“We went to this restaurant for my daughters birthday. She had been there previously for her husband‘s birthday, so she wanted to go back for hers. All in all the service was excellent, very attentive. I can’t say I wasn’t happy with my food because he asked my daughter if she wanted her steak medium rare that she had and he didn’t ask me if I wanted my steak on my Noodles meet them where are we are done so when it came, it was medium rare I can’t eat me to where I feel like blood in my mouth so I asked him to go back and make it well done so they actually went back and literally bought the meat to every bite that I took take it tasted like burnt grill Choco pie crispy very unhappy with my meal very dissatisfied but other than that my daughter like to hurtful my son-in-law like this food oh my granddaughter, she did not eat her food but all in all it was OK experience just not happy with my food“

“Gave this place a try because of a friend who kept saying it's the best sushi in the area. It's quite nice. Went in on a sunday afternoon. When we got there, noone was there, and 2 other parties rolled in 20 minutes after us. If you don't want the placed packed, pick sunday rather than saturday/friday.Ginger dressing salad and miso soup came out, and they were delicious.Got us sushi combo (12 sushi nigiri and 1 tuna roll) and medusa roll. Sushi combo let us try the fish we never tried before. Didn't like all of them, but none of them had bad smell or taste. It was just a preference thing. Medusa roll was good, eel sauce they put on top was a little overbearing, but overall, still very fresh tasting roll.Udon was ordered for the kid, not crazy good (i can make it better at home) but we went there for sushi, so I won't knock a star off becaues of mediocre udon.Server (Wynn) was very nice and attentive. Price is a little on the high side, but environment and downtown location probably justifies the higher price than average.Will probably return when i crave something special.Note : parking can be a little tricky during peak time as there are limited number of spaces. Yes you can find spots for sure, but you might have to park a few minutes away if you can't find anything close.“

“I was having a bad day. Like the worst day of my life. And all I wanted was poke. The staff could see it in my eyes and were super nice and grateful. They checked on me and were super sweet. I got up to clean up, and there was a box of pocky waiting for me on my table and a silent smile. The food is amazing but it’s because of the service that I come in every week. ❤️. “We generally don't go to Fins except if out of towners want to go for the sunsets. Service has usually been fair to poor. We were pleasantly surprised this time. Simon did a great job and funny too.That doesn't make up for a steak that bordered on medium-well when medium-rare was requested, in my case. The others in our party were happy with their meals. At $48 for a 6oz filet, it should be done right, everytime, no fail. And you shouldn't have to wonder if it will be a good experience or not....not at those prices. The only sure bet is the location.“

“My family and I ate at Rose and Ivy for the first time last night and we will 100% be going back! We have been coming to Sarasota for many years and this is now going to be one of our favorite restaurants. We were eating at Clasico (another favorite of ours) the other night when we met the owner and he informed us he recently opened another restaurant around the corner that we should try out, so the next night we took him up on his advice and we’re glad we did! The atmosphere was incredible as was the food and service. We indulged in some appetizers, sushi, and our filet was amazing! If you’re looking for a unique menu this place is a must try as there’s something on the menu that’ll interest anybody. The patio area is beautiful!“

“All other sushi places we've been to in Sarasota have been okay at best, but we finally tried Sushi Bay and wish we had been coming here all along. Not only was our server Angga attentive, but he was very friendly and enthusiastic, something you don't often get in authentic sushi restaurants, or frankly most restaurants in Sarasota, in general. The sushi rolls were generously filled with flavorful fish, and beautifully garnished. Excellent product presentation! The atmosphere was clean, neat, and welcoming. Ambiance was classy, but comfortable. The owner even came by to greet us in a genuinely friendly demeanor, which is rare for any restaurant on a Sunday evening. Pricing was very fair, especially for currently being in an economic state of hyperinflation. Bottom line is we'll be back again soon, and regularly!“

“Bushido Sushi SRQ is amazing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Winnie and Ivy are always so welcoming, kind and helpful. The food is incredible - literally everything we've ever tried has been fantastic (and it's probably been everything they offer by now). The Gyoza and Shumai are the best I have ever had. But, don't let the word get out - I like hidden gems all to myself!“

“We came here on a recommendation , and it was well worth it! They have a great white board waiting list system right outside their door, with chairs so the inside does not get crowded… as the crowds are very heavy here. We waited about 15 min for a table for two. We stuck with the sushi menu and went a little crazy ordering as everything looked incredible. They also give you a marker and you can write on the menu which items you like. The quality is excellent. We truly enjoyed our experience here. I highly recommend it!“

“Best sushi I've had in a while. Service was great and catered to our pace. Started with the lobster and crab rangoons. HOLY MOLY. If that is up your alley, please order. After talking with our server, he mentioned that it is one of their employees' only jobs, and I can definitely tell it is made with love. Best rangoons I've had. As far as sushi goes... mango definitely goes on sushi! Also appreciated the presentation with the orchid on top. I enjoyed this meal so much, left feeling full and happy!!“

“So so glad i gave this place another go! My first experience was not great—they emailed my notification that my order was ready and i didn’t see it until the food had been sitting for 40 min. However, now I’ve ordered and dined in multiple times since and it’s been excellent. Last time we dined in, we were seated directly next to a very noisy kid-birthday party. This struck us as very odd since it was early and there was plenty of other seating. Thankfully, the party was only there for the first 30 minutes that we were dining, so it didn’t ruin the entire experience. The food is fantastic. Fresh cut of sushi and excellent presentation. Prices are average with other sushi in the area. One of my new top faves. (If you have back/spine issues, definitely bring a seat cushion for support. The seating is very hard at many tables).“

“I'm normally a very picky eater but the food was amazing. I loved the little bowls of spiced vegetables brought out before the meal. I can't stand cucumbers and this was the only time I was able to eat and ENJOY cucumbers.Our server was fantastic, very friendly. It was a very nice restaurant. “Second time dining here. Really love this place and the patio is delightful. Not sure what happened because our first visit everything was perfectly timed. Last visit from the time we were seated until our entrees came was 2 hours and 15 mins. Maybe longer. It's like our party of four got forgotten. We were having such a good time with friends we didn't really notice at first but then saw other tables that had come in much later than us were being served. Odd. Hoping this is just a once off kinda thing.“

“Ended up here completely by chance. We were planning on somewhere nearby but the wait was too long. Walked in about 7pm and were immediately seated. Server was busy and a bit distracted, but got it done eventually. After watching other servers, I think ours may have been new. We had the 18 piece sushi/sashimi dish and a couple of appetizers and all were very tasty. They had freshly made wasabi (not the paste) and oh wow! The serving platters were fun, but as the ice sculptures melted, they ran over and made a mess. Didnt like that much. Overall very happy and with a few tune ups could be 5 star. We'll absolutely be back.“

“This is an all-around solid restaurant. Excellent food and service, served up in a well-appointed dining room and bar. We have gone there several times during our three week vacation. We eat at the bar. The bartender, nicknamed "Golf" (pictured), is super friendly and makes great drinks, always going out of his way to delight his customers, even playing a trumpet occasionally! Every dish we tried has been excellent, with the exception of the Crab Rangoon, which we found to be just okay. We only had sushi once but it was very good. Our favorite dish is Pad Kee Mow. We take the seafood option as an addition. It is not too spicy with a wonderful blend of veggies and noodles. You can choose other additions if seafood is not your taste. An overall great experience.“

“Ahhh this restaurant is really really awesome! It isn’t an enormous place but is comfortabl! I suggest for alone people who wanna eat a delicious food, because you can seat on the “bar” and be served. If you like boba teas or special juices they also have a unit at the same building.“
