, which was such a thoughtful touch.

“I had a great time celebrating my moms retirement and her birthday! We saved something special to try for the end of our trip. We had pasta, a giant chicken Parm with a ricotta meatball as an appetizer and enjoyed a butter cake for dessert. Everyone worked as a team from our server, our red coat door dining host and the manager that made the cheese wheel magic!!! I loved the special way meals are made here. I don’t know if the truffle oil is for me I like a really creamy Alfredo, but the meat ball and chicken were so tasty. The portions were huge I would come back just to try something new :) Great staff! I love learning little tidbits of peoples lives and how they ended up where they are! We got the deep dish with Italian sausage and onion, the all meat, and their monster pizza in addition to their Cesar and chopped salads. “Where to start? This restaurant is excellent! Every employee we spoke to was pleasant. We did not feel rushed in any way and our server was attentive without being overbearing. We had a starter of a simple pesto flatbread. It was perfectly cooked, not too floppy and not too crunchy. The fresh cheese was melted nicely, the tomatoes were not too “wet” and the balsamic was flavorful without being too powerful. We brought half of it home to enjoy later and avoid filling up on our plentiful portioned entrees. We ordered the chicken Milanese sandwich and the Calabrian and lemon chicken. The Milanese was perfectly cooked, thin but not too thin, crispy but without being greasy. Every flavor on the sandwich was thoughtfully considered and nothing over shadowed each other. The fries weren’t necessarily anything to write home about but certainly nothing wrong with them and no need to be the shining star at an Italian restaurant. Fun addition was the miniature ketchup and mayo bottles to use for dipping. The Calabrian and lemon chicken was also a delight, with a beautifully cooked chicken with nice crispy skin. The chicken did not have any spice from the Calabrian chili as I expected, but had a nice pan sauce with paired well with the lightly blistered greens underneath. The star of this entree was the cheesy polenta. This was cooked so beautifully! The seasoning was very well thought through and was flavored without being overwhelming. You got the salt content from the cheese without it being covered in mounds of cheddar, it was nicely folded in and gave the perfect amount of cheese. This polenta was so creamy, I wish I could have eaten more of the large side I was given but was far too full to enjoy another bite. We both loved our meal and would come back again in a heartbeat. We did not try the made to order- all you can eat- freshly made pasta bar, but I did go back to check it out and was widely impressed. On a cooler day it may have been nice to sit outside by the water as well but the mugginess kept us inside with the AC. Check out this restaurant if you’re even remotely near Universal Orlando!“

It is so creamy and rich. As appetizers we had the garlic knots and wings. I did not try the wings but family said they were amazing. I did try the garlic knots but need I say more? To die for!!!“

“I’m from Connecticut/New York and haven’t been able to find good pizza since moving to Orlando. So many places advertise New York pizza, but they’re all duds. That all changed when I went to Sal’s. If you’re from NY NJ or CT, this is the place you’ve been missing.

The pizza is truly a NY pie, large slices, good cheese. I also like the dinners here. I’d like the sauce better if it was just a little thicker, but hardly a complaint. We finally found our spot, we will be back!“
