“I have literally been coming here for over 20 years that in itself speaks to the quality of the food. I use to live in Miami now live in Broward however that does not stop my weekly visits. The quality and quantity for the cost is amazing.........did I mention I love this place!

“Truly remarkable. We enjoyed the 9-course tasting menu with the wine pairing and waygu enhancement, putting dinner at $375pp including tax and tip. Worth every penny. Our primary server, Gabriela, was fantastic although several other staff members delivered our dishes, including both managers and a member of the chef’s team. I enjoyed the variance as it allows one to meet several members of the staff. Of the nine wines there was one I didn’t care for so, when asked how I liked it and said, “not so much” it was immediately replaced with a choice between two fine wines. It’s in these moments you understand the staff are true professionals providing the best dining experience possible. Gabriela, or Gaby as she prefers to be called, is a true professional The only marks against is the dress code. One gentleman at the bar was in a T-shirt and a baseball cap. Later two gentleman sat at a high top near the door, both in baseball caps. Also, the bartender was wearing a tank-top with the back cutout, something one would expect at a beach bar. The stark contrast between she and the very smartly dressed manager, Jonathan Smith, in a suit and tie, was noticeable. I’m old school dining with my 94 year old father who is really old school so my critique of attire when we’re only here for dinner may seem displaced. My apologies. For anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in Miami Beach I highly recommend Stubborn Seed. You will leave full and an experience you’ll remember forever“

The southern chicken dish was some of the best fried chicken I've had. The flavor was deeper, more complex than your typical fried chicken. House-made pickles and pimento biscuits were the perfect compliment. Collard greens were definitely top 3 all time. Pork chop was slightly overcooked but still delicious. Mashed potatoes and crispy onions with the chop were fantastic. High booze content in the cocktails - got your money's worth. The DJ was just getting going outside as we were leaving. “Went for their anniversary celebration. The food as usual did not disappoint. We opted for the dumpling appetizer and the pork belly and curry noodle specials. Our server Natalia was on point! Service is always good there, but she went above and beyond. Friendly and professional. Knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Offered excellent recommendations. She made us feel so welcome that we almost didn't want to leave. This place always leaves us looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for a great time and meal. “Overall, I had a good experience and really enjoyed my visit. My main disappointment was with the initial welcome from the hostess, as I did not feel properly greeted or acknowledged when I arrived. First impressions matter, and I think this could have been handled with a little more warmth and attentiveness. Feeling the need to mention I was charged the no call no show fee even before the 15 minute grace period was up but not even informed it was being refunded after checking in.

The service from my server and food runners/ server assistants however, was definitely the highlight of my experience. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and made sure I felt taken care of throughout my visit. Their hospitality really helped make up for the lackluster greeting.

I did also find the service from the bartenders to be somewhat subpar. There seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and engagement, which took away from what could have been an even better experience.

That said, I appreciate the establishment and what it brings to the community. With a little more consistency in hospitality from the hostess, bar staff or a manager this could have been an excellent overall experience. Thank you. Visit was on Thursday August 27.“
